Hello again. Back from caravan where internet connection is even worse than ampersand's!! Tried twice to post then gave up! So, since I've been away.......
Dfv. Great post as always. So pleased your special tree is sorted. I will send healthy growing vibes your way. I'm off to look up nose exercises! I have almost permanent anosmia ( allergies/ rhinitis) with occasional wonderful days when I can smell and taste again.
BalaB. love the crow tales. Almost a pet crow!
Suffolk Sue. Much love and hugs. The visiting restrictions do sound harsh, especially at such a difficult time. ( I always rewrite then delete my posts to you. Anything I say seems crass . M Mhagster says it so much better). But the thought is definitely there, for what it's worth!
D Doll. I love nutella. I have to limit myself to one jar per year, kept at the caravan ( sorry Blackbeard!)
It was so good to be back at our self contained, socially distanced caravan. The weather was mostly kind, if we ignore an attempt to blow us away on Sunday. The sea is still there, and some cafes were open. We got take out coffee and sat on benches outside, watching the waves. Perfect.
We were going to go to the nearby RSPB reserve, but an albatross had been spotted. Every twitcher from miles around had turned up so we didn't bother! The puffins will probably have gone now anyway, and they're the favourites.
Back home now, but will be going back soon. We are very lucky!
Happy afternoon everyone

1. Back in CUBG and immediate chuckle at your 'even worse than &'s', happycas. Caravan+waves+just KNOWING it's there.....def. osp.
2. 'Happy Birthday to you....' being sung en famille, several small people, a few trees away :-) &'s next online bkg will be made tonight (they open each Thursday for the forthcoming week) - def. for mardi, juillet Quatorze, since &'s usual Bastille day in France is off the menu this year.
3. NZ friends dropped by Monday, through back field to avoid trouble (they recorded van break-in attempts and other vandalism+asb last year) I am today wearing the incredible knitted 2-ply Shetland lacework scarf J. has done for me. She has always been brilliant at all crafts, but feels that this 1- +2-ply spider's web work really is Her Thing. She's started another - all done on 1mm bamboo needles!
4. A beloved young LP lass is back in hospital, critically ill, after 5 months there earlier, much major surgery and not quite a month back home. Her adoring partner advised us this morning. I had just arrived, so this on-and-off rainy visit, &'s inept pics and small film chats are for them both.
Began with this living green heart.
5 Lainey, re:hair - feels good, doesn't it? :-)
& had an early a.m. Soddit session before rugby club AGM on Saturday (which was wonderful) - and did it herself. Amazingly, it's rather ok!

Thankyou pk - being Not There is my escape. It's tiresome, edgy, worrying, but I think they have over-reached themselves this time. I have strong, experienced advocacy, filmed(and other)evidence and very pertinent help this time, too. & is unused to acknowledging being in this need/accept mode. Decades of reverse, rather.

Frith - tried to check re:mtg yesterday, but nothing worked. Stick to your guns with Ms Solicitor. Who knows? - if that MP's secretary keeps him informed, maybe he can make them see the sense of saving £27,500 p.a.......

Think I'll drop in to The Alma after 1700h, they are now carefully open and &'s Meriva is parked gratis just opposite:-)

Thankyou all for taking the time to post your pleasures.

Tiggy and I have continued to wander down streets that we never bothered with before. The other day it was a wide avenue with big front gardens that sadly had been made into drives. About 90 %. A vast difference from the tiny front gardens (terraced houses) that were pure magic to look at with all the different tastes and colours.
There is a lady down the road that has a drive but she has at least 30 ceramic pots that she fills with flowers. I look forward to it every spring as it is riotous with color. This year she has even planted flowering plants around the tree on the pavement. I have often thanked her.
Today we found massive blackberry bushes with ripe berries. I know where we are going tomorrow.
I ate my cherries and they were well worth the cost.
Happycas..........glad you had great time.
PK hope little ones are doing better.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son and I worked on the allotment for hours, through continuous rain. One shed taken down, hen pen repaired, more shelving within (so they can all get up out of the draught), paths weeded, campfire for the kettle.
3) Had my refund for Bulb so have now paid off the maximum mortgage I can this year.
4) Made Jamie Oliver's chilli in wraps for tea.
5) I'm always surprised by the way smaller son's mind works. We have some new oil (Lidl hadn't got any olive oil) and he looked at it suspiciously and said, "It looks like the start of films flying over houses”.
5 hours later, I have found out what he means... it’s a couple of seconds in.

Good morning. Thursday already. Fell asleep before posting pleasures last night.
Lovely morning walk with doggy.
Then just in and DD2 called me to see if I could drop something off at work for her so did that, had a quick chat with boss about return to work. Picked up mums stuff at pharmacy. Quick supermarket shop for fruit. Met friend in car park so chatted for about 20 minutes. Home.Quick lunch then off out to mums. Met a lady with a lovely puppy ( live in next street) who I’d met for first time last week and we stood chatting for blooming ages! Half an hour apparently as my son later told me! Finally got round to mums and sorted stuff out there.Home. Brought in washing as the sky looked mighty dark but clouds passed over and we didn’t get rain till evening time.Son made dinner.
Rubbed DD2 feet ( probably more her pleasure than mine) and talked about her day .Then it was beeeeeeed!Have a lovely day15 -
For yesterday,
Funny old day, had felt back ping a bit cleaning shower day before but didn’t think too much of it, woke up in agony and could hardly move.
So pleasures of a hot water bottle placed just so and painkillers, it was a very rainy day so didnt miss being outside too much.
Small dog kept me company all day.
Had arranged for DB and DN to stop at ours for their tea, didn’t want to cancel so dug a few bits out of freezer and cupboards to cobble a meal together, so good to see loved ones.
Will bank #5 for when feeling better!14 -
Full Steam ...
No, yous nevers gets BoP to even be in the same room as a jar of NotHella!
Ah, & The box is ticked, all happy, they have loadsa money to spend! Don't start BoP on Educationalists. Just looked at my final year at skool, I was larteady too days a weak at the college. 400 in the year.26 went to 6th form! Just about 7%. Now is is really better we send over 40% to debt! I got craft skills, and when I did join up, I went to a technical skool! No, today we can spend £30,000 and give not one toss about why we do! I feel for Frith. The box is already ticked! Job Done. No one gives a ski tea!
And BoP is being polite!
Now with some of the BoP doings!
Elevenses! Now! Proper biscuit and leaf tea. With dash of proper whole milk and it looks like chain oil. Proper. Now has just putt the cricket on. Leather on willow!
Well I saids wes were havings the snake nite on FryDay. We went early as BoP is now semi retyred, so fillet snakes, and mushrooms with vine toms. Medium for BoP. 10 minutes inn the pan, BoPsie has hers well done and that takes 14 minutes. People worry about burning, it does not. Perfects. And I did not need advice from Jimmy the Cook, or that Ms Smith either!
Note. Not NotHella!
Court up with the million quiz and then continued the John Adams series. We weres going to watch Washington, but it was pumped with peoples jargon and the missile lobbing Clintons. Cheeses were aten and wobbleades were provided. Raffles had new treats from BoPsie for the thirst time in ages. He loves being hand fed!
Had biscuits of wheet with ice cold whole milk, tea, orange juice and Marmite buttered crumpet! for brakefest
Well, now settled to watch the cricket.
Time for one to fly off the edge?
