Big All be it virtual hugs to you, Suffolk Sue.
1 I did some online banking to make sure we have tight control over the budget.
2 Food delivery welcome as always, however this time it was really bad, squashed, ripped broken and missing literally half of the order even basics milk, eggs, in fairness they refunded within hours, I guess it’s one way to budget to just not deliver it.
3 I played about learning to make things on a scroll saw, I did a couple of wooden ferret cut outs.
4 I dropped a note to the local independent restaurant on FB, to check with them if they are open on Friday as I wanted to surprise DH, so I’ve pre ordered his birthday dinner with money off also but he doesn’t need to know that bit, and I’m sure wouldn’t mind either thankfully.
5 Very thankful for the garden enjoying watching it thrive on the daily watering and all the wildlife on the feeders, I’ve planted a few seeds around direct into the garden.

that’s it’s exactly it ,I’d forgotten about anticipatory grief ,and the how etc .
i have been warned of at least three different ways it may end ,one is especially horrific.
i must think positive and you are right in enjoying the humour etc14 -
Thinking of you, SuffolkSue. It must have been good for your husband to get out into the garden.
Pleasures for today (Thursday). A busy day - by recent standards!
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son tried another run to Bridgnorth now he has mended his tyre. I had to laugh at his Strava map as he couldn't find his way back over the river Severn so it is a tangled knot of him going round and round the town and into housing estates!
3) Left my 3 bags of manure on the allotment and everything looks OK there.
4) Dropped a second hand bike off at my brother's. Waved to him and parents at a distance.
5) Bigger son and I worked on an escape room that we shall set up in my sister's garden tomorrow.
6) Spoke to downhill neighbour then waved to other distant neighbours during the clapping.
7) All my herb seeds suddenly arrived in the post so I planted 100 of those.
8) Did the Thursday night virtual quiz.
9) Bigger son sat on the village hall roof to talk to his colleagues online and saw a peacock on the roof of the garage next to it and people looking confused and pointing at it! There are no peacocks round here!

maybe the peacock is self-isolating !

For yesterday, the days are all merging into one now!
A magpie and a collared dove having a stand off under the apple tree over bird seed, the dove fluffed itself right up and won the day, surprised me.
Over to the yard, girlie was standing nose to nose with her bestie dozing. They shared an apple plus a couple of carrots each and when my pal’s ex racer wandered over to see what all the fuss was about he got a carrot too.
Warm in the sunshine and the honey buzzards were circling up high.
Asked beloved what treats he wanted for the weekend and he requested a chocolate cake, might have melted too much choc for the topping so dipped some strawbs in the excess for afters.
Evening walk and the farmer was spraying the fields so we went around the village instead, lots of bunting up.

Some recent pleasures
Taking dogs to an enclosed field for safe play, we all really enjoyed it and will book again next week.
Garden is coming along a treat.
Very busy at the paid stuff.
Five days off the paid stuff now.
All the little things DH does for me to keep my spirits up.
Spend less now, work less later.13 -
What a wonderful day it is
Now trying my hand at face masks. Mine is made from a leftover piece of Liberty fabric - very posh! DH has decided he wants bandana style. I think he watched too many cowboy films in his childhood!
A baby blackbird got stuck behind the tool store yesterday. We only realised when the male bird was getting very agitated and positively shouting at us every time we went near. DH moved lots of stuff, put down a little dish of water and then we stayed away. It's not there now so I like to think it's flown off somewhere.
No VE parties here. We're a very quiet cul de sac. Only three households clap on a Thursday, and then very sedately, in a restrained fashion!
I shall ponder quietly on things, though. It's a strange world we're living in. I often find myself wondering what my mum and dad would have made of it all. Got on with things, and done the best they could, I suppose, as they always did. I do miss them!
Happy 🌞 party day everyone

Hello. A tiny bit tricky having to sign in ( and not having signed out ) but here I am.
did not wake till 7am which is late, so slightly later with the doggy walk which increases the risks of other doggy encounters but we almost managed two fields all by ourselves. The forecast overnight rain never came so had to water everything. I need to use umpteen watering cans of water as last two hoses were broken by builder / landscaper. Anyway it’s much back and forth and a doggy just wanted cuddles which is what we normally do when we get back in from our walk.Popped some herb cuttings in pots and a bag full of empty plant pots and dropped them off at neighbours doorstep.Huge hurrah as the recycling was taken away, I reckon by this time next week we should be up to date. That was 7 weeks worth! Shameful amount of caffeine free Diet Coke cans.
Pottered around.Made scones, meringues and tiny cupcakes filled with cream and strawberries for a VE Day tea.Another lovely day and as always thankful for those who went before us and gave us our freedom.12
