Hello. Bedtime, just been out for the last doggy walk and enjoyed listening to a blackbird singing and the coolness of the air.
Up early and out with dog through the very squelchy field.Down to allotment and all the weeds and inwardly cursing the flaming rabbits. Who’ve eaten the peas, the chives, the spring onions and the raspberries. However pulled up the first of the spuds, a single spring onion and a fair load of rhubarb.
I have met and chatted to so many different people I know today ( all safely distanced) and I’ve been fairly cheered up by it! It’s good to talk when you’re at your very essence a social person.Gave neighbour friend the rhubarb.Cut the grass. Before the BIG rains come.
Friend was dropping off something so sat in garden and had a cold drink and a chatter, it’s been on the whole a nice day here.Had a very nice dinner. We got a Gousto box yesterday and tonight we had bang bang chicken salad and it was so yummy . Yesterday was Korean chicken and it too was yummy though any hotter and I wouldn’t manage it. I was always a bit sceptical of these food deliveries but it was 50% off for first order and I would spend more on a takeaway on a weekend. And the boyo is cooking it!Met a very charming ( though very sharp clawed...ask me how I know?) puppy this afternoon and had a lovely chat with her owner. Puppy was just gorgeous as puppies are!A good day.15 -
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A lie in.
2) Got some horrible paperwork completed for smaller son's meeting next week (with the County Council).
3) Dropped sons in canal town where they did some very good drone films.
4) I popped to my sister's for a cup of tea while they were droning.
5) Back to canal town to collect sons and an older man talked to us for ages about drones! Sons said several people had chatted to them.
6) A tasty tea. I had some puff pastry so made an enormous pasty (then chopped it into 3 for us). The filling was fried up onions, sage, chicken, bacon then melted cheese.
7) Went to two local churches to use the drone. A couple asked me if I was surveying it! I can't imagine I looked that professional this evening!
8) Did the online quiz.
9) Paid a bit more mortgage off.15 -
I had indeed noted no hatter losses since you joined us bop back at the kenny saturday.
1) no workout this morning as had 8am international webinar (on feedback since you ask). very good though phone went off at the end - oops - builder with quote - had totally forgotten to put it on silent
2) accepted quote for house painting which needs doing but will delay my mortgage early payments - well done on yours frith
3) after last meeting took the dogs for a walk - i needed it! - then watched last 40 minutes of midsummer night's dream and got some more urgent jobs of the to do list
4) finished at 8, put the chicken on, realised we were running short of milk so trotted down to mr s local. who did i meet on the way back but he who didn't want coffee. was nice to see him - we had a 20 minute chat suitably distanced including the footie (he's a fox) and when on earth will our favourite pub open - turns out neither of us has the sport at home so have been deprived.
5) supper was yummy albeit a bit later than i'd planned then 40 minutes on the old joanna then final walk with the boys - the sky was a glorious pink. overall a good dayMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Busy morning doing various errands and chores, dog and bird food purchased, car filled up, how cheap? and two loaves of bread made.
Chat with DB.
Lunch was a ploughman’s with still warm bread.
Both DSS’s plus lovely gf came round in the afternoon and we celebrated both our Uni grads getting a First in their respective degrees, the weather stayed dry and we had a rather merry dog walk around 7pm when youngest tried to race an excited spaniel to her tennis ball. Can’t remember the last time I consumed so many wobbleades!
A rather bleary eyed Lainey watched the lovely Supervet treating puppies and then crashed into bed.15 -
Pleasures yesterday.....
As ever, the routine dog walk. I get exercise, fresh air, the chance to give my dog some fun time.
Noting the location of all the little clumps of blackberry bushes out there, ready for when it's blackberry picking time.
Making a really nice vegetarian chilli with leftover veg and lentils. My son ate it all and didn't even notice it had no meat in it.
Home made sponge cake with buttercream and strawberry jam filling. Son was very complimentary about it.
Planting out two potted rosemary plants (from the supermarket, growing herbs section. Cheaper than garden centres) along the edge of the new patio area. Fragrance and beauty for when we lunch outside. Also good for making herbal oils and vinegars.
Hearing that a friend who has been waiting a long time for an operation has been given the go ahead for the end of this month.
One life - your life - live it!16 -

My post yesterday was lost but Wednesday wasn't a great day so will post for yesterday only.
1. Had a chat with neighbours son as we passed on our lane. He and his year old son are doing welk.
2. Good day at work. I worked in a different place- same work but such a different atmosphere that I enjoyed the day. Amazing what a difference people make.
3. Paella for lunch which someone had brought in - it was delicious. Also non alcoholic sangria.
4. Sat in the garden doing DH accounts until it poured with rain. DS2 was out in the rain and came home drenched!
5. Tea was easy - from freezer.13 -

Table is booked, weres outs tomorrow! More later!
Had snorkers, best back, grilled yo, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, toast and has bins in tom sauce. Very good for you and far better than egg and cress sarnies.
Elevenses are late as BoPsie has bin out getting flowers. We once had a cat, well BoPsie accused BoP of deheading the plants, until she court our cat eating them! That was a few cats ago he was! Now we just has the Terminator aka Raffles! Yesterday he was on form! 7 kills this weak!

Pleasures for yesterday
1. Went to a woodburning stove shop - a man is coming to give us a quote on Monday. we've been trying to get to this point for some months - if not years
2. OH has agreed to spend a bit of money tarting up the downstairs loo. We have realised that we are probably not going to be moving from this house for a long time so thought we'd throw some money into making it what we want. Prior to living here we'd only stayed five years in each house - after 22 years here i think we've finally twigged we're staying
3. Made delish carrot, cumin, lentil and coriander soup which we had with low carb rolls that i also made
4. Salmon for tea - love salmon
5. Watched an episode of our Aden series (The Last Post) and Ambulance
And today
1. Did yoga - was hard but could do it all
2. Been for a walk in the woods with OH and didn't get wet
3. Visited Lidl and stocked up on some stuff i only get from there - nuts, olive oil etc; Much cheaper than tescos
4. Leftover curry for tea
5. (and also applies to yesterday), my complete lack of taste and smell first thing is due to hayfever not Covid...
Have a great evening / weekend allI wanna be in the room where it happens13
