BoPsie emptied her pocket hankies last nite. Flix was Hachi: A Dog's Tale. Cocoa and cheeses were consumed. Very good flix, but BoPsie had to get the hankies!
Did not has the fake buzzard roast last nite as I forgets the tatties inn the weak, so we finished off the stove chilled buzzard curry, with fresh egg fried rice. Made rite mess inn the kitchen doing so, but BoPsie cleared up! Dinner this day is chuck chilli with has bins, and pasta parcels. Will be hot and tasty!

A bit lazy today after a terrible nights sleep all round, dh has a shoulder issue which is a lot worse at the moment, and a ferret, with a heart issue who has attacks came up to be relaxed down with a cuddle to steady his breathing. I’ve done a few things today but not really tried to complete my to do list.
1 I found the detectorists series in iplayer which seems harmless we have watched the first 3 episodes of 3 series so I take it we are very ate to this as the norm.
2 The ferrets are enjoying the windy weather as is the washing.
3 Meal planning is going really well and clothes are fitting better, tonight is a mint marinaded chop with new pots and veg.
4 Wandering around taking photos of the flowers out in the garden.
5 More tidying, I cleared some tops, but I realised I need to clear down properly, as I still can’t tell what’s easily to hand, I’m trying to opt for quality, and I seem to have collected a lot of cheap ones. Getting there.

Have been absent lately. Not because I have been really busy. Au contraire. Because I have had nothing much to say!!
DS visited Sunday with DGC. I had bought some bubble wands which kept them happy for ages. Definitely worth the £1 each they cost.
We visited DD . She's very proud of her garden - first one she's had - and especially her tomatoes!
I bought a pair of curtains from Next outlet to make seat cushion covers for our new garden bench. Yards of lovely material for £15!! And all the lining too. That will keep me quiet for a while .
Happy evening everyone17 -
evening everyone,
Pleasures for today,
Up bright and early and slept so much better with the cooler weather, online Pilates class before work.
Productive day in the office and lots of things crossed off of the “to do” list.
A friends dog had puppies, I can’t wait until they are a bigger so I can have a cuddle before they go to their new homes.Mr M cooked dinner, hoovered and did the ironing....I’m loving him getting bored while furloughed.
Just settled down to read a few more chapters before watching some TVWell Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Evening all - been AWOL. No real reason just didn't get round to posting (although was reading
)
Some recent pleasures over the weekend
1. Lovely evening with friends in a mahoosive marquee in their garden. we were very good social distancing, another couple there.. not so much. Delicious food as ever.
2. forced myself to do a recorded yoga session - proud of myself for getting motivated
3. Walked into town along the river and back through the park
4. family film night - an unusual one chosen by DS 'Friday Night Lights' - watchable once you got used to it.
5. read some of my book. it's unusual (The Body, by Bill Bryson). I like Bill Bryson though this isn't as funny as some of his stuff. i chose deliberately as each chapter is stand alone and not a 'can't put it down'. It means i put it down and do some work!
And for today
1. Cracking on with the corrections - the only pleasure is getting to grips with them. I am heartily disliking it - especially today's (DD - it's ontology, epistemology etc.... i hates it... Needs to be more clear and unambiguous..)
2. a walk with a friend and his dog in the park. We took him a picnic he gave me a shed load of wine as a 'well done' pressie.
3. And chocolates that i had a few of this afternoon (and shared)
4. OH is cooking veggie curry for tea - from the freezer
5. Made a hair appointment for next week - they seem to have all the safety procedures in place.
Have a great evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
I thought it wasn’t a great day. The rain has chucked it down all day and my border terrier and I didn’t venture far. We can usually do a couple of hours a day.
I rang EDF energy. I rang them on Mar 16 when they sent me a final demand for £76.76. I’d never had an acc with them never mind a previous bill. They said they had taken over Toto’s accs and I had been with them from Oct 2017 to Oct 2018. I told them that I was in credit when I left Toto but as yet they hadn’t paid me. They said they would look into it but could I access my old Toto acc and check my final statement. I did that a few days later via Toto’s last e mail to me with my final statement showing I was £104.88 in credit. I then received a cheque for £76.76. I tried to call EDF, but we were then into lockdown and the recorded message was, if your call wasn’t urgent they would hang up on you. I left it until 2 weeks ago. I went through the saga and was told someone would call me back. That happened last week and I was asked to screen shot the final statement from Toto and send it to them. I tried that but I couldn’t because ‘site disabled’ was the result and if I googled Toto I was redirected to EDF. So, I called them again today going through the whole saga again. It was a very polite Indian sounding lady that answered but I struggled to understand her and I think I’m slightly hard of hearing. I told her that having had a demand for £76.76 then a cheque for same amount seemed like right hand doesn’t know what left hand is doing. Why don’t they accept my word that they owe me £104.88 minus £76.76. Someone is going to call me back within next 2 days she said. Rant over.
My dog is curled up with me for a cuddle.
My youngest son text to say him and my granddaughter coming tomorrow morning. In my bubble.I made homemade tomato soup for evening meal.I’m enjoying a glass of homemade apple, grape and pear wine.16 -
Hello. Another one with not terribly much to say! Nowt much happening!Apart from rain. We have lots of that. Couldn’t walk through the fields today as the path was literally a stream!Went out this evening to a new discount supermarket that’s opened at other end of town but actually didn’t get much, thought I could get as cheap at Tesco. Then went to T and got a few things to wear in the sale. Bought son some RTC cherries and DD2 a candle.Went to ice cream shop. I wore my face mask for the first time when I was out in shops ( as per government guidelines) but couldn’t see a blooming thing as my specs kept steaming up!Came home to spag bol made by son. Then ice cream for pud.17

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son's evening yesterday sounded marvellous! He met 2 school friend and they sat chatting, 2 metres apart, in hammocks they put up in the forest. He did some bike riding today.
3) Did some general tidying and cleaned, plus cleaned the bathroom. Changed my bed.
4) Went to the allotment and did a fair bit of weeding, ate the strawberries and picked raspberries, currants and rhubarb.
5) Bigger son made a nice curry for tea.
6) We went for a walk in the forest.
7) Watched 2 more episodes of the Black and British series, which was very good throughout.
8) Hen re-homing is restarting so I shall be picking up 4 new ladies on the 19th July! These are ex barn hens so have never been outside but should be in slightly better condition than the ex battery hens I have had before. We're going to mow the pen tomorrow as the grass it getting too high.16 -
Mhagster -use a small amount of washing up liquid when you clean your glasses and it helps with them steaming up.
1. Work at different location which I enjoyed. Chat with people I worked with.
2. Managed not to lose my visor - can be difficult to keep it on when working in a drive through tent. Very much like a wind tunnel.
3. Chat with my parents on the phone.
4. Peaceful evening - DH in the computer, DS1 at online poker night - he won and DS2 at his girlfriends.
5. A couple of my tomatoes are becoming red.16
