So, I have asked OH not to keep buying Tiggy treats made out of rubbish as they affect her eyes. Since I banned the use of them there is no more gunk or tearing. Funny how very few vets see the correlation of what we feed them and the resulting havoc.
I have a new bird/crow. Noticed how it's the only one that doesn't scatter when I go out with more food. Flo was like this. I could even chatter to her. This one has white splodge on it's right wing. It has been named !
Have discovered the name of a plant that I have been drooling over. Belongs to someone in the street and this morning I managed to collar him. He's a waving at neighbour and is really nice. Anyway, I thought it was part of the gladioli family but it's part of the lily genus. It's Canna and it's so luscious. So do I do the MSE thing, grow it from seed and wait 2 years for it to flower........or do I splurge ...............................
Have a bountiful day............

Just has mes elevenses, proper tea, with the pyramid bag, proper whole milk, not that homogenised carp, with a chocolate covered biscuit. As BoPsie could not let the chuck wagon go without a visit at the Salt Mine, I did a snorker as well. A single snorker at that. Nice and a treat. Done in the frying pan with a small bit of Lard!
Watched the flix last nite, Kevin Hart was in the football stadium at the dome from the millennia. Too many, too crowded, as I has bin inn The Met and Radio City, not intimate for a show! Good, but prefer the Colin Quinn!
Good the cricket and Jimmy got his wicket! Bit late inn the day, but he could go on and on. Now waiting for the CPL to start after me lunch!
Usual lunch again, with ham, I knows, I had a snorker, toms and bits. Water will be drinked.
Getting ready for the blank holiday, well after the light rain yesterday!
Every other one is too large! Oh well, as usual, BoP ends his words of faction!
There, you did not need to know that!

1) A lie in,
2) Bigger son had his 3rd driving lesson and is now ready to put in for his test. I don't know what the backlog is like. His theory test is next week.

4) Hens OK and I cleaned the "downstairs" of their house out. They have decided they are not going to mess upstairs.
5) Changed the bunkbeds and did 2 loads of washing.
6) Gave 6 eggs to downhill neighbour, as we had about 20.
7) Tasty tea of Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.
8) I cleaned bigger son's shoes ready for his interview tomorrow.11 -
1 A full grilled brekkie as I had LO sausages I heated them up in the beans, grilled the toms and bacon, poached the eggs and it was good.
2 Had to pop out as we need to get FILs birthday pressie for well er tomorrow, we know what we want and where has it but it depends on the bridge being open from the wing
3 Gave thought to FILs 91st birthday present he has his favourite tipple, it’s also mine and some cave aged mature cheese, all his favourites.
4 Catching up with friend online who we would normally be meeting with around now.

Hello. Late to bed by my standards, have been chatting downstairs.Friend picked up picture so chatted for ages outside. Was a rainy start to day but brightened up nicely.Went into town as had to get a couple of things for the mother. Parked at supermarket so didn’t have to pay for parking but did have to walk back uphill in the heat with a sore foot. Two tonnes of logs delivered. Son ( mainly) and DD1 ( till she got fed up) put them away. I claimed a sore foot and a finger as a good excuse! However I was inside hoovering and moving furniture! So in place where sideboard was is my big wooden chest, it’s replaced by a console table from extension, it’s replaced by the console table with drawers from my bedroom , which will be replaced by the dressing table that’s in DD1 room tomorrow. Then DD2 bed going in there and she’s claimed the new one arriving on Monday! New to me lanterns are now on top of console table in dining area! And it all looks lovely.DD1 finally put her camping gear away in garage and we took the borrowed from her godfather stuff back down then continued walking, met friends and had a lovely chat with them as the sun was setting over the hills.DD1 made tofu curry. It was okay apart from the tofu. Made with my potatoes, courgettes, spring onions and carrots that I had brought home from allotment. Then guest who’s been out most of day came home and we’ve just been chatting.12

Yep, it's becoming a habit. No fox food put out. Message left for me.
Made a scrumptious bacon and potato salad last night. Once again my brother asked if we could have it every day. Will make it again this evening. We all enjoy it.
Finally got OH to call someone in regarding our very blocked drain. I have tried everything. Someone coming this morning.
Used an MSE thingy to buy my BIL a case of beer. The ones that are all different/specialist. He is not a big drinker but he does enjoy a good glass of wine or a fine bottle of beer now and again. It's so difficult to buy for him because he is one of these people that hates clutter so never wants anything. He prefers experiences. He is also a man I admire greatly. He has the kindest heart. I hope he likes the surprise.
Today I hope to de-clutter. The house needs it. The garden has benefited from my endeavours and looks much better. Such a satisfying feeling. My hip is not so happy but it will get over it.
I will apologise for my awful spelling.
Hugs to all

For yesterday,
Bacon and scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, knew I wouldn’t be around for lunch so needed something to fill me up.
Out to the pet store as small dog has all of a sudden taken a dislike to one of her foods, met the most adorable GS puppy, it was on an extendable lead and the owner gave me the go ahead for cuddles, all that fluff and size of those paws!
Into Uni City for a haircut, remembered to pop into bank to change up a twenty into change to keep in the car for those impromptu stops at farm stalls for produce.
Head felt much lighter without overgrown mop.
Friends, online and in person, they are a real pleasure aren’t they.

Lainey, have to respond.
Finding you all here everyday is such a great pleasure. Friends indeed. There's encouragement, empathy, kindness, rejoicing in success, shoulders to lean on.
Then there's fabulous meals cooked, savings made, the growing of things even if it takes muttering at them. Sorry D4V.....tee-hee.
Laughter.
And finally, dogs and cats. Horses, hens and ferrets. Who knew ferrets could be so cuddly. Thank you PK. And Frith. Hens are on my mind.
Thank you Lainey for reminding me.

Morning friends
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A morning pottering around the kitchen and no reason to feel guilty - my favourite kind of morning. 5 portions of french onion soup made and a jar of aubergine (brinjal) pickle. A squash peeled chopped and frozen and no food left to go off now.
2. A trip to Aldi to stock up on some stuff.
3. Yoga - a nice gentle session to ease me back into it.
4. Steak for tea - i always feel healthier after eating steak.
5. Another evening in front the telly - long lost family. A repeat but usually such a joyful programme.
Off to ICT today - first time by train since Feb!
I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
Good afternoon
Bit grey here!
Not much to report. Getting very ' same old, same old ' feeling again, but some excitement coming up. Going to a local posh Chinese restaurant with DD and partner tonight. Both had their birthdays during lockdown, so this is a belated treat. We have had a list of instructions as long as your arm to adhere to, but really it's all just common sense. I suppose if they've written it all down, they've covered themselves.
I am now in a quandary about what to wear. It's so long since I've been out anywhere (DH was ill last year, had an op and then lock down came along) and it's definitely not a place for the sort of housework/gardening clothes I've lived in recently. Still,it's a nice problem to have. I've even done my nails!
Made a lemon drizzle cake. Think it's my favourite cake, and so easy to make - and even easier to eat! Then I won't fit in any of my dressy up clothes!
Happy grey day everyone
