Please how do youchange from WEP to WAP? There are some guidelines on o2 website, will follow the instructions be sufficient. Thanks
Simply log into the router and navigate to the wireless setting page. Change the encryption from WEP to WPA not WAP. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I have the same problem with o2. Cannot connect to some web pages, yet can with another service provider. Contacted o2 - they blamed IE7 and try Firefox, thought unlikely reason, but tried it anyway and guess what - same problem exists.
Has any one come up with the answer yet. I am really pleased with o2, on the whole, but of course if I cannot access some pages I need, that will soon change!
Any advice would be greatly received:j

This link is from the o2 home page, if you go to the menu along the top of the screen and click on the Help drop down menu, go to online help and the page comes up with 'Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Page', it is also happening when I try and access my virgin mobile page - same thing. It is particularly frustrating not being able to access the help pages.
Hope you can give me some tips,
Many thanks,

All those pages are working for me and I think its been mentioned but it appears to be an IP Address allocation issue that O2 may have. Apparently they used a new range of IP addresses which are causing the issue. It seems to be a relatively common issue (a quick google shows this).
One thing you could try is ring O2 (its free) 0800 230 0202 and be quite firm that you have this issue and have heard its a ip address range problem and ask them to allocate you a STATIC IP address for a month to see whether that resolves your problem. From what I've read in the forums: it will.Waddle you do eh?0 -
OK, that is interesting, thank you but what is a static IP address? Think I read somewhere there is an additional charge for one.0

Yes there is normally a £5 per month charge for this but if you ring them and say you want one temporarily (say one month) to see if it resolves your problem as it has for others. Hopefully they'll obligeWaddle you do eh?0 -
I'm going to switch to o2 but would prefer to use my own router, has anyone had problems doing the same ?0
