Hugs sue
Happycas - i always like to know how long there is left!
PLeasures for yesterday
1. Much better, had a bath with my completely nonsensical, raunchy, ridiculous Jilly Cooper book. And I'm not even sorry
2. The lounge with the new woodburner is finished! Looks luvverly
3. We had a mini fire! You have to start with small fires anyway so we christened it.
4. Salmon for tea - a change from haddock
5. Walked to the shop with OH - the first time i'd been out of the house for a week!
Have a good evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
Sue you can just do what you can do. And just cherish the time left. And lean on those around you to help and lean on us here.Been a beautiful day here, the sky was so blue. However I was at work all day. ( I know I sound pathetic...it’s normal to work more than one day a week!)
Had an industrious start prior to going out ; short doggy walk as that’s all I can manage, two loads of washing out, kitchen tidy and floors all swept! ( yeah remember that Mhags...it was briefly tidy)Work was fine, busy at times ( half price lunches!) and passed by quicker at some times than others ( felt like it was 11.10am for ages then all of a sudden it was 4pm.
came home and the girls were back and in my driveway space! I was not impressed! We only have room for two cars so someone has to park out front. House a tip as they emptied the contents of their camping trip in side. I’m all open plan...you cannot hide! Lovely to see you but it had better all be away tomorrow! Then went out to pick up a new to me mirror ( for my en-suite ) , a set of two lanterns ( with fake candles that are actually quite nice once I’d sourced 9 new batteries! ) and a picture that I don’t know if I like enough to keep. Was part of a bundle that someone was selling. Canvas by a popular Scottish artist but soooo many people have them. Shall see. ‘Can I come around six ?’ Yes. Three minutes to six...a text asking how long I was going to be? Erm, about five minutes as we are stuck at roadworks! Arrived at two minutes past so hardly an hour late! Anyway I was mainly after the mirror .Chatter with girls and guest...having asked DD1 how long she was staying for as DD1 leaves in a week! Hmmmm not too sure. Please find out. Living room back to being used as a bedroom. Anyway just as well she’s nice! It’s just turned 9pm and almost dark.More workety work tomorrow! I’ve my list written of things to do in the morning!11 -
Thinking of you, SuffolkSue.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Bigger son stayed overnight at a friend's so I had a proper lie in!
2) Hens well.
3) County Council had decided to inform the NEET team that smaller son is not at school. NEET were quite surprised to hear that smaller son is not at school purely because it has taken the County Council 12 months to do nothing at all. So a lengthy and quite nice chat with Mrs NEET who soon became aware that smaller son can't just pop out and get a job, or work experience or anything else.
4) I emailed the County Council AGAIN and they said they will get in touch with the college he might be going to (why only now?!?!?!)
5) Went to pick bigger son up from his friend's (the hole he has in the sole of his foot stops him walking or cycling very far). I then popped to get the socks that I always get for brother in law's birthday (it's a custom now).
6) Duck pancakes for tea with fried rice.
7) Got in touch with Nectar as my Click and Collect orders had not accumulated any Nectar points and they immediately put 600 on, which will be £3 towards my Christmas shopping.
8) Babysat my little niece, who is very funny.11 -
Good to hear from you SuffolkSue, hugs.
For yesterday,
A warm breezy day so four loads washed & dried on the line.
Went to the farm shop for eggs & veg, the queue for the cafe was very long but actual shop very quiet.
My clever cookie of a pony picking something new up so quickly, one of the best pieces of advice I ever received was never to dumb down your horse, how true.
The sparrow squadron sitting on top of the hedge waiting for me to fill up the feeders.
Easy evening meal of bottom of the fridge frittata.
