Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Almost a lie in.
2) Bigger son in agonies but the emergency dentist wouldn't see him as he already has a dentist... Cue trips to 2 pharmacies for cocodamol and a numbing mouthwash. Still painful. Chances are that he'll end up with an abscess by the time we get back to our dentist. 2 pharmacists very helpful.
3) Hens OK.
4) Did 2 loads of washing and some tidying.
5) Peeled and stewed many apples, for the freezer and for bigger son to eat!
6) Dr Who repeats on this afternoon, so I sat and watched those with bigger son.13 -
1. Spent time in the garden- clearing a very overgrown part of it. Looks better even DS2 noticed what I had done!
2. DS1 watched rugby live - he was lucky enough to get a ticket. Result wasn't what he wanted but still enjoyed watching.
3. Laugh with neighbours - they are putting up increasingly high chicken wire fences to keep their new hens contained.
4. Washing dried on the line - had loads to do after holiday.
5. My car insurance is now £100 cheaper.

Nice day yesterday:
cooked breakfast 🍳- bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans for OH, toms for me.
couple of hours gardening, tidying up all the pots and baskets, restaked the tomatoes 🍅 as they are heavy with fruit and mostly deleafed them hoping the sun will get to them. Should be a few runner beans for today’s dinner, they haven’t been very prolific!
ex’s own reared sausages with mash, peas, carrots and onion gravy for dinner - absolutely yummy!
followed by Iceland’s Victoria sponge - not bad
Caught the end of the beautiful sunrise this morning, off for a walk with friend a bit later this morning
Have a fab Sunday everyone 😊13 -
For yesterday,
Didnt get up until 8.45, unheard of for me but suspect it was down to fresh linen and extra blanket on bed.
Girlie got a pamper and I cleaned my tack after it got wet the other day.
Do dragonflies live in fir trees? There must have been 20 flitting above our heads as I grazed her in hand next to a line of the trees, one even sat on her rump!
My team knocked out a Championship side from the cup, away from home as well.
Picking up chestnuts to add to autumn decorations on evening walk, even small dog brought one over and dropped it at my feet.
Easy tea of lasagne from the freezer with roasted veg.

That Kick Started it then!
On the Deck. USS Intrepid, New York.
New Freezer and Doggy Bag, made to measure and decluttered! Bacon and eggs, then snorkers and mash. Proper Food! Now with the news from the BoPsphere!
Again watched the T20 cricket last day. Buzzard wings and bitsers were served. Wobbleades were consumed, with cheese, twiglets and nuts! Bitsers were the left overs peppers, mushrooms, tom, onion with some best back cuttings mixed inn a tom chili sauce! The best back from the bacon is covering the chipolata snorkers for dinner!
BoPsie is offs to gets the birdseed, so we is dining out with a dog burger and cheese for lunch! Will be with onions. Tasty!
Managed to just glimpse the tin pot action last nite, but pleased we is out of it. More for the league this season! Luton still have a chance though! Just bin on the Cod Almighty page! As for Engerland, poor game and the referee was only evening things up with cards and penalties!
Well groomed this day. Hare cut and beard trimmed. Nails done. Then showered and splashed with the ship cologne. Stung as well!
Kitty is being flap trained. At the moment is is held open for her. We has tried to encourage her to go through when she is out, but she is having none of it. She does note knows she has to head butt the thing to open it! Dainty thing. But she is getting there. This morn she saw off the squirrel! But I say she has ball control!
Well just finish mes tea and chocolate biscuit and I bee offs!Any Advantage you get from this?

We does not need a Tin Pot! End of!
1) gbf came round to see son but son had overslept so not due in till 4:30. I'd already walked the dogs so we went to the botanics (dogs not allowed). Raining when we arrived so we visited the hot and temperate houses - there is a cactus they thoughts was one type but it is now flowering so it is another type. if one is into cacti this is very exciting. my friend is going in each day to photograph the emerging flower.
2) by which time it had stopped raining so we went for a glorious walk and saw either 1 red squirrel four times or 2 red squirrels twice each (we think the latter but could be the former)
3) then a pot of tea for two and some cake
4) boy arrived home so we joined him then mum arrived. very sweet kitten. son went out with friends and i cat-sat
5) mum and gbf stayed for supper then i watched the cricket highlights while kitten zoomed around, alarming the spanielsMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures so far today...
Feeling more normal today after having had a couple of days under the weather.
Lovely walk in fine drizzly rain with dog.
Picked blackberries and masses of elderberries, beautifully ripe.
Free range chicken with roasted veg and yorkies, followed by homemade strawberry cheesecake.
Started learning Bollywood dancing online, in a bid to get fit. Hard on the knees but fun and uplifting. I reckon ten minutes a day to begin with, increasing slowly.
Phone call with stepson, they're coming to visit first weekend in October, first time I will have seen them since January.
Sunshine this afternoon, makes everything look good. One life - your life - live it!13 -
