Pleasures for today (Monday).
BoP would not have appreciated how my day went...
1) A bit of a lie in.
2) Bigger son off all pain killers.
3) Had a good tidy, weeded and swept up outside etc.
4) Went to look for bags of muck (none today) and fed the chickens. Gave courgettes to uphill neighbour.
5) Put eggs out on my little "stall" and across the village neighbour bought some immediately! She was talking to me about which charity shops had reopened (not all locally) and when I said I had a bag of stuff to go, she took it for me! I sold 3 x 6 eggs today (which is all I had spare).
6) Took my brother's dog for a walk (with my brother) then said hello to mum and dad. I can't go in their house again, because of bigger son mixing with possibly ill people during his ambulance ride and night in A and E.
7) Posted Ebay sale. Quidco have £20 waiting for me.
8) Bigger son and I went to see if we could spot the kingfishers again. We couldn't, but had a quick walk along the river bank.
9) Pasta for tea.
10) Just hanging around until I can collect bigger son from the local pub. He is there with his friends as they have extended the 50% off scheme.
And, the BoP bit!
I have phoned and emailed the County Council and smaller son's solicitor near constantly, particularly from about June onwards. No word, no help, no sense.
Today, I received another email from the MPs secretary, who is the only person who has ever emailed me or phoned me to ask what is going on.
Then I received a very apologetic phone call from the solicitor (with a follow up email of apology from her boss). 2 people thought that the other person had sent the documentation forward for smaller son's legal aid. In reality, neither had sent it. So he has not had a solicitor at all. Hence why no one got in touch to help.
THEN (brace yourself) I received a phone call from County asking me to attend a Zoom meeting on Thursday afternoon. I said yes. And she said........ "Is it a convenient time for PICKING YOUR SON UP FROM SCHOOL?" From school?!?!?!?!? That place he has not been to for 20 months! I did say something rather sarcastic in reply.

Good morning
Pleasures 1 to forever
DH had his operation yesterday and all went well. He's back home and sleeping himself better. It was keyhole day surgery and apparently the first day our hospital had done any waiting list surgery since March. I knew really it would be fine, but with the general heightened state of anxiety everywhere, it wasn't easy for him to decide to go ahead.
Anyway, it's done now. He had a bad time last year with lots of very painful and debilitating attacks ( gall stones) so it's good to know that can't happen again.
A few days of TLC and then onward and upward.
Ampersand - not gloating or anything ( am really) but we have had masses of red tomatoes! Grown outside and about 100 miles North of you!! More down to good luck than good management though.
Gosh Frith. Your LEA are really not helping, are they. Of course, the longer it goes on, the bigger the problem is. You would think there would be some viable alternative to cater for pupils with problems.
Happy Tuesday everyone ( it already is happy here )

For yesterday,
Hard as we were a sad little household after hearing about loss of an elderly relative, pleasure was she lived a long & happy life.
Made myself busy, deep cleaned kitchen and rearranged cupboards, pleased with results.
Saw equine girlie, she had been a flirty floosie, breaking through tape fencing in an attempt to get to the object of her desire, as always yard owner proactive in resolving.
Picked up eggs from farm stall, also a cauliflower to make a cheese for tea.
Tested little grey cells with Uni Challenge and then read my book until bedtime, lamps on now before 8pm.12 -
