Love a Welshie msmatch, A,B,C or D? My girlie is an Irish Draft / Connemara cross.
Well done Bala and good news on Uncle.
For yesterday,
Lazier start to day as beloved had day off, scrambled eggs on marmite toast for breakfast.
Had made plans and then small dog was poorly, luckily in the garden but still reluctant to leave her alone.
Her Dad did dog sit for an hour or so while I went over to see my girlie, very mild in the sunshine.
All seemed well with small dog so made her rice & scrambled eggs, good job had a good supply of eggs!
Lindor have a new flavour of chocolate, salted caramel and we had to have 3 each to make sure our first impression of yum was correct 😉12 -
Mornning all
Pleased you got some good news Bala
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Sent a parcel of gently worn bras and new pants to Smalls for All - a charity that sends them to Africa to enable girls to not be harassed in school
2. That involved a walk to the post office. Walked back thro the cemetery - i like walking through it as it's very calming, green and away from the roads and traffic noise.
3. Painted a side table and my sugar, tea and utensil cannisters that needed refreshing.
4. OH cooked nut roast for tea - was nommy, though he said he's never cooking it again as it's quite fiddly
5. Watched David Walliams' Who do You Think You Are - interesting.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
Pleasures for yesterday (Friday)
1) Not a pleasure to set off from the house at 4am, but made it toSolihull and back (twice) without incident. 7 hours of driving yesterday.
2) Bigger son had a good day doing outdoor activity type things in Hertfordshire with 2 former colleagues. (One of the colleagues lives in Solihull so drove the rest of the way).
3) Hens OK.
4) Had a good clean and tidy and de-moulded the ceilings upstairs.
5) Very tasty tea of a pie from our butchers in the village then "emergency" vegetables from Waitrose, as we were too tired to cook.
6) Smaller son has been at home for so long (22 months) that he has outgrown or worn out all his jumpers. I have ordered some from Ebay and got a few bits from charity shops and yesterday they were all washed and dried ready to go. He is very particular about style and colour (all hoodies but without a zip, all in muted colours) but he wore one happily all evening.
7) Watched HIGNFY in bed but am so tired I have no memory of it! Couldn't stay up to watch Channel 4 stuff so have got that later.
Bala - good news on the tribunal. Ours (for EHCP re-write) is in February.13 -
Oh well, BoP Time!
Down the ...For the moment, I shall rant on about ...
DundeeDoll said:4) switched fuel (bop i can see you being very happy i finally got round to it) then switched back cos amazingly my original company could suddenly charge me even less
Guidance Usage 3,000 kWh for electric, FIT THEM LED BULBS. It save BoP 500kWh a year, or £80 a year Liquidated and putt inn too wobbelades! 10,000 kWh for gas heating! Get the green grant for the cavity wall, saved BoP 2,500 kWh a year, or another £80 a year! Liquidated inn too wobbleaeds! No mains gas, get the green grant for the heat pump! This works out about the same as gas!
FIT THE TIMED THERMOSTAT! Costs about £80, if them LEDs are fitted, money back! Got it?
I has chequed the ur stitched dot con site, and all deals are more than BoP is paying, butt does as DD has dun! Most proper suppliers allow in switch during the term. Ask! Is what BoP does!
And that timed thermostat means that the houe is kept constant, less time to heat up and no condensate! Bin lick that in BoP pad for years! First bungalow thing, no condensate. Bough old dears house in Cov, fitted CH and soon had house with no condensate! Current palace fitted out, with second thermostat, thirst one failed!, No Condensate! Tootsies warm! Oh and befores I gets moor rantish. HW is on for ten minutes inn the morning and 10 inn the evening! Oh, and the thermostat on the boiler hit the winter position this weak! Hotter, so there!
Thermostat, check locally for fitter!

It is not the price you are conned that is capped, the unit rate is capped. If you use more, you pay more!
Rant Over! Unless of curse you don't switch!
Variations now on yours BoP happy events!
Had the Bacon and Egg banjo last doy at BoPsie's Salt Mine and then scooped her up, home for some natter, whine and a glass of wobbleade! Cheeses were also consumed! Court up with the uni quiz! Looks differing inn the Perspex box! Watched some of the man thing with James May!

