Pleasures yesterday....
A lie in - just because I had no reason to get up early.
Vacuuming the house and seeing how much better it looked afterwards. The trouble with having a gorgeous Border Collie is all the hair she sheds everywhere.
Surprise present in the post from Dad and stepmum. They saw this beautiful pendant in a magazine and thought I would like it, so got it for me. It's silver with gold decoration on the front, heart shaped, the staff of the healer on the front with a tiny diamond, and the serenity prayer on the back.
Productive work in the garden, pruning bushes that had gone a bit feral. Garden bin gets emptied tomorrrow so I needed to fill it up.
Homemade cheesecake for dessert lunchtime.
Taxing my brain by online learning sign language to a popular song.
Homemade bread at teatime with butter, pate and jam. Not all on the same slice, of course, and it was actually conserve, a superior version of jam, daahhlings.
Watching the first episode of the new series of Rita on Netflix, followed by some songs on YouTube from Eurovision Song Contests in previous years.
Bedtime reading with cats snuggled close by.One life - your life - live it!15 -
Yesterday
A grey day but another load of holiday washing dried. Some ironing too but didn't want to overdo things so left some for later!
Managed to book next two yoga sessions. With fewer spaces, you snooze, you lose!
Made a lovely bitsa curry, inc tomatoes of course.
More gardening. It's amazing how much weeds can grow in just one week.
Rain today, so washing and gardening postponed. The plants are very grateful tho.
Happy wet Sunday everyone14 -
Morning all - just a quick catch up from ICT before cleaning, packing and leaving.
Pleasures for last few
1. Bike ride and blackberry picking - made a crumble
2. Long walk with OH and DS - DS wore the wrong shoes and his hips were hurting. His aged parents, however, were fine
3. BBQ here with friends - the first time we've held one here and it went well despite that the garden is teeny
4. Logging yesterday - and collected more to take home. Our fire should be being installed soon.
5. The Red Arrows were supposed to be flying along Cardigan Bay but bad weather stopped play - the pleasure is that i did a circuit.
6. Came home and did a yoga session - wasn't particularly planning to so it was a bonus.
7. Paella at friends' garden. I drove so did not drink - the first 'dry' night for weeks.
Have a good day all - setting off soon.I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
Raise the Seat!
Steaming!
Dippy eggs, pizzas, big cockerels, Fidget Pie? No! Bitsa Curry! Proper foods!
Now with Dollops of BoP!
Got the none bits inn from the w8rs, as we has voucher for the paper and the card. Makes it £6 off the shop, so worth it. Special weakened cheese was purchased as well.
Last nite court up with the uni quiz. Then watched an old flix that was dastardly! Nigel Bruce and Basil Rathbone. Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror. Cheeses, nuts and wobbleades were consumed! We had nuggets of buzzard and bitsa salsa.
Right, now needs to do me lunch on SunDae, veg soup and proper bread and butter. Good food, later will be pork, stuffing, tatties and veg, with some pan gravy! Then a Spotted Richard, with ginger and cocoa. Mixed with orange and should be rite tasty, hence later BoP shall be steaming. He is actually steaming now because of the winkers at the cricket. At least it will be a draw! Late elevenses of nut of ginger and tea is being had! Carp! Also the custard of lumps will be poured as well! Remember BoP is good at making lumpy custard!
Oh short I now!
How have we gone from evolving to ...

Also brother of friend who died was at service and came for coffee after (coffee shop cos we can't do coffee any more at church). he was lovely but omg sooooo sad. and administrator from another church died from massive heart attack aged 38 !!!!!!. sorry that's not an mse happy. but the coffee and chat was lovely

Quick pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son worked on his YouTube film, shot last night.
3) Hens OK.
4) Managed to nearly get a load of washing dry on the line; also changed both bunkbeds.
5) Weeded all along the path and swept up.
6) Courgette quiche for lunch then bigger son made a curry for tea.
7) Very much enjoyed the 20 year Derren Brown programme, then watched both episodes of Apocalypse.12 -
1. DH had booked for us to see Chartwell - the gardens at least. It's a while since we have been and I was impressed. A couple of lovely places to sit and the views were excellent.
2. Stopped at a garden centre and decided in the shrubs we needed as a divider between us and the neighbours we dislike. Signed up for free loyalty card and got 5% off too and the prices were reasonable in any case.
3. Think said neighbour are now on holiday. Mages a better atmosphere
4. Enjoyed planting the shrubs had to dig and create a new bed with DH but was good working and chatting.
5. DS1 telling us about his day out with his friend. He left at 8am and didn't get in til 10 pm. He did spend 3 hours driving though.

For yesterday,
Up the ladder trying apples for ripeness, not as many ready as I thought but we should have a bumper crop.
Not exactly OS but indulged in a little expense for self care reasons, suspect AW 2020 will be rough so needed, candles, essential oil and bath salts.
We finally got the storms they have been predicting all week, lots of thunder & lightning plus stair rod rain, much needed for garden.
Finally watched the Pale Horse that believe was recorded around Yuletide!
Evening walk and laughing at beloved in his shorts & wellies, he laughed last as my pumps got soaking wet.12 -
I enjoyed the pale horse laineyT
Right, having an early night tonight so posting early
1) woke at 5am to make sure i was ready to wave goodbye to mrpiano whose taxi arrived at 5:30
2) got rid of my 2 extra black bags of rubbish in neighbours' bins then returned the favour by putting two bags of garden waste into my brown bin
3) then mrpiano phoned - trains to Edinburgh cancelled due to horrid Stonehaven crash last week - quick wash and dress, up to mum's to borrow her car and dd2 and I got him to the airport with time to spare. shame he wasted the taxi fare to the station
4) more yummy spicy carrot soup for lunch - i added the end of a tub of hummus which made it taste even scrummier
5) and now about to tuck into hm Burmese curry then some piano then walk the dogs then bed. night all xxxMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
