5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Hello All
decided to explore with Tiggy. The dog 'gang' were in the park and best avoided. There is a beautiful 3 year old staffy that the owner has no control over. Very powerful and strong. She actually flipped Tiggy over and Tiggy is no lightweight. Luckily she is aged because I don't think she would have put up with this a few years ago. The owner does annoy me because this behaviour is almost constant leaving other dog owners afraid. The owner keeps saying that it is just 'play' but it isn't. It's a very clear sign of dominance bordering on aggression. Luckily I got Tiggy out pretty quick but one day there is going to be a fight and I don't want to witness it.
So.............Tiggy and I explored roads that we haven't walked down before. My goodness the beautiful front gardens were sights for sore eyes. Even spotted a few plants that I don't think I have seen before. Had a chat with a lovely Jamaican lady whose accent was absolutely wonderful. She was too. Chatted to a young lad that has worked at weekends and holidays in our local grocers. He is off to university in September to study Aeronautical Engineering. I do hope that he has a job when he finishes. He is such a lovely lad.
Have a wonderful evening

A fairly quiet day. Due to both weather and a headache. DD2 staggered in at 1.45am and dog vomited a sock at 5am...though thankfully managed to leap out of bed and downstairs and out before it was on a rug.
(that's the pleasure! )
has lashed and lashed with rain all day.
wet as far as local supermarket and chemist before going to mums. Was there for about 90 minutes.
Then home and had a roll with corned beef as that’s just what I fancied! Went and had a lie down as headache. It was smoky chicken and mushroom linguine for dinner which was very yummy.12 -
Friiiidaaaaaay
1) very nice bean salad for lunch with end of the onion and garlic dip
2) swapping pictures of dogs online - J's doggie was very warmly wrapped up - it was very wet and cold all day
3) Fish and chips for tea - rain stopped and sun came out as we walked down to buy them in person with cash (and masks)
4) first walk letting dogs off lead up at Balgay. met a couple of friends and the Principal. Had long chat with Principal.
5) then long phone convo with dad as I walked all the way up to the top, round and then back via the botanics. was absolutely lovely (though arrived home too late to play the piano)

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not such a lie in as normal as I was requested to help perform an intervention - that's a first! I imagine most are not conducted all 2 metres apart in a garden...
2) More Ebay sales and another £70 off the mortgage.
3) Watered the tomatoes and courgettes and raked the hen pen thoroughly of a few left over grass clippings.
4) Bacon sandwiches for lunch.
5) Made a parkin.
6) Watched Gardener's World.

For yesterday,
No headache but felt ever so slight sick and hungover all day, my own fault but pleasure of being outside in the fresh air.
Girlie came in and I gave her a good groom, noticed a scrape at top of her front leg so cleaned it up and popped sudocrem on to prevent flies getting on it, us equestrians love a bit of sudocrem ☺️
Bit of a lazy mare for rest of day and did have an afternoon nap.
Evening walk with beloved and small dog, got home just before the rain started.
Hearing that my hairdressers are definitely opening this weekend and I have an appointment for Tuesday afternoon, no more hair bear bunch!13 -
Frith you are doing incredibly well with mortgage repayments.
1. Visited a friend- took some eggs, flowers and veg from the garden. She is shielding and living alone. All done at 2m distance.
It was great catching up and chatting with her.
2. Went to local farm shop for some veg and bread. Maybe treated us to a Bakewell tart.
3. Neighbours have a swarm of bees on one of their roses. It is fascinating watching them.
4. Filled the car with petrol- only 2nd time since lockdown. I thought it would be more as an driving to work more but no traffic jams.
5. Sat in the garden with a drink watching the hard-working under the trees as it started to rain.15 -
Well shiver me timbers !
Flo the crow actually tapped on the window. I rushed out to put food out for her thinking that the food I had already put out had been eaten. But no..............she hung around to show me her beakful, both sides. And then she flew off.
What absolute 100 percent unmitigated joy she has brought me today.................... I am blown away.

View from the sky ...
Californian St. At Stockton. it is called the street to the sky!
Tarting up the closet! Salmon. Proper food, as long as wild. I try not to buy farmed, as it is more fatty.
Now with a version of BoP's Life for you!
Glad over the years that the £10 I put into the pot of pension, which the taxman gave me £2.50 is now paying off big time. Mortgage is now interest free plus. You never got £2.50 from the society! Growth says socks and slippers. All I needs is mes whippet! I can now take me £2.50 back and liquidate inn the wobbleade emporium!
Watched TED2 last nite with cheeses and wobbleades. We had reversion foods of breaded prawns, sling roles and chicken twisters with chilli dippy sauce! Nice!
Had snorkers and best back, with bins, toms, mushrooms and poached egg for brekfest. Tea was drinked. Good for you.
Booked across the road for Date Nite this evening. I will rub my fur and me jacket, BoPsie is getting her glad rags out! I will be getting my fill!
Lates elevenses with a cake of Jaffa and some minted chocolates! Naughty but too nice too miss!
That is all, must get Raffles readied to give the Hatters some oomph!
It was too long too cross the road.

Okay
I promise this will be the last on Flo the crow for today. She has visited 3 times. The second time with her baby who kept begging to be fed but Flo was not having it because she flew off with baby in tow, food firmly in her beak.. She must have put it to bed because she came back for a third time. Clearly for more food. I watched her and a wood pigeon have a Mexican Stand Off on the fence. As she sat there she lifted her wings and on her body just tucked underneath are more white feathers. I know I seem a little obsessed with her but there is something magical about having a wild animal visit regularly. It brings me such joy. I am easily pleased.
Went to fruit and veg man with Tiggy. She was fussed over, I treated myself to some beautiful looking cherries and a yellow courgette amongst other things. We then strolled down roads that we have never visited. Again some beautiful gardens. All in all a really lovely day.
