We went live with O2 yesterday and everything went very well. My OH and I set-up the router using disc supplied by O2, and following the instructions.
OH and I aren't techie at all but the instructions were really easy. Have achieved speeds of between 5 to 11 meg at differing times of the day.
So far we are really pleased.0 -

I know that, it is just that I will have a MAC key and I can not see on the O2 site where I can order the broadband with my MAC key.0 -

Hi,
Can someone help with this conundrum please
I am currently with Madasafish for broadband and line rental, if I was to switch to O2 would I need to change my line rental to BT? Or can I keep my line rental with Madasafish (or change to another line rental provider such as Sky for example)?
Thanks in advance!0 -
What happens when you plug your existing number into the O2 website?

If it comes back with the package you can get you should be alright to stick where you are. If it errors then that may indicate that you would have to switch to BT.
I'm only guessing: the O2 Broadband number is a freephone so you could ask them if you're unsure: 0800 230 0202Waddle you do eh?0 -
It tells me that I can get upto 16 meg so looks like it should be ok!
I'll give them a tinkle though to confirm.
Thanks for your help! :beer:0 -

The bb is separate from the phone line, so you can do whatever you want. You must keep a bt line though to have o2 bb. (ie not cable)0 -
So its more of a "BT Compatible" line than anything then - as long as you're not on cable you should be ok....
