I commented a couple of weeks ago that my (new) o2 BB was quite erratic with download speed.
It would appear that it wasn't o2 but the server at Maidenhead which speedtest was recommending. I used London and Dublin and that was stable - I now note that Maidenhead has gone from the map.

    Completely happy !

Just about to switch from BE to O2, just need to get my MAC key and I can then switch. Just would like to know how to get the £60 via quidco, I have an account with quidco but just not clear how to sign up via the website with my MAC key.
Follow the link from Martin's Money Saving Tips, this takes you direct to the Quidco page and if you are logged in to Quidco, from there direct to 02. Otherwise go to Quidco, log in, search for 02 and do it that way. I have just signed up and apart from an error I made on the form filling (on line) it has all gone very smoothly, and I will now be saving £6.50 per month, plus £60 cashback. Great!

I see Quidco are now offering £60 cashback for going to o2, has anyone had any problems with this?
No. Signed up and it is showing on Quidco website immediately.

See my other post. Follow the link to Quidco from Martin's Tips, log in, using your username and password, go to 02 and sign up. Very straightforward. When you complete the forms on line for 02 you will be asked for your MAC. They have told me it takes about 7-10 days, so if you have a current contract, just beware of this. So far they have seemed very efficient and when I have called them on a couple of points I was not sure about, they have been very pleasant and helpful. A UK call centre as well!!

    Hi,
Can someone help with this conundrum please :)
I am currently with Madasafish for broadband and line rental, if I was to switch to O2 would I need to change my line rental to BT? Or can I keep my line rental with Madasafish (or change to another line rental provider such as Sky for example)? Thanks in advance!
This is one of the big disadvantages of switching away from BT line to a supplier that you pay line rental to. I am afraid you will have to switch back to BT, but give them a call and you may get a deal! Don't forget you will get £60 cashback which should sweeten the pill.

i'm getting rid of aol and gonna sign up for 02, got my mac code. having problems with entering my debt card details though when i go to order broadband from 02 i know the card details are right but it's having none of it. gonna keep trying in the hope it works.
You can call them on freephone, (see their website) and explain problem, but be careful they will try and sign you up on the phone, and you will lose the Quidco cashback! Interesting , my wife is a veggie, but she DOES eat fish reluctantly at times, when there is no choice on the menu.

  • Hi, I'm looking to sign up to O2 BB today as I want to take advantage of the increased quidco.
I have my MAC code so can sign up no problem but do I have to activate an O2 sim card (PAYG) and charge it with £10 today or is this required withing the first 3 months.

    Any help appreciated.

I've pm'd you but on the second step of placing the order it will require you to enter your MSISDN (mobile number).
    Waddle you do eh?
