Tug inn ...
Eppleton Hall. Last surviving paddle steam tug!
PK. Inn Boston last year, BoPsie had a wee glass of the JD Honey, when the barman took her glass, and filled it again. We call it Glug Glug round BoP's plaice! Butt very nice!
DD Kitty has been without food for ...More BoPiness!
No dippy eggs this day, butt I had the Honey Monster. I has lots of this as BoPsie is not to liking it! Also had crumpet buttered with marmite and tea!
Watched the gooners last night and they won again! Cheeses, nuts and wobbleades were consumed. All was good!
Got the cod out for dinner this weak, so will be with homemade sauce of the parsley and some doorstop carrots and peas!
That is again bit short today! This is only one of many posts this weak from BoP!

Pleasures today -
Waking up after a really good night's sleep. I had changed to a different pillow, one a bit firmer, and the bedlinen was fresh on yesterday.
Decided at last minute to visit Lidl this morning instead of in the week. It was not too crowded, people were masked and keeping their distance, and whilst the shelves were not overful, there wasn't any obvious signs of anything being in short supply.
Lovely walk with dog, the rain held off.
Had a sing through some choir songs.
Did a bit of Bollywood dance for exercise.
Lovely warm quiche, potatoes and salad for lunch, followed by white chocolate and blueberry cheesecake.
Topped up the ongoing batch of elderberry brandy and started a new batch of raspberry rum.
Jobs crossed off list, am now relaxing for the rest of the day.One life - your life - live it!15 -
Hello. Just woken up from an after work snoozette!Workety work was fine and one shift down with one to go! Home with some leftover baked potatoes ( some days they all go quickly) that will get chopped up and go in freezer .Okay tips. To go in the jar. Saving towards decorating in November.
My boyo has done his first lot of night shifts, he’s slept most of today.Did a bit of visual display at work which I always enjoy.
Nice walk first thing...we stop at the bramble bush to pick a berry or two for the doggy! But it’s over a burn ( small steam) and not easy to access to go actual picking lots .
Yesterday was spent quietly. Trying to rest my foot as much as I could before standing constantly on it for 2 days. Just pottered around. Watched some telly. Enjoyed sitting on my new sofa...it’s soooo long! Enjoyed my last thing at night walk with dog and coming in and everything all cosy.13 -
Bala, well done on the fox training, could you train ours please, we are contemplating a fox deterrent, after he kindly marked both the front and back door mats last night.
1 My mother always used to say Sundays were for resting, as she proceeded to make a full roast, I always apologise as I needed to deep clean upstairs, I vaxed, changed the ferret bedding and our bedding, two loads of washing out on the line, and cleaner thou the machine. A pleasure it’s all done.
2 DH wanted takeaway tonight, but I was stumped as everywhere is closed, on the voucher, so we used up leftovers in one bowl and it was edible, takeaway tomorrow on the voucher.
3 I ordered our new mattress from Costco, I know that £200 will be coming back to us, but spending it out in the first place is hard, but a good nights sleep, apparently has a price tag.
4 Watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
5 Working with the latest rescue, he is so scared we have no idea what happened prior just trying to get him used to a friendly touch, he’s slowly getting there but we have never had one so scared of humans, but he’s made a couple of ferret friends so I’m hoping he will learn off them and us.

Blackbeard..........JD Honey sounds good. Nuff said !
Happycas...........yes, doesn't take much to shift me into different gear. My brother, just by his presence is a joy-maker. We had lots of laughs today ................all childlike and daft but I treasure these moments. We are lucky because we both wake up looking to be cheerful, my sister is like this too. My brother and I are very affectionate and it makes such a huge difference to life. Mum also like this.
Well, I was right. I had a great day. Nothing exciting, just lovely to have great company as I pottered with my jobs. Managed to stab myself with a Stanley Knife. I bravely bore the pain () but using the sanitiser later made me remember why it's not a good idea to go around stabbing yourself !
I tackled a job. Tiny spare room was full of piles of clothes no longer used. Sorted through and now have nice lot to deliver to charity shop. Having said that, if my plan sticks and I spend the next year getting healthier, fitter and slimmer.......I might have to buy it all back.
Right, bearing in mind that it's not October 1st yet...........when I WILL put my plans into action, I bought a frozen chocolate gateaux for less than 2 pounds. Bargain. Can't wait..........
The weather today was absolutely beautiful. I love the light in September.
hope you all feel content and happy. Huge hugs for those that are struggling. I really do send my love.

I HAVE A GOLD STAR and A MEDAL and a Title !12 -
PK......this is the funny thing........another fox was marking our front door mat but has stopped also. Wonder if they've all had a chat..........
So sorry your little rescue is so fearful. Tiggy was either anxious (pacing, constant hunting for food) or completely ignored us. I think she learnt a lot from my beautiful sweet Murphy. She turned into a bolshy one..............just took time. He'll respond to your love.

Another glorious sunny day in Liverpool
1) beautiful long walk again along the river. there was a sailing race going on so we stopped to watch them tack round the buoy
2) saw some lads land some dog fish which they then threw back in - took me back to dissection in zoology A'level
3) coming back to the lock we watched several boats from the race come through back to the mariner
4) watched Maltese Falcon, another classic I've never seen before (xoh is a Bogart fan - i think i have a few to go!)
5) then the Leicester game. Delighted that JJ scored his first premiership goal

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep, though a bit too short!
2) A driving marathon this a.m, but nice scenery/weather. It was one of those times where I had to drive bigger son to brother in law's so he could help lift the canoe onto the roof rack, drive to what would be the finishing point of the canoe trip, brother in law appeared in his car, left his car there and I had to drive him back to the boats left at the starting point!
3) Had a quick look around floody town while other people were canoeing. Had a sausage sandwich and read my magazine.
4) Walked along the river bank a bit looking out for my sister, brother in law and niece in their canoe and bigger son in the little kayak. Suddenly they appeared in the green canoe, but with bigger son in ANOTHER mystery canoe with the kayak tied on top! On their travels, they had seen the same 3 kingfishers I saw the other day, an otter (I've never seen one) then bigger son paddled over to look at what he thought was foam trapped in some rocks - and it was a capsized canoe! It had been underwater for some time so probably got washed out of someone's garden during the huge floods in February.
5) I got in the new canoe as well and we went through the town and under the bridge (we usually get out before that point).
6) Had a cup of tea in the museum garden.
7) Bigger son went out in the evening. Smaller son had a new mouse mat arrive and is very pleased.
8) About to watch Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing.
Canoes!

1. I had booked tickets (free) for the sky garden so we went. Arrived very early at 10.20 instead of 11.15 and were let in. It was a good move as we're allowed in and was very quiet. The views were stunning and very few people. It got much busier at 11 and we left shortly after.
2. Walked to St Paul's cathedral and walked round the outside. It is beautiful building.
3. Walked across the wobbly bridge and stood outside the Rate ordering a pre booked tickets so we could go in. All free.
4. Home by train. Everywhere was fairly quiet and majority of people were masks as appropriate.
5. Oestopath appointment. It was much needed and feel better now.13
