Yesterday
Another glorious day, another walk along the sea front, another half price lunch with friends in a sunny beer garden. I could get used to this!
Oh no I can't!! Today the sea fret is thicker than ever. It might lift I suppose. I hope so because if not I have no excuse not to clean the caravan windows.
Happy foggy day everyone13 -
Oh no! Poor Raffles, hope you and Bopsie are OK, BoP
Pleasures for the last few days
1. Nearly finished the corrections - i'm hoping tomorrow's pleasure will be submission
2. SOme nice walking - including a 12 miler yesterday in high humidity
3. Good BBQ at friends' last night. Watched the electrical storm from their garden
4. After a 'first day at work' (ever!) crisis, DS seems to be settled and is realising that he might need to really think about the kind of job he wants.
5. Watched "Official Secret" good film.
Have a great day allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
The Hunt is on!
Well, we are catless at the moment! Cannot believe Raffles has gone to pick the worms, shrews and birds upstairs! His picture summed him up. Local animal welfare found his chip. he was cremated at the vets! Buffer! No, little bu99er! He was part of the family, and here inn the parish! Thanks for all the notes!
Will catch up reads later!
Now with the BoP news
Such a blow losing our Raffles like that. He was still full and active. Will miss his calls at 4 inn the morning with his kills. We nick named him The Terminator. Got loads of spare cat treats!
BoPsie has earmarked the cat pages. The search is on! You cannot live without a ball of fluff! Oh, cat pages, local cats thing and the CPL! Never pay money to a breeder!
Was daytrip yesterday, up norff. We was out early too get to the corner house and have some Fish & Chips. Then some farm ices at Conisholme! Proper big uns. BoPsie had mint choc, I had a proper 99. Big. Usual rules, lick to stop the drips, and has the ice cream all the weigh down the cone! Still got it these days! As soon as mine is finished, were off! Old Man BoP used to do that years back, as soon as he finished his, off! BoPsie is still licking the top! Came back, and we were diverted by the jam buster home! BoPise set another land speed record, but again it is unconfirmed by the bizzies!
So home late to cocoa and bits, some The Grand Tour, and cheeses were consumed! Don't need much after a corner house serving!
Was at the dentist this morning for the check up and that. No, I don't send them by post, thank you! All good and anotehr visit inn six months!
Just bin and done shop. Wobbleades are inn. Flix being selected. More later! After late elevenses! Nut of ginger again, and some water!
That is all for nows!
I can't see it being long!

BoP, Raffles has left a space for another cat who needs a new start in life. We have pets for a few short years, but they hold our hearts in their paws forever.
Pleasures -
More and more sweet peas in the garden, perfuming the air,
Dog in the park meeting a young collie crossed with something else, lots of sniffing took place.
Lots of blackberry bushes with fruit, still green but in a few weeks......
Watching a video tutorial of signing a Rock Choir Song, very challenging having to sing and sign at the same time.
Listening to My Home Town on the radio, beautiful song from the film Eurovision. How she hits that high note at the end I do not know. One life - your life - live it!17 -
Have finally managed to convince my LD brother to come and stay with me. He has shut himself in his room for months only coming out to help my Mum in the garden and to eat/shower etc.
Have been worried about his mental health so am pleased that he is coming next week to stay as long as he wants. He is worried about train journey but Mum will give him all safety things......gel, masks etc. he will be uber careful because of this fear.
I will collect him and then the fun shall begin.
Tiggy pacing and crying with thunderstorm. Have tried everything over the years. Oh well...........managed to get 2 walks in today for her.
Looking forward to tonight's dinner..............

Bala, so glad your DB agreed.Lainey, aw I miss hedgehogs, making the garden so the ferrets can’t get out, also means that hedgehogs can’t get in.
For yesterday
1 Up early got the house hoovered and mopped just as it heated up.
2 Three animal washing loads hanging out.
3 Food today was chicken soup for lunch, pork belly slice with new pots and veg.
4 I follow the big green bookshop, and someone kindly bought a stranger, (me) a book, a lovely surprise, I also paid it forward, and my stranger happened to want a book on nature, it was a lovely unexpected pleasure.
5 Saved.
For today
1 A friend we know over in Wales has got in contact, she has had 2 ferrets come in who need help, and as we are experienced would we like to think about it and meet them, she doesn’t know we had 2 pass on within a week and we have two we are keeping comfortable, so we feel like this might be “meant to be” so to speak.
2 Funds, hmmm funds we have paid a lot of vet fees, safe to say we are eating from the freezer and have plenty but I’m re finding the food planning as healthy tended to also be a lot of fresh, I’m hoping it doesn’t have to be, it’s frozen breaded haddock tonight, with veg and pots.
3 The most amazing storms had the ferrets running into us, the washing is wet again, but so is the garden.
4 Dh and I went to L1dl for the first time since March and it was very quiet and easy and DH fell pray to the middle of lidl tools.
5 Watching !!!!!! and Angels Make do and mend.

Thanks PK. Mum had 5 children with huge gaps in between. Am old enough to be his Mum and certainly love him as one.
So sorry for your losses and vet bills. Am right with you there. But's it's wonderful what you and your husband do for a very misunderstood animal.
Keep well

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A lie in.
2) Hens OK.
3) Bigger son had his first professional driving lesson - I have taught him for a couple of years. He is ready to put in for his test so is doing his theory test the week after next. Hopefully he will only need 2 more lessons.
The handbrake has broken on my car, which is not a pleasure.
4) Tidied the living room properly, dusted and steamed the floor. Cleaned the stairs.
5) Made lemon chicken for tea. I cannot recommend Lidl's rooibos tea bags but we had their chocolate dumplings for pudding and they were marvellous!14 -
Hello. Bedtime and thankfully a lot more pleasant temperatures tonight.
Been a nice day, not as intense as yesterday but still very warm.
Another day of pottering around. Do a bit. Rest foot. Do a bit.
All caught up on deadheading in garden. Son emptied the compost bags that spuds had been grown in. And sorted out the 30m hose that had been left in a pile.Window cleaners came as we were in garden. So hurrah for clean glass.Son made spag bol for tea.See my big girlie tomorrow. Had a chat on phone this morning and so lovely to say ‘see you tomorrow’12
