Suffolk Sue, you are not alone, Friends on here are wishing all the best for you and your DH.
My pleasures today.....
Leisurely cup of lemon and ginger tea in bed, knowing I am now off for 11 days.
Pleasant walk with dog in the park where she met a couple of friends, a funny little black cocker spaniel called Betty and a beagle called Gracie.
Parcels containing son's birthday presents starting to arrive, his birthday is in three weeks time.
Seeing all my mange touts plants starting to flower - hopefully lots of posh, expensive-to-buy veg on the way.
Fresh linen on the beds for tonight.
A snuggly tabby and white kitten curled up next to me.One life - your life - live it!16 -
Hello. A day of not overly much ( just for a change!)
We had a nice walk over the fields this morning when the day was bright then it’s been mainly heavy showers rest of day.
chat to DD1 and then sister on phone.
bit of gardening in between showers. Lots of deadheading. Had a substantial brunch so just had some crackers at teatime.16 -

Happy birthday to CCP (yesterday - almost my birthday twin)
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A lie in.
2) Took bigger son to nearby village as he is selling his bike to a former school friend. (He's already bought a newer one).
3) Hummus and salad leaves sandwich for lunch. Made a currant flan but no one fancied it today. Muntjac steaks for tea with roast potatoes and sweet potatoes.
4) Watched the Man Utd match.
5) Did the online pub quiz.
6) Watching Glastonbury highlights now and messaging my siblings who are also watching but on different channels! I had to turn the Oasis one off as I was 19 that year and it was just too nostalgic. Watching online now and waiting for Bowie.16 -

For yesterday,
Woke up to much cooler temperatures, made some bread to celebrate.
Pottered around the garden, dead-heading and weeding mainly, starting to see some butterflies now.
Picked up all of the tiny apples that had fallen off the tree but still have a lot left, looks like it will be a good harvest.
Evening walk and small dog could chase tennis balls for first time in nearly a week due to lower temperatures, she was so happy.
Seeing the Boss on the Glastonbury highlights, hope he tours again.15 -
1. Long chat with friend on the phone. Walked round the garden while we chatted.
2. Managed to quickly clean the house while it rained.
3. Cleared some bindweed from the garden. Planted a hardy geranium in the space I had cleared.
4. Ordered retirement present for someone at work.
5. Had mussels for tea.16 -

Good Morning all
Two blackberries turned red. Just waiting for the other hundred to follow suit.
Loving the cooler weather because I can get more done.
OH on the mend so am cooking huge chicken (RTC) today. A small portion (I get complaints if I overload) will be served with creamy mash and gravy. Haven't decided on veg yet. Tiggy will be treated with some too. The rest will be used tomorrow with a salad and lovely bread (I think).
My Dad has finally closed his shop. At 80 years old you would think he would be ready to rest but absolutely not. He has plans to become a car-booter. I really really tip all my hats to him. And my Mum. They constantly amaze all of us.
Got locked out the other day and had bright idea to climb onto wheely bin (that took some doing) so that I could open larger bottom window by hanging through smaller window on top. I did this once many years ago. Sadly time and ailments have changed the way my body works. That and many extra stones in weight, dodgy hip, and loss of agility. Of course the bin wheeled itself away and I ended up hanging onto window frame, legs dangling. The damage was done when I let go. Suffice to say I have lots of sore bits and pieces. This will not be attempted again !
Have a wonderful day
