I've lost a really long post.... hmmmWe travelled up to Wales just for the day to visit our friend, we were self sufficient with our own food and drink. We came back with a lovely lummox big male, and his friend who has some issues to work through a little ferret gal, it's proving interesting, but we'll get there, she's trying it on and all sorts but also enjoying it here.We got dinner delivered from a lovely independent place as its the last day of a half price offer.Garden is slightly tidied up.I'll be back with more but shattered and miffed at losing all the detail.14

Gosh! It’s already tomorrow. Very late for me been sitting chatting with our guest for ages.
Tried a doggy walk but only got so far then foot complained so came home. Met friend and chatted.Everyone went out so it was nice to be just me and my dog.
Then everyone came back which was nice to see.
Then friend visited which was lovely to catch up.
Made pasta for tea with loads of stuff needing used up from fridge.
Friend called we are passing can we pop in? Of course. Have you eaten? So fed them too.
And guest who’s a very successful hairdresser cut both girls hair so they were looking lovely.
Then an evening of chatter and singing! The dog took himself up to bed...12 -
1. Mixed day at work - a meeting arranged to discuss my flexible working request in 3 weeks time. This is good it took months last time!
Another issue I had received the response we are in a pandemic what can you expect! I had suggested a solution which would have taken under 39 minutes to sort out but it can't be done.
2. Enjoyed my walk to and from work.
3. Quick supermarket shop and I found my car on the way out. This particular supermarket I can never remember where my car is except for yexterday.
4.Easy tax-free some chopping and then in the oven for an hour or so.
5. Spent some time in the garden and chatted to neighbour over the fence.14 -
For yesterday,
Early morning sunshine, always a blessing.
Drove over to market town in deep Fenland to meet up with family.
Biggest pleasure of all was seeing my cousin after an absence of nearly 10 years, lots of childhood reminiscing and laughter.
It was smashing sitting in SIL’s garden and we enjoyed a Tapas style meal.
Home in time for evening walk with beloved and small dog.14 -

DD...... you gotta get your laughs where you can...........tee- hee.........
Took my brother to huge town/city. He had to do some banking. I had to visit the pound shop. He was very tense. But relaxed totally when we got home. Have promised him that we won't go there again. A silly idiot (no mask) turned in our direction blowing raspberries at his friend. Only up to a half of the passengers on public transport were wearing masks. My brother saw a sign that said mask wearing was obligatory. He read it out in a loud slow voice. Good for him.
Staying home today. I think we both need a break from public transport.
Feeling very happy that he is here. Sorry if I keep mentioning that.
Now to convince him to come on slow doggy walks. I must get him out of the house on a daily basis. At least he is not squirelled away in a room.
He noted yesterday that I have a lot of crows that visit. I have told him about Flo & Co. Hope she appears.
A great day wished to one and all

Bala, your brother will love following the Flo and Co soap story!
VJ's mum, hope you have recovered from the dodgy chicken.
Yesterday evening DS appeared with DGC 1 and 2. We used to see them regularly, and then didn't during lockdown of course. So now what was normal is a special treat.
Had a walk to the local post box to post a card I've carried around in my bag for two days. Met a friend I haven't seen for ages so my 5 min walk took about 35 mins! Good to catch up tho.
Nice, lazy, go nowhere day today. Bit of housework, bit of sewing, bit of reading. Retirement is a good thing!
Happy Wednesday everyone

I shall post a tad earlier tonight!Been a nice day here ...until I sliced my finger on a tin lid! Waaah! Still bleeding two hours on. And my typing finger too. See how I get on with this.
went to allotment this morning. First time in a while. And despite the weeds which should be easy enough to pull ( only did one beds worth) came home with a haul of spuds and courgette and rhubarb, spring onions and carrots. Gave a bag of potatoes to another chap who hadn’t been down much and had more weeds than I did. And another lady asked if I’d like some more courgettes so I did a swap for some potatoes.Four of the potatoes were bigger than my hand so they were baked for tea and made chilli ...well I started making chilli and then slashed my finger so guest had to step in! And very nice it was too. With courgettes in it and spring onions on top.DD1 made a rhubarb crumble which I’ve just had and it was very nice.DD1 also cut the grass. The lawn mower is crappy and makes so much mess , just churns the grass. I’m considering getting rid of lawn. It’s just a small patch .Been dry all day so washing all dried.12