Kitty is ready for her footie again this day and will be on form later! She is working hard! I did flap training yesterday, as she is still not licking the flap, and we has old curtains there, she knews watt BoP was up too and flew inn the door. I gave up. I will try again tomorrow!

Phew! I thought you'd all vanished! The thread had slipped to page 2.
Bala - glad things are looking up. I agree with you, and others. The trees have been magnificent this year. I think they're trying to cheer us up
Yesterday
DD and partner came for the last permitted in-garden chat. They brought a bottle of prosecco so we all had a glass and shivered. It was a brief visit but was good to see them.
Today
Went to a cafe with OH - still permissible! Seems people round here do as they're told. It's usually very busy with family groups but today was less than half full, of mostly couples with the same colour hair as us ( grey, of course!). It's such a shame for businesses, and the people they employ.
It's rained all afternoon, so I've cleaned the windows inside. Then I felt I'd justified sitting down with the crossword. Didn't manage many but will try again tomorrow.
Happy ☔ Saturday everyone14 -
Hello. A quiet day here. Had been wide awake for a bit through the night so had a lie in and DD2 dealt with the doggy.
Went as far as supermarket to get some wine and flowers for a colleagues birthday and then went into work with them then back in to supermarket for a few things for tea.Fires on. Cozy in here but chilly outside.
Son is making tea when he comes in from his walk...hurry up boy I’m hungry!15 -
Laineyt, we just pony share our lovely Welsh B boy ... Daughter rides two days a week and does all jobs those two days. I had a pony when I was a teen but this is cheaper way for my dd to be able to enjoy a bit of what I had!
Mhagster I also had a lie in and my dd sorted the dog, I do like a Sat morning snooze!! She was off to town with her friend on the bus so was up anyway.
Brother came and did a job for me which has been needing to be done for about six weeks! It's lovely to get that off my list!
Got a better home insurance deal so have saved myself some money and feel virtuous and another job ticked off.
Back is improving so it was a pleasure today to be able to load the washing machine without groaning in agony!
Bought a very self indulgent latte and a chocolate bar ... Yum.

Hello lovelies
thank you for all kind words. Cannot seem to shift this exhaustion. Sleep broken. Am sure I resemble a zombie !
Frith good luck in February. So glad you have a date.
Have had success with supermarket coupons and free buckets from someone who was getting rid of them. It pays to walk a dog............. Saw more lovely red and gold trees today. One road was really odd. As I stood at the bottom looking up the road one side was completely clear of leaves but the other side was strewn with them.
Have just had a fry up.........needed comfort food. Eggs, mushrooms, bacon, beans and a few chips. Feel stuffed and sleepy. Hate cooking them but oh my...........delicious !
It's sooooo nice to have a warm house. And hot water..........
Suffolk Sue you have put me in a quandry. Do I become balabaloo (courtesy of DD) or bala la boo. Sounds like Danny La Rue.........
Hugs to all

1) a lovely bath with a free shower gel from lush which makes very good bubble bath (i much prefer a bar of soap for a shower)
2) led the prayer group. it's United Nations Day and the UN is 75 so based my opening prayers round their 17 tasks
3) by which time it had stopped raining (it chucked it this morning) so donned boots and walked the boys to the nature reserve. having read the first few pages of Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles I took time to count the different types of berry I saw - I spotted snowberries, blackberries, elderberries, rose hips, and berries on holly, ivy, Rowan, cotoneaster, berberis (3 different colours), honeysuckle and on my way back yew. Still keeping an eye out for privet - lots of privet but no berries due to everyone pruning!
4) went to mum's as we had an AGM on zoom (it's usually in Edinburgh) was very enjoyable, with many there from overseas who wouldn't normally be
5) then supper then rugby, oh and well done kitty the hatters have another 3 points.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A long sleep! I obviously just need to stay awake for 2 days to achieve this.
2) Part baked rolls for lunch (a smaller son favourite) with tuna, mayo and salad.
3) Hens OK, but pelting with rain all day so I could not linger.
4) Tidied up and got a load of washing done.
5) Bigger son enjoyed a 22 mile mountain bike ride. Smaller son has also been jolly all day.
6) Did a pasta bake for tea and the sauce was good - lots of onions, garlic and chorizo. Also used up the rest of the squash in another "pumpkin" pie and made a few mince pies from the pastry that was left.
7) Did the online pub quiz.
8) Been watching television in bed since.14
