1 There was a bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich for breakfast, (thought of you SSue), this is also DH’s favourite.
2 I made sure the little things were all wrapped up and there for him to walk into when he got up.
3 I pre ordered tonight’s food delivered, it is amazing, local beef and bacon, all toasted together full of calories and taste. They tried out a milkshake as well and threw in a couple of home made brownies, it is safe to say we won’t need to eat any calories all of next week.
4 I made a garden plant trough liner from a remnants of carpet in the garage. I don’t know if it will work, but maybe it will save me £7 for a new one, the garden also seems happy at being watered each night.
5 A rather loungy day, rather enjoyed Sandi Toksvigs pod casts thou.

Pleasures today.....
Home from night shift just before 08:00 to ecstatic welcome from dog. Next shift is Tuesday day shift so a few days off.
A few hours doze then lounging in bed with mug of lemon and ginger tea.
Lebanese takeaway ordered by son so no need to do any cooking today. It was lovely.
Singing practice, working my way through the song catalogue, just doing three songs a day to keep on top of things. I want to be word perfect when we eventually get back to performing.
Lovely cake sent round by neighbour, made especially for VE day. We had it with a cup of tea this evening.
Crystals nicely charged up after two nights spent absorbing lunar energy.
The scent of a lemongrass and ginger wax melt freshening the air in the living room and a sweet pea fragranced candle in the kitchen.
Bedtime spent listening to Classic FM.One life - your life - live it!16 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) A lie in.
2) Made Woolton pie and most of a broccoli and pasta cheese ready for tomorrow. And a pineapple upside down cake!
3) Saw my parents (from a distance) and dad suddenly said his first memory was being taken to the VE day party and bonfire. (The actual 1945 one!)
4) Had a bit of a tea party.
5) Went for a walk.
6) Enjoyed the Last Leg, filmed in all the different houses.

Sadly I have no cranberry left so my brie was once again plain, but still very nice PurpleKitten and SuffolkSue
PM2BOP last night I watched some football https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/52581366
1) Thursday's clap also gave a welcome time to catch up with neighbours (suitably distanced of course) - the neighbour's daughter I passed the french horn onto is teaching herself from youtube and can already play some recognisable early tunesmy actor neighbour tells me the Rep is financially OK at the moment due to grants (Though she can't see them reopening this year)
2) the beautiful moon on Thursday - I went for a later walk than normal and just stood and gazed at it as it rose up from the clouds
3) a junior colleague phoning me up to check I was OK. I was very very touched - these little acts of kindness mean a lot
4) Friday night may no longer be Phoenix night, but it was still fish supper night. our local does the freshest fish. We also had some delivered to mum who said she had never had such fresh fish from a chippy and would certainly be going there when lockdown ends (honestly, it is sooo fresh i think they must have a haddock pond in the back!)
5) then book club - our first in lockdown. At one point 13 of us on zoom. Mainly it worked well, though some talked over others (no different to face to face) - i realised i had moved into online facilitator mode lol. At the end, as the talk had become a bit depressing, i asked people to say something they are enjoying in lockdown. One member said she didn't think we should be talking about positive things as life is so awful for so many. i think back to this group and how, at bad times, thinking about positives, however small, carries us through. I for one need the positives for my mental health so I thank you all for your acts of kindness to me over the years. Huge hugs to all

Pleasures for Thursday
1. An online argument with BiL (for some reason he is targetting me, probably because i criticise 'his' government ... ) turned into creative rage in which i cleaned the kitchen, baked a dorset apple cake and made 6 jars of marmalade (from a jar).
2. sat in the garden and read my book with the odd doze in between chapters. Lovely, haven't done that for years
3. I didn't go for a walk - it was feeling like a chore, so i didn't do it!
4. Had a very successful barbecue
5. Family film night - jurassic park. Which i'd never seen. Discovered that, if i knit, i don't fall asleep!
And Yesterday
1. Did the bonus marking that arrived on Thursday. Glad to have them out of the way.
2. yoga online
3. Online coffee morning with friends.
4. Walked along the river into town and the long way back through the park. DD came with - she isn't quite herself at the moment, hopefully she'll perk up soon. Nice to see some suitably distanced street parties.
5. Another family film night - my choice, which was "HIdden Figures". brilliant film. More knitting.
Have a lovely day allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Hear hear DD it’s always good to find a positive, no matter how small it may seem.
For yesterday,
Opening my back door with first cuppa of the day and feeling the warmth of a beautiful late spring day.
Eating breakfast at the DR table and seeing a weasel run across the lawn, have only seen on a handful of occasions since I have lived here inc one memorable winters day when he played in the snow. Watch out baby bunnies!
Having no near neighbours a street party was off but hung up bunting around the place and spent most of the day in the garden with my two trusty companions.
Made some sausage rolls to have with salad for lunch, plus we had chocolate cake for afternoon tea.
Raising a toast to HM and all that fought inc our grandfathers, kinda puts current situation into perspective doesn’t it.

This might be a strange 'pleasure'..........but pleasurable it is !
Was able to send an elderly uncle, someone whom I love greatly some money today. It's his birthday.
It still thrills me that it is in his bank account immediately and I didn't even leave home.
(Yes, am complete technophobe but what that leaves me with is wonderment over how fast these things can be done).
My birds that visit all day now waiting for food. Have even bought them proper bird seed because am starting to worry about the diet of bread I was giving them.
The friendliness of people when I do venture out.
Just feel blessed today.
Hugs to you all

Came in and a little parcel on the table for me. Thanks to a very kind person on here! Lovely and much appreciated 💜Time spent in garden.Started watching New Amsterdam ...a bit of a sob fest at times due to cancer storyline but enjoying it...shall continue to binge!
