Hello. Been a nice day here again. Though a cool wind it’s been sunny and washing hung out has been dried.
Early morning dog walk over the fields and a tiny bit further today. My bathroom is clean as is downstairs loo...the other one can be cleaned by its users!Grass cut.Grass seed sown. Try and cover the pee marks made by dog when he was on steroids the other week which made for copious peeing!Popped out to pick up DD2 meds at one pharmacy in town and then my mothers at this end of town.Nipped into M and S, got a few nice treaty things for eating. Also got my trolley cleaned for me. Thanks!Watched the final episode of outlander whilst not knowing it was the final episode...waaah! What shall I do on a Monday now? Save it up till I’ve done all my chores ...at least I still have Masterchef Australia!Don’t need tea as have munched most of day.15 -
For the past few days.
1 The hoya plant is sending out flowers again, I am really happy with that.
2 Had to go for a lighter meal today, fish and rice was tonight’s offerings.
3 A bit of pottering, weeding, reading, not much cleaning.
4 Enjoying watching the crow using the bird bath with its food.
5 Wow the birthday chocs from the local chocolatier are out of this world.
6 I’ve applied for a couple of remote roles.
7 Sick of the news and media, I turned over and landed on the minions, which seems apt.
8 DH’s DM had a long phone chat, nice to see.
9 I cleaned the whole house up nice o burn some calories, however made up for it with 2 slices of chocolate cake.
10 DH needed something ordered and we had a discount code

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) Still stepping up the walking. Similar rote to yesterday's but trying various paths around nearby stately home. Pic to follow.
3) Wraps for lunch, fish and roast veg for tea. Made a sponge cake with raspberries in the middle (between the layers, not in the middle of the cake mix!)
4) Bigger son's photo book arrived so he has a proper book of the Nepal shots.
5) Watched a bit of TV.
6) In bed with 1 hwb.

Frith - I'm jealous it looks lovely and I was at work yesterday.
1. Still walked before work and at lunchtime. In sheltered areas it was warm but the wind was cold.
2. Returned a clock from work on Saturday to the person who had left it. She was pleased but hadn't realised she had forgotten it.
3. Long chat with a colleague who works in a different department about an ex colleague who I keep in touch with. Also about him home schooling and doing the maths and science.
4. Home and long chat with my parents while walking round the garden.
5. DS2 cooked chicken curry. It was tasty.
6. Watching a pied wagtail - I think- at work. There is patch of grass and trees outside my window. This helps pass the time at the moment.15 -
Fab pic Frith
For yesterday,
Saw the weasel again, only I now think it’s a stoat as has a long tail with a black tip to it.
Spent some of my survey earnings on some new watercolour pencils, haven’t drawn for years but am feeling the compulsion again.
The first of my salad leaves in a wrap for lunch.
No monday night quizzes but we watched a couple of episodes of After Life series 2.
Covering up small dog with her blanket last thing and thinking about another household who face an empty basket, know that feeling, RIP Nigel dog.

Since November it has been as follows ;
Tiggy had to have 2 teeth out (still not convinced about that) but came home leaking bowels for almost 2 weeks At the same time she kept winking her eye shut And I knew there was something wrong. It ended up not only being an ulcer but a cyst too. That took at least 2 months to deal with and repair. Immediately along comes a ruptured anal gland which we have been giving her antibiotics and painkillers for. For 2 months !
When I came home after my Dad was discharged from hospital I immediately noticed that the 2 lumps on her leg (that I had asked the vet to check in February) had grown considerably. They are hard lumps not fatty cyst ones. They were aspirated last week and her glands were swabbed as well because they just won't heal.
I am not sure if this is the right place to write this but having kept all this worry in along with the tremendous concern for my folks.........the last two days I keep crying with no provocation. I don't normally give into fears but this time nothing seems to distract.AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo

Didn't want to read and run, hugs for you Bala. I'm so impressed with the care you're providing for Tiggy, but sometimes things get a little overwhelming and we can all just feel like crying for nothing particular at the time. Be kind to yourself. Sometimes it is hard to recognise the pleasures in each day.Spend less now, work less later.14

Thank You Jazee and sorry, didn't mean to bring things down.
So.........
1) My first tea of the day
2) My birds
3) My bother's happiness and excitement today when he received a long long long awaited laptop. (A year or two).
4) The dinner that is cooking now
5) Finally having a microwave after almost a year. Don't use it for much but it's great for heating leftovers and forgotten cups of tea.
6) Knowing that I can live without a microwave. :-)
7) Vets !
8) Paying my bills.
9) Knowing that all loved ones appear to be safe and well (except for Tiggy).
10) TIGGY !
