hoping hope he is feeling better this morning ( doubt it as bruises and shock will be coming out more today )
good luck if he manages this afternoon10 -
Frith, what a lucky escape for your son, it could have been so much worse. I was going to suggest he postponed his theory test but if he's home and more like his normal self then he should go for it. I hope the dentists can get him in to check him over, even if they might not be able to fix things. They will at least sort out things like bits of jagged tooth left behind which might cut into the tissues of the mouth. He will no doubt be very stiff and achey and sorry for himself today, chuck him in a nice warm bath with some Epsom salts. One life - your life - live it!11

Hope son is OK, Frith
Sorry for your furry loss, PK
Pleasures for yesterday
1. did some yoga
2. Went walking in some hills - lovely warm sunshine
3. Yummy tuna salad for lunch
4. an unexpected phone call from my biggest brother. He estranged himself from the family many years ago and for some years i have given him my contact details in the hope he'd get in touch. We spoke for 2 hours and it was lovely - if somewhat overwhelming.
5. Banked.
Have a great afternoon / evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -

For yesterday
1) a beautiful September morning, that lovely freshness to the air
2) a friend spotting a red squirrel and posting a picture on facebook
3) going for a walk with dd2 and the dogs
4) seeing a grey squirrel running along the top of my wall
5) lovely evening walk with the dogs, catching up with my dad. He has found some old photographs of me and him with a 'hen and chickens' which his dad built in 1930 as a replica of a bike used by the postal service in the 1880s (aw shucks won't let me post)

Wow Frith, So glad he's home, but strongly suspect it will be starting to hit home. Glad he's in the right place.

Great to catch up with your big brother at last, Vj's mum.
Glad he's back home Frith. Hope the teeth are on the way to being sorted.
Had a couple of hospital days. OH had to go for a pre op assessment yesterday. Once we'd negotiated the ridiculous traffic in our village( a15 min journey took 35 mins) it all went smoothly and I even found a parking space while he went in for his MOT. The nurse said everything was ok so we went to our favourite fish and chip restaurant to celebrate. You'd like it, BOP. They use beef dripping.
Then this morning a phone call. They need more blood tests! Off we went again! This time parking was impossible. I circled for about 10 mins then gave up and parked in a doctor's space, figuring if he turned up I'd quickly move out. The doctor didn't appear before OH did, so that was ok.
Just the coronavirus test to go and that's not til Friday so we get a day off tomorrow - unless there's another phone call.
Happy evening everyone10 -

Bala - never give up hope. Turns out my brother is an absolute technophobe and bordering on hermit. He has no computer, no mobile phone and doesn't like using the real phone or writing letters. His wife kind of fooled him into speaking but once started i couldn't shut him up
It makes me very happyI wanna be in the room where it happens10
