Happycas I hate celery too – tastes like sweaty socks (not that I’ve tried sweaty socks btw)
Bop no no cottage cheese here. Welcome to !!!!!! hot paws
Been an emotional week, First Wednesday
1) after work mum picked me up to go to the cathedral where my dear friend's coffin had been welcomed in 30 minutes before
2) I welcomed those who wanted to say a prayer, say goodbye, light a candle - was rather beautiful
3) thought about getting the bus home but decided the walk would be nice. Then decided to have a drink to my friend in my fave pub. As i hadn't booked i was at a table for 1 near some 'characters'. Like a rather drunk last of the summer wine. They all tried to chat me up so didn't get much book read. Then a nice chat with a couple of lads up from Leeds
4) felt time to go but saw he who didn't want coffee and another footie fanatic in the other side so asked barman if i could transfer over. it's all very stressful. was put on a table for 2 next to them. At which point another friend arrived so he joined me and we had a merry time until
5) midnight happy birthday to me
he who didn't want coffee said he wouldn't ask how many years - i replied 57, i love birthdays, and am very happy to be 57. then walked home with he who didn't want coffee - turns out he is also a lover of playing clementi.
And Thursday
1) the funeral. i was chief sidesperson - indeed only sidesperson as we are restricted to 20 for a funeral. Otherwise the cathedral would have been packed
2) our previous provost and his wife had come up which was lovely. The funeral director kept asking me 'where are we now' 'they're running late'. Well honestly who thought a piscie mass with a bishop and 3 priests would only take 30 minutes?! 75 minutes (when they should have been at the crem) we were done and personally i think that was good going!
3) took the bus back home and dm and dd2 and i went to the garden centre as absolutely tipping it
4) tea with scones, jam and cream yum
5) then back to mum's for fish supper.
Friday was work then online drink with friends and today has been piano, reading, washing, then gbf came round and, after walking the dogs, we picked dd2 up from town and drove to Authmithie for a belated birthday lunch at the Butnben and a bracing walk along the cliff path. And now i've just finished watching Brideshead Revisited. Lovely.

BOP, CongratulationsLainey, I hope you feel better soon.
1 Food is all meal planned today, porridge, prawn cocktail and hm lasagne.
2 I dug down to the spare room bed and took off the bedding that has been on there for longer than I care to write down to wash it and put it back on if I can ever get it dry.
3 I’m treating DH to a slice of pizza as he’s really down so just hoping a bit of comfort in general helps.
4 Did a full clean out of the animal run an epic job.
5The heating came one for a while, yikes.

Welcome little one, what a pretty cat you are.
For yesterday,
Stomach still feeling a tad churny but nothing untoward happened and toast for breakfast.
Saw my girlie, didn’t ride but pampered and grazed in hand, at one point heard a very loud crack and then a tree disappeared from skyline! It made all the horses fly around their paddocks and girlie circled me quick, tree surgeons at work again.
Home, made a loaf and changed the bed.
Then DSIL and partner dropped in for a cuppa, good to catch up and hear that youngest niece has a new job.
Very cold, bit different to last year when we had temps of 30plus, jacket pots went in oven and wool throws added to sofa hoping that would provoke a last hurrah of summer.12 -
Hope you are OK, DD.
Pleasures for yesterday (Saturday)
1) A lie in.
2) House quite clean and tidy.
3) Hens OK.
4) Bigger son bought himself a car! £400 Corsa and we drove to my parents' then to my sister's so he could introduce them.
5) Bigger son drove the new car to the nearest town and smaller son sat in the back - he has never let bigger son drive him anywhere before so that was exciting. There was a muffled "Good Lord!" from the back at one point! It was worth it to watch a 6 foot 2 teenager concertina himself up to get into the back seat of a 3 door car.
6) Watched old episodes of Grand Designs.
7) Bigger son went to the Peak District camping with his friends.12 -
She's a rite M'dam!
Snake behind the dipper! Now for more of the BoP!
She is a rite madam! She is so differing to Raffles, but she knows she is cool. And she knows it. She has found Raffles bone yard, where he kept his road kills. And his willow tunnel! Here is her thirst photo!
Watched our new cat yesterday! She is cool! This morning she has the doors opened and inn the yard. She came out with her tail all bushed about, and soon had the run. Willow was inspected and the shed was given a once over. All is approved. She is now working on Raffles job, giving it max hot for the whether! She has aten her food and actually drunk from the water bowl.No cat of ours has done that inn years! Raffles flatly refused too do so!
BoPsie cannot contain herself. She got a new cushion for her, and she cleaned up for her. Her tray of litter is in use.
Apart from that, we had cheeses, nuts and wobbleades last evening, as well as BBQ buzzard wings, again Cooked for 36 minutes!. Too snorkers were also cooked. Nice!
This morning BoPsie was up, and up all nite as kitty was using her echo sounded meows to keep her happy! She cannot watch her q skies at the moment as the box is not working rite. Replacement will be here inn the morrow!
That is all, I has kitty to fuss! You not own the cat, they own you!

She's beautiful, BOP, and clearly already in charge.
D Doll - I have a trough with herbs in the garden and something ( rabbit? hedgehog?) has eaten the coriander right down to the ground. I don't mind cos I wasn't going to use it anyway, but it's strange nothing else was eaten.
A year ago today DS and DDIL got married in the most glorious weather imaginable. So lucky it was last year and not this, in so many ways.
Yesterday was wasted as I had a hangover. I know, no sympathy, self inflicted, old enough to know better, etc! But we'd had a good night chatting with a friend. Time flew by and suddenly it was 2am! Oh well, a chance to be foolish was needed after the last few months!
Today I am recovered and raring to go. Had a trip to our favourite garden centre for coffee, tho I didn't have any cake!. Bought some nice plants and when putting them in the garden, saw a baby hedgehog!! So excited. A friend had bought us some hedgehog food from the National Trust after I told her about the bigger hedgehog making a nest. I put some out in a jam jar lid but baby tiggywinkle just sniffed at it and went back to snuffling about for beetles!
Right, better get on and do all the things I didn't do yesterday.
Happy Sunday everyone.13 -

Back to work today ( and first weeks full pay since lockdown started) mostly a good shift that went past quick enough and decent tips all things considered ( not madly busy but twice as much as last week) . Back tomorrow, that’s me back to doing two full days again.Beautiful though brief sunrise.
Doggy snuggles before work.Dry all day.
The occasional chatter from the kitchen door!Home. The swapping of the beds taking place. New bed coming tomorrow ( the day DD1 leaves was supposed to be for her to sleep on but there’s always Christmas! ) so DD2 taking the new bed as it has better storage and her almost new (8months) bed going into DD1 room! So it’s been a work in progress last hour...I’m holed up in my room trapped by the air bed! Which will go in DD2 room tonight for DD1 to sleep on and DD2 a will be on her current bed in DD1 room...confused? Yep!I shall gain a living room again tomorrow as guest also leaving, I shall enjoy getting back to a bit more normality! And making things a bit more cosy as autumn approaches.DD1 making macaroni for tea,10
