Okay
My Dad drove to South London from the Kent seaside............and I got to see him for the first time in 4 months. Yippee..... I could have hugged him to death........but I didn't. I was very well behaved ! My heart is singing with joy. He looked so well which is a godsend because the last time I saw him was in hospital. Nope, I did bring him home and stayed a few extra days. Anyway, horrible time.
Sue, I have the same 3 wood pigeons that visit everyday and play the same game. The dominant one is constantly chasing one of the other two. The bird that is not being chased nips in and grabs the food. I am sure it is the dominant one that gets the least. I even create 3 separate piles for them but they seem to like this game. I do love them as they are so silly but they won't leave until they have cleaned the garden, which suits me fine. No worrying about food left for rats.
No blackberry picking today. Aches and pains. Tomorrow...............
Have a wonderful evening

Hello. Been a dry day here, warm at times but mainly overcast.Son was so ill last night, vomiting! Oh my lord I’ve never heard anything as awful! Bit better today though he’s just had toast for tea. Totally out the blue.Lovely doggy walk this morning, went through the still very squelchy field and got a tad muddy. But once we were through that bit ( I’ve a fear of mud and being stuck) enjoyed the rest.
Then went to allotment. Met colleague out walking with her child so we went together...gave her some rhubarb. Lovely to chat to her.
Had leftover peach crumble for my lunch which was rather yummy.
Having chips for tea...DD2 treat!Just going out a quick doggy walk.14 -

Frith, thank you for the recommendations, I’ve made a note of both, I’m planning on watching the first episode of What we do in the Shadows tonight.
1 We did get up early, but I have to be honest, we relaxed on the sofa looking at the drizzle and wildlife in the garden and achieved very little else, nothing on the to do list was achieved and it will still be there tomorrow.
2 Discussed what a great buy the handheld shark vacuum is, we use it everyday just to keep on top of the food and fur debris left around the house from the animals.
3 I made a chicken curry packed with a lot of good for us things, turmeric, garlic, onion, pepper, courgette and carrot, also tried a bit of cawli in, it’s a very yellow meal. While I was cooking that, I sorted the oven to deep clean, and put a cleaner through the washing machine, so I feel like I’ve done something today.
4 The lockdown has made us appreciate where we are but also made us realise that we do want to move, and what we want out a move, a choice of easily accessible walks, and for me I want to be able to get to a sea bit.
5 I hung the washing inside as everywhere seems soggy. And I wandered around the garden refilling the slug things with guiness thinking ironically they drink more than I do, althou possibly their last drink.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A lie in.
2) Went to see my parents and was allowed in to... the porch! (it was raining). So I still haven't been in anyone else's house since March.
3) My brother topped the car up with oil for me.
4) Bigger son had added the finishing touches to the renovated hen house so we walked down to have a look at that.
5) Saw 2 doors uphill neighbour on the way and hadn't seen her for weeks. All OK with her. She said how people with not much income have done OK over the past few months as we have had no opportunity to spend anything. She has saved her old age pension. I have overpaid the mortgage here and there.
6) Sausage, egg and onion sandwiches for tea.
7) Did the virtual pub quiz.
8) I booked tickets at our nearest National Trust place (we are members) so we will be looking round there at 1.30 on Sunday afternoon. Just the grounds will be open, but they are huge.
9) Was doing different insurance comparison quotes as smaller son will have to go on my car insurance next month when he is 17 (so 2 learner drivers...) Then I remembered that I haven't applied for a driving licence for him! So I have now.15 -
Recent pleasures:
visited my sister in law and had a good old chat
hairdresser came and cut my hair and had a good old catch up
met my sister in local park for a walk, a sausage in a roll, an ice cream and a good old chat
lunch in a cafe with oh for first meal out! Ok at first but then started to rain so we had to move inside where I didn’t feel so safe. Lovely food though, omelette etc for me and huge all day breakfast 🍳 for him 😊
Last few jobs done in kitchen/dining room so I think it’s finally finished! 🤞😊 (work started on 20th January!)15 -
For yesterday,
Back much the same, awful in the morning after laying in bed then improves a tad during the day.
Have done a lot of reading and watched some You-tubey videos.
Did bake a loaf as Ken(wood) does all the hard work so that made the house smell good.
Several walks around the garden in between rain showers.
Bid and won on a Toni Raymond pottery room name plate, how could I not as it was not only my name on it but it also had a horse drawing on it ☺️15 -
