Hi all,
Im back to reflect on my day and highlight all the positives from which there have been loads!
1. We have agreed on an exchange and completion date for the 18th September 😱🤞🏽 Can’t wait to be in my first home!
2. Had a good think about my values and goals for this month and realised a few things. Set some boundaries and today had a wonderful day not feeling guilty for not having the time to do everything. Completed the task I wanted to and I feel so much better!
3. Cleaned up my free (donated) BBQ and it’s now in the shed, a dirty job I’ve been putting off!
4. Had a wonderful nights sleep last night after a bit of meditation on the headspace app (highly recommended BTW)
5. Had a pretty good day at work, no stress, no dramas. Lovely.
Have a wonderful, rest of Tuesday all! 💪🏼Officially a homeowner 🥳🥳
September Grocery Challenge: £146.60/£200
October Grocery Challenge: £175 (rough estimate)/£175
November Grocery Challenge: £77.96/£15012 -

Hello. ‘Tis ever so breezy outside as in me and the dog nearly got blown over a few times by huge gusts! Bizarre and warm too...19o according to my phone app.A fairly quiet day . Dropped something off at boss’ house this morning. Had a quick chat.Supermarket. Treated myself to two lovely chrysanthemum plants for outside my front porch from my tips. One yellow. One russet. Then just pottering around at home. Hung washing out...certainly wasn’t 19o then! Still damp when it came in.Doggy companion all day. Constantly by my side which I rather like.Friend dropped something off this evening. Quick chatter with her.Started watching All Creatures Great and Small on channel 5 app.12

Could we have a bit of your breeze please, MHags? 29 degrees in the middle of the day and still strangely warm and humid now!
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Bit of a lie in.
2) Phone call from the museum I had been helping out at and I confirmed I will help them with their paperwork again in the new year.
3) Hens very well this morning.
4) Bigger son drove me to look at a potential new car. We rarely get to drive in towns so a trip to Birmingham was taken up enthusiastically! I explained that people nose their way out of side roads as they get fed up of waiting for a gap and that people change lanes randomly but just to keep in your own lane and keep your eyes open. He got on pretty well. I had a little test drive in the potential car (with bigger son in the passenger seat) and immediately got lost, which was embarrassing, reappearing at the garage about 15 minutes later.
5) We went to a large Asian supermarket, which is also a treat for us as we don't have anything similar, and bigger son bought bits he recognised from Nepal plus naans, chutney, mooli etc.
6) Made both a chicken casserole and a chicken curry so plenty for tea and for the freezer.
7) Spoke to my school friend on the phone for nearly 3 hours!
8) In unexpected news, the head of the SEND college for smaller son phoned and we have an appointment on Monday afternoon... Then they will see if they can meet his needs and after that we need County to agree to fund it...10 -
For yesterday,
Bit of gardening, very muggy and kept being investigated by sleepy wasps so came back in and did a bit of research on trees as planning to plant a couple this autumn.
Made a loaf and a pot of lentil & pepper soup.
Went to see girlie, too hot in jeans and tee, summer has come back! Reminded by FB that it was 3 years ago that my pal & I travelled up to the Midlands to pick her up. It’s certainly been an adventure and she sure has tested me at times but wouldn’t change a thing.
Made a reservation for meal out later in the week, first time we have been to pub since lockdown started so will be a real treat not to cook.
Taking of which, tasty tea of Mussels in white wine sauce with Fries and salad.

Some good things happening for a fair few ospers - long overdue for some of you.
Let County open their purses at last, Frith. Your new girls are laying well+so soon!
Happy news re:completion date, Competsoph.
Happycas - &'s many green tomatoes grow larger and larger without a hint, or tint, of embarrassment:-)

1. Off by 7 to be at remote fenland salvage, old family concern, by 8. Yesss!!! & fitted correct Meriva fuel cap cover. Hooray:-), although another £18. Even better, ebay person supplied freepost rtn label, printed out in Town of Horse and wrong'un posted back for refund.
2. Also in Town of Horse and another Halfords visit, for spark plug changeover tool. Strange new Food Warehouse place adjacent, so msg from needy young people meant & bought potatoes for them there. It's an Iceland outlet, which & doesn't really understand.
3. Eventually back, handover done, black green tea in thermos and out to rugby training, to allow the 2hrs' engine cooling necessary before plug change. So good to watch juniors, then middles, chat with many and enjoy. Finally, Seniors turnout - 52! Great working under this Coach.
4. & and spark plugs. Quite a fiddle. Took black strip thing off, as per Haynes and earlier nice Halfords' Chris showed. Only 2 biggish torx screws, but black strip thing did not want lift-off. Knew to ease it gently, as graphic pics of snapped-in-2s were shown. Eventually done. 2 spark plugs out, but had to let them cool more, until they could come out of remove-y thing tool.
Etcetera. Rugby coach chat. He may have spoken to someone big and strong with know-how:-) So nicely, that N said 'Stand aside &....' and rather insisted on completing job. It WAS getting dark :-) Fingers x'd, the slowing and surging may be fixed.
Well done if you haven't glazed over reading this🏅
5. Glorious new pic from NZ of little chap. 4 months of handsome-as:-)

Mowing must be done today.
Tip run tmrw - more clearing for birds with broken wings.
Happycas - feel free to breathe fire on &'s toms.
Old uni friend's birthday tmrw - sort of alt. lean times sorted. No Café Rouge open for us - Town of Gown's now reads 'permanently closed'.
Keep taking care everyone.

Purple kitten - hopefully your DH surgery will go ahead soon. Practise your ca!m and soothing tones meanwhile! Good luck with your interview.
Frith - I honestly did not think bigger son would look so well so soon. Fingers crossed for the next chapter in the too long running smaller son saga.
Ampersand - will send tomato ripening vibes your way. Someone ( mouse? hedgehog?) is nibbling the very few left on our plants. Just one little nibble and then move into another one! Never mind. We've had loads so I don't mind sharing. And it serves me right for showing off!
DH has less pain today, so on the mend. Though yesterday we had to go to Urgent Out Of Hours to get antibiotics as one of the wounds looked red and angry. Pleasures are NHS ,and DS who took us, brought us back and collected ABs from chemist.
Gorgeous best of Autumn weather today so might persuade DH to sit in the garden later. I'm a big believer in the restorative powers of fresh air and sunshine.
Happy Wednesday everyone
