Morning all - definitely on the mend but very weak. Kind of feel pathetic to be so but that's how it goes.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Up and dressed in proper clothes for the first time in nearly a week. Been in either pyjamas or leggings and t shirt previously
2. Finished Funny Girl - it was OK, kind of meh. One big song is all.
3. My dinner - which was the same as the night before but slightly bigger - fried haddock, carrot and potato mash. Never has such simple food been so relished.
4. I walked outside! (three weeks ago i walked 32 miles in 2 days.)
5. i did the washing up - the only time this will be a pleasurebut OH has been running round doing everything and i thought this was a small contribution.
Have a good day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Dfv - love the baubles on the non-Christmas bags idea. As always am intrigued by the logistics of your amazing posts. It takes me all my time to remember what I did yesterday, and bits from other people's posts. You must take prodigious notes!
I do remember I made curry yesterday. Prawn curry with lots of bitsas, inc tomatoes of course.
A weekend spent at home. Becoming the norm now, but at least we managed to sit outside between showers
Lovely plum crumble for tea. Why do plums always boil over? Had stood dish on a baking tray tho so not a huge disaster. I know what plums are like! Perhaps I put too many in!
Happy Sunday everyone10 -
Hello. A day at work ...normally I would say see ya next week! However had to say see ya tomorrow ( and the next day) have not worked three days in a row in a while!Very brief walk with doggy this morning just long enough till he did his business! Watched a robin on top of the eaves of the porch. Hello robin.
work was fine. But busier again this week. A whole £1.40 in tips! Woop! But better than nowt!
DD2 face timed from one of my very favourite places in the whole wide world . A place that was very special to OH and I.Home and surprised guest ( as in terrified) didn’t realise as I came in she had ear buds in so couldn’t hear me. Then realised so walked up to her expecting that she would at least sense me coming . No! She just about collapsed instead!Had a nice chat with one of my very spry customers who’s 83.DFV we often ‘boo’ each other as in most days! However the dogs not so good and often gives the boo-Er away!11 -
Happycas - it's All in the technology. The OS pleasures are jotted down on my phone pretty much as they happen (the chaps are learning to flinch as I record every word). Then when I realise it's got absolutely out of hand, I go through the pages of posts I've missed and assemble the top bit in notepad, person by person. I do also read in between times for the comfort & the boost to morale, but when I twig I have left it Far To Long (again) I try to include everyone..
Picking 5 good bits a day would be so much civilised, but I am not self disciplined enough to remember to <blush> hence the tech.
Glad you like the bags idea - after we ran out of reusables when shopping Again, I policed up a dozen of the big reusable rectangular footprint bags, flattened & folded them all & stashed them under the back seat. Now I can police up a wad, shop &, if I have to, send a son with a carkey to fetch more bags... (They come in, they are lugged to various rooms for unloading & they do not all make it back into the hall, let alone the car. My logistics talent is largely confined to noughts and ones!)12 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Hens well.
3) Bigger son went out with his friends to do some filming. A hiatus while he recovered from the top of a fence going through his shoe and 2cm into his foot (don't ask). Then back to his friends where he is at a barbeque.
4) Made a stuffed marrow for tea.
5) Long phone call with my school friend.
6) Caught the end of the Mortimer and Whitehouse fishing programme and will watch it in its entirety just now.11 -
For yesterday,
Bit of a rough night so gave up and came downstairs early, I did compare and switch our electricity supplier, saving us £70 a year into the bargain so a productive start.
Busy morning doing bits and pieces in the garden, weeding, planting and generally having a tidy up. Made a pie for lunch and popped the last of the strawbs into a jelly.
A new to me Icelandic author, pulled me in from first page which is always a good sign. Do like a Scandi crime story.
Finished Line of Duty, series 2, I’m very late to that particular party but enjoying it immensely.
Cooler night so the pleasure of snuggling down under sheet & blankets.

Sue, it's so good to hear from you. I don't express myself very well so I'll just say that you are in my thoughts and am sending you huge hug.

Dfv. I was in awe of your posts before, but am even more so now. So organised!!
re shopping bags. We put emptied ones in the doorway, in the hope that whoever trips over them on their way out takes them to the car.
SSue . So good to hear from you, even though the news is not good. It is so, so hard. As always, love and hugs sent regularly through the ether.
Today
A lovely sunny day, though storms forecast for tomorrow, so am sitting outside, making the most of it.
Yoga this morning seemed more difficult. The clock on the wall has stopped and I can't decide if it's better or worse not knowing how long there is left!
Coffee and cake with my friend at the garden centre afterwards. It was packed! Rishi has a lot to answer for! ( But seriously it's good to be getting back to something like normal again)
Can't finish my knitted teddy because I've no black wool to do eyes, nose, mouth. Will have to wait a while.
Happy 🌞 teatime everyone
