Hello. We’ve had a sunny day here which has been most pleasant. Tad breezy.
up early. Very lovely doggy walk with a doggy who was very lovely. Loved the wind through our hair and the sound of the leaves rustling as the wind blew through it.
Then we had the vets, again beautifully socially distanced and a lovely chatter with the vet after all the doggy stuff was sorted. To continue on expensive medication for now though at a reduced dosage from Saturday so should last longer.Back home and picked up DD2 and we went to garden centre looking for pots ( getting a new porch at end of week and wanted pots) had something to eat outside as we were allowed to eat out from today. That garden centre didn’t have what I was looking for so drove cross country to another one and found what I was looking for there.
Then had to park in town to pick up DD2 prescription at pharmacy in town. Just felt far too busy with people everywhere! Nipped into M&S . I’ll be back at work from weekend and work clothes ( though I haven’t even thought to try on old stuff...I just know they won’t fit comfortably!) were needed. No charity shops opened here yet.
Home and a quiet afternoon. Washing in and washing back out.Sue when my husband was diagnosed terminally ill he initially said he wanted to die at home. We always thought that’s how it would be however he spent his last 2 weeks in a palliative care ward ( hospice care ) and for us it was the most amazing time that we all agreed ( him included) was the best place to be. We were allowed to just ‘be’ . I stayed permanently. Kids came and went. We ate together each night. We chatted. We sat quietly. We laughed. We cried. But mainly we laughed. It was a comfortable and comforting place to be. We were cared for though I was allowed to attend to all personal care. We were encouraged in how we wanted things to be. I had the opportunity to talk with staff at length. And I know that was all pre-corona virus and now things are different but are there no concessions to visiting /staying together? Know that we are all ‘with you’ at this point and you can lean on us at any time.16 -
Mhags, I wish I could thank you twice.

SuffolkSue, I can genuinely say you are in our thoughts.
I haven’t posted for a couple of days, as I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of age related us and ferret illnesses going on here, we now have 3 ferrets poorly, and a long car park vet apt with them all today, each morning and late evening we are literally queuing up the medicine bowls.
1 We talked about not treating ourselves to a takeaway tonight because of last weeks and next weeks, vet expense, but then I remembered our favourite independent is on uber and I saw an offer on the MSE newsletter for a code, with the offer it made tonight’s food for two, 2.50, which was rather nice.
2 Face pack, feet and nails cared for and polished, deep conditioned hair, feeling a bit more presentable.
3 Food planned from the freezer.
4 Spent today running about to Dr apt(s) for DH, then home, a bite to eat then off to the vets and long conversations, the plan is for 2 ferrets antibiotics and anti inflammatory’s for the rest of the week, then, if as we suspect it’s not something doing the rounds in the household, both will be booked in next week for investigations.
5 A couple of washing loads on the line, and the garden watered.

Thinking of you, SuffolkSue.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) Went into the next village to post an Ebay parcel and got a few bits from Tuffins.
3) Popped to the allotment and watered the tomatoes and courgettes. Brought back the bird box as I had had to smash part of the base off to remove a wasps nest! Bigger son nailed it back together for me.
4) Made a pizza for tea.
5) Sad news that my brother's dog has died. I got together the photos I had of him over the (many) years. I think he was 18 so neither son can remember before him. Funny to look back at him with black fur, not silver!
6) Spent a couple of hours in the garden, chopping things back, sweeping and watering.
7) Have been chatting to bigger son for a couple of hours.
Big meeting in the morning with the County Council. Its quite awkward when you don't know what you can ask for, what is a sensible ask, what is too much. I haven't been sent an agenda or a list of who will be there, needless to say. Smaller son's solicitor says to just ask for everything for them, they can say no, then we (she!) can appeal. We shall see. Mainstream schooling needs to be taken off the table in the first 30 seconds! The only person to remember and wish me luck is the secretary of our MP! I’ll have to send her a card when all this is done.

After much more asb/police muck, ongoing, want to wish you well for this morning, Frith, with wry smile re: msg from your MP's secretary.... :-)
Lack of agenda/panel membership is a mark against, to hold in reserve, if necessary.
Will be thinking of you today.

Suffolk Sue. ((()))
All that mhags has said and known.
Hope you can urge some gentle leeway around visiting while also caring for yourself.
#
Hope everyone can keep on keeping safe and well.
All blessings and a strong KIA KAHA!
Shan't mind a No Watering day if the 70% predicted rain comes :-)

Can only echo Mhags fine words SuffolkSue, the love and care we received as a family from our local hospice when they cared for our DM was immense. We had the time to just be a family again, rather than patient and carers, a precious last gift indeed.
For yesterday,
Meal planning done, emporium shop done and visited farm shop as well, spent an eye- watering 50% of housekeeping budget but freezer and cupboard are full, should be just F&V for rest of month.
My cacti bloomed for the first time in 12 years! unfortunately the flower has already gone but very beautiful whilst it lasted.
Over to the yard, girlie was good for her Mum and we have a lesson booked for Friday, first since early March.
Rescued several wasps out of the water feature, we think they have a nest near the old walnut tree as that’s the direction they seem to take.
The dark clouds blew away and we had a fine evening.
