Oooft it’s hot and sticky . Storms forecast for later. Hope they come and clear the air.
Back massage. Ooh and ouch. But much needed. First in five months.
Called GP for advice on foot and was given an appointment in afternoon. Saw a lovely doctor and my self diagnosing was correct. So I have Achilles tendinitis to add to the already sore plantar fasciitis...juts basically footitis. So some medication prescribed and to go back . But a mix of rest and using it!Made a nice pasta for lunch just using up stuff in fridge.
Son picked up prescription for me and some restorative ice cream. Was just out in garden for a bit trying to deadhead ( had went out to pick a posy) but midges were out so I came in. Gladioli looking lovely. I always think they’re quite a majestic flower.15 -
Bop and Bopsie, he's a gorgeous lad, my heart goes out I'm so sorry, but glad he was chipped for peace of mind. x
1. Our little humbugs diagnosis was confirmed today of lymphoma the vet was sad for him, he’s been through a lot, he came to us as a cruelty case where the previous owners cut his ears off to recognise him, so we had work to do with him but after some maintenance, he needed a two bad teeth out and neutering, then we went on with gaining his trust and he is the sweetest most trusting fuzz ever, he literally sat there while they poked him for the biopsies and didn’t move, but we had to pamper him the following day as he could obviously feel it and had a bit of pain relief, we went over today to discuss the options and pick up his meds, he will feel ultra-special, we will give him steroids and keep him comfortable and happy.
2 DH went for the MRI, I couldn’t go with him as they are working skeleton staff, but also rather glad to stay in with air con, we are hoping and praying it shows the reason for the pain.
3 The garden is parched but I’m trying to be good with the water at the mo.
4 Leftovers tonight turkey mince bolognaise pasta with broccoli.
5 I’m hiding from the temperatures, and I haven’t been able to exercise as I need to see the doctor this week which is annoying me a tad but there is a bit of a problem that needs checking but a pleasure to have an appointment.15 -
Sorry to hear that, BoP.
They're part of the family.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Good to get up after almost no sleep.
2) Left the car in the garage to have another spring replaced. They gave me a list of things it will need for the MOT (they didn't go over it with a fine toothed comb, just had a look around). 2 new tyres, a pivot arm (?) and an exhaust bracket are definitely on the list, if I decide the car is worth MOTing at all.
3) Hens OK.
4) Had a word with smaller son's solicitor. She said County are just playing games, trying to get me to settle for as little as possible. She said to get the draft EHCP done, no matter how rubbish, then we can appeal it!
5) Bigger son wanted to make a new YouTube video this afternoon so I had to be 2nd cameraman for that and nearly melted - 34 degrees!
6) Have cut the garden back here and there where plants were disappearing under other plants or not getting any light. Have frozen bags of thyme, rosemary, oregano and sage and dried some lavender. Borage flowers have been put in the ice cube tray.13
