well done on the fleabay sales frith, so sorry to hear about your friend's mum
Glad to hear OH is comfortable SS big hugs
dfv QI is one of my very favourite things on tv - love Sandy's sense of humour
mhags mrpiano came for 2 months and now he is gone I too am noticing feeling content - not mean at all.
1) solid meetings 10 - 2 but last one only lasted 30 minutes so got lunch at 1:30 - summer lentil soup followed by coleslaw with some seeds and raisins
2) then a walk with the dogs - i'm working hard at not being chained to my computer all day
3) after work went round to mum's to help her eat the mussels in white wine i'd bought at mr l yesterday
4) am also working my way through 20 cheeses and this week's is provolone piccante, again from mr l, so took some of that round as well
5) catching up on proms - first the vaughan williams while i was doing emails (love RVW) and now the organ prom https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p08n8ns0/bbc-proms-2020-the-symphonic-organ the sorcerer's apprentice was even more menacing than the orchestrated version and i have learnt a new phrase 'thumbing down'MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Bit of a lie in.
2) Bigger son returned from 2 days climbing in the Peak District with his school friends.
3) Hens OK.
4) We set up a little stall (i.e a stool!) on the roadside and sold 2 lots of half a dozen eggs. We had accumulated over 20.
5) Wrapped up and labelled more Ebay sales.
6) Bigger son wanted to practise in his new car so we went to Lidl.
7) Tasty tea of BBQ pork ribs with lentils and roast carrots, courgette and tomatoes. Then strawberries and cream.
8) Dropped some clothes off for my sister's new job.10 -
For yesterday,
Hanging the washing out and feeling the sun on my face, very welcome.
Saw my girlie and we had a little mooch around the fields, the flies are a pain this time of year and I had thought to spray my girl but not myself.
Had a chat with the grower at the farm stall where I get my potatoes, she said that she can’t keep up with demand at the moment as it seems everyone wants homegrown.
Tasty tea of Pork Dijon with veg.
Candle meditation and sending positive thoughts out into the ether, only other light was the big old moon shining in through the window,10 -

Morning all - rudely awoken by the carbon monoxide alarm going off at 5.30! At least it did its job and we know to better ventilate the room with the fire in.
Mhags and DD - not selfish to enjoy the calm and quiet!
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Washing hung out and almost dried on the line
2. Sorting out my car camper for our trip later in the week - seems quite a lot of effort for 2 / 3 nights but it's a learning exercise.
3. Bought some new waterproofs for the above trip and also our narrow boat holiday next week.
4. Lit the new woodburner (hence the rude awakening)
5. Cleaned DS's room while he was at work - i'll probably get into trouble for doing it but it's my house and i'm entitled to clean it if he won't (so there!).
Have a great day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Recent pleasures:
First proper walk for nearly 2 weeks, it was either too hot or too wet 🤣
Cool but bright, lovely. The swan 🦢 family are growing up quickly.
Sister, niece and great niece round for BH roast beef, homegrown by ex husband. Delicious. Also invited 2 older friends who would otherwise have been on their own.
Nieces dancing and laughing to the Macarena 😊
Sister made a chocolate roulade. So we had three desserts! The roulade, my homemade apple 🍏 sponge and millionaires cheesecake - pud overload but shared and taken home by friends 😊
Generally a really lovely day, felt almost like old times 😊12 -
Over Inn ...
Well not style, but again too much talk. 200 years since the vagrancy act to remove Napoleonic Soldiers off the streets, still we see a record! Not one to be envious of?Now with BoP News!
Was at the Docks earlier to run me rig, then home top do the calibration reports, so has me weat biscuit this morning inn ice cold whole milk, fresh orange juice from the concentrate and a mug of tea. Dumped BoPsie at her Salt Mine!
Now trying to so me reports and Kitty has decided it is playtime! Still, I has me finger wafer and tea as well! Special today, too rolls. One with snorker and one covered in chocolate! Nice and usual lunch!
Tonight we has the chilli pasta! in hot tom sauce with bins of kidney. Proper foods! Please be aware that there is some carp about soups and shakes. Ignore. Not proper foods!

1 The sun reared its head and 2 loads of washing therefore got hung out.
2 Grilled chicken, coleslaw and “ bessies” roasties.
3 Online chatting with a couple of friends we would normally be meeting with around about now.
4 Took various food out of the freezer for food planning.
5 I did a bit of weeding, both as the garden needed it and the fuzzies enjoy “assisting”.
Our little ferret passed away in our arms a few days ago it was expected, but honestly he was such a vast character it leaves quite a gap, he was a rescue who lived up a storm all the while he was here, with his brother who passed away just 2 weeks ago, together again.

Hello. It’s been a good day. I went as far as the supermarket for essentials and that was it.mainly dry with a couple of showers but almost caught up on all the bedding that needed washed. Heating on for a wee while to finish drying.Downstairs is tidy. Bathrooms are clean . Upstairs hoovered, downstairs swept and will get hoovered tomorrow. My bedroom is tidy ( been a dumping ground last few days as stuff got moved around)
slept right through, first in weeks.DD1 arrived at her destination.DD2 has started a new job and enjoying so far .Friend popped by and gave me something I love but not quite sure where I shall put it just yet. May have to move things around. Nice of her to think of me.DD1 powerwashed the patio on Saturday and the doors were left splattered so I washed them this afternoon. Can see out them again ( and see the clean patio!)
All done with a hobble and a hop,so I’m going to take my foot ( well both of them) and give it a rest!Hugs PK13 -
VJsmum - had to sing "Parklife" at the end of your opening sentence!
Pleasures for today (Tuesday, confusingly).
1) A lie in.
2) We had read up about Corsa dashboard warning lights and how to find the error code. Bigger son managed to work out which sensor he needed to replace, buy one and replace it himself - for £17! The car no longer has a warning light, starts easier, doesn't cut out when you stop at a junction and the rev counter works!
3) Hens OK. Very chatty today and they thought about flying up to perch on my knee.
4) Went to town to post the Ebay parcels and got 6 sacks of muck from the farm on the way home.
5) Bigger son took me for a drive in the mended car and we had a cup of tea outside our nearest cafe.
6) Had a sudden rush of enthusiasm so weeded and pruned the entire garden plus the roadside strip, cleaned the windows, cleaned the stairs, cleaned the bathroom and made the tea!
7) Did some admin after tea including shifting money around.
No word from the County Council so we tomorrow go officially into the second year that smaller son has had no education whatsoever... nothing from his solicitor either. I hope she doesn't get paid for the nothingness that she has done.
Bigger son has his driving theory test tomorrow!11
