Can you please advise what settings you changed to use the openDNS service.
** Just seen link to BE forum.0 -
All info here http://www.opendns.com/ but basically you manually enter the DNS addresses 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
I have a Mac and so did it on the PC rather than the router.Works a treat.0 -
I'm a new customer of O2 and I was wondering if there is a quick way to get to your emails? I have to go through the website scroll down to emails then another page etc, whereas with my last isp I simply added the emails page to favourites and it was pretty much instant. Thank you.
Oh and I've also been having a few problems going on some sites late at night, (youtube mostly), apart from that I'm very happy with O2 I have double the speed of BT even though I haven't been unbundled lol.

If you mean via webmail simply add this page here to your favs.
Other users have found OpenDNS useful. here:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I just made an order for a new landline and hopefully will put O2 on that.
Is there much difference between the Up to 16Mb pack and the Up to £20 one? Is it worth the extra money?0 -
Ordered BB on the 31st October. I must say I was very impressed with the updates of when things would be happening.
Received a text 30mins ago saying the switch is about to be made. Connected up the modem without using teh 02 software (what's the point!!!) and have just run a linetest.
4.2meg! I'm happy with that as I this is the maximum for my area.
Very impressed

Switchover from Bulldog to BT - 16 Days
O2 Broadband Activation: 6 Days
Broadband Outage: 6 Days (After line was switched to BT)
Bulldog Download Speed: 6.5 meg
O2 Download Speed: 13.5 meg
Mine went live today at around 10am.. Very impressed so far! Everything went smooth.. Very pleased with their updates! Placed my order on the day my line was switched to BT, so o2 was unable to tell the speed I could get. Placed my order for 'Upto 8 meg' as per their suggestion. I am on 13.5 meg now, will wait for a few more days and see what speeds I go up to and then decide accordingly!0 -
I was plugging directly into the Master Socket within a metre and removing the bell wire improved my speed by 1.5Mb. I was amazed
Similar situation. Plugged into the master, with 1m of cable. When I switched to the TEST socket (behind the faceplate) I went from 1200kb/s to 7200kb/s. How rubbish must the internal wiring be? I've yet to remove the bell wire and rewire.0 -
If you can't get faster than 8Mb, you are not really on the O2 product, as your exchange has not been LLU'ed with O2 equipment."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Can I order BB from O2 if I don't have a landline yet? It will be installed on 03.12 ... so I wouldn't like to order after I have it... I would have BB than after Christmas0
