Hello. Bedtime. An okay day. Been bright though not particularly warm nor particularly cold...somewhere in between!
Was working for a couple of hours over lunch. Excellent tips 😀
Dropped off two bags of clothes to charity.
Phoned my mother ( who was having a rant) sigh! Then a much nicer chat to niece.
made mince and mashed potatoes for tea with broccoli, cabbage and carrots.
had a good walk with dog ,went over the field for first time in ages.13 -
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to see my friend for a cup of tea. Ridiculous roadworks on every road going into floody city so it took over an hour to get there.
3) Hens well.
4) Bigger son and brother in law got the new (found) canoe and drove it to brother in law's garden.
5) Did a big roast with lots of veg, stuffing and Yorkshires.
6) Did bread and butter pudding - hadn't cooked one for years!
7) Went for a night (evening) drive with bigger son. Still practising for his driving test.
8) Watched Ambulance. Still sad, but not so bad as when it was set in the Black County and all the old men sounded like my grandad.
9) Will watch more episodes of Ghosts just now.12 -

Reasonable day
1. Work at different location- much better.
A couple of emails regarding my flexible working and provisional start date of 4th January.
2. Free lunch at work. Not very exciting and couldn't have it daily but free.
3. Food shopped after work. It was expensive but spices, tomato ketchup, vinegars etc were all running out at the same time. Friendly person in the full as I thought I had lost my debut card. I managed to find it in the end..
4. DS2 is starting to work mainly from home now. He will save money on petrol and will get a new work laptop which will be a docking station. I was told I was old as had no idea what that meant!
5. Watched Ambulance too.10 -
Just now ( nearly 8 am) the sun almost broke through the clouds. The garden was glowing, especially the acers.. It only lasted a few minutes but looked perfectly autumn.
Yesterday a trip to town. Got a very reduced t shirt and a summery dress in Marks. Just £9 for both!! Made my day!I
Think I need to spend some time today sorting out the house plants. Most have never been repotted, and it shows!
Had a bout of very heavy rain yesterday so no need to water anything. Time to turn off the watering system now I think.
Happy autumn everyone . It's really here now.

For yesterday,
Yes & rain and lots of it, got soaked on first dog walk of day, she has a coat as well but it doesn’t cover her ears so wonderfully curly for a while.
Out to farm shop and they had my fave in stock, Russet apples, perfect with slice of cheese. A number went into my basket.
Mr Nutkin busy burying walnuts in our lawn.
Feeling a tad meh in the afternoon but an indolent afternoon reading on the sofa helped.
Like others, watching Ambulance.

Hello. It’s been a beautiful day here but chilly now and heatings on.
watched the sunrise this morning.
quick doggy walk and then DD2 and I went down to our woods. Parked the car at bottom of hill then walked uphill to then walk downhill to allotment. Picked some flowers and despaired at weeds ( though just looked and didn’t touch,) then walked beyond allotment by riverside. Then back up the hill to go down a hill, up a hill, up another hill , saw OH tree ( but too rough underfoot for my feet) to go up close as I normally do) A and then downhill!Had to go to mums, she’d had a scam call from Amazon and was convinced it was real and they were going to call back...they got me! Bunch of chancers! Gave them what for and told them I was calling the police and to remove her number. Now my mother is anything but naive and gullible but they were so convincing and she was sure they needed the £79.99. Searched the phone number and it’s a notorious scam line. Then went to supermarket on way home...no loo roll!Home and a lovely chat with DD1 then out with doggy through the field and back again. Through some rather long grass! Waaah!Cut the grass. Had a chat with a neighbour.Just me for tea so had a chicken Kiev and peas and then tinned rice pudding with tinned peaches and it was all very yummy. Then a very hot shower on the aching limbs and into jammies.12
