Once you've run the Speedtest, you should see 'Forum Link' under the result. Click 'copy' and then just paste into your post. Like this...Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

The above is what I am now getting on on O2.
This is what I use to get on AOL.
The only problems I had switching to O2 is that they did not send me the text message to say my O2 connection was active until a day after I was actually connected to them.
Also, I have a problem trying to change the settings in the O2 wirelessbox II box to stop broadcasting the network name (ssid). When I made this change I lost all wireless connections from other devices. I had to use the ethernet cable to get back to the O2 wirelessbox II box settings and change it back to broadcast the ssid again and then all devices reconnected wirelessly. I don't know why the security feature does not work as it should.Regards

Hi,
I'm afraid I can't tell you why disabling the network (SSID ) broadcast doesn't work. However
a) Doing this can cause compatability problems with some devices (it's against the spec)
b) It doesn't add security since the network name is easily retrievable
Ensure you setup WPA 2 / WPA encryption and you should have a secure network. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

a) The PCs / laptops worked fine on my previous router with the ssid not broadcast.
I have set up WPA and that was no problem changing from the default WEP.Regards

In fact the website says free installation is available all this year at least.until 31 December 2008 you won't pay a connection charge0 -
Signed up to O2 last night via Quidco and already I can't believe the difference in customer service from virginmedia. Four text messages and 3 e mails from O2 so far to let me know how things are progressing and I should be getting the broadband pack delivered on the 2nd July. Switch on is scheduled for the 7th July. All for £7.50 a month and a few mobile top-ups a year, less the quidco payment.
Keep up the good customer service O20 -
My broadband with o2 was activated yesterday and I can't praise the service highly enough. Everything happened on time and my wireless connection was set up without problems. Just a little tricky doing the email set up on a Mac.
Add to that the fact that my connection is so much faster than BT and I am a very happy switcher!0
