We can only get the Access package for £17.50. Is this as good a quality as their cheaper packages????
It is "normal" bt type adsl.
Seems a bit expensive compared with other bt type isps (though they give you unlimited downloads if you use lots). The £17.50 is a special price for o2 mobile customers - the standard price is £22.50.0 -

It is cheaper than we are paying now - Idnet £24.99 pm. It also has good reviews, which I prefer if I am tied in for 12 months........
Thanks

My exchange is being O2 enabled on 30/6 (according to "samknows") and I have registered interest on the 02 site but not heard anything yet.
Would anyone know how long after the exchange is enabled they usually take to start connecting people please?0 -
Appologies
for posting this here as well as on the Techi board but I thought I might get more of a response in this thread and the answer if anyone knows may be helpful to several people who have singed up to O2 broadband.
I have decided to switch form AOL to O2 broadband.
When I get the O2 wireless box I will want to make some changes such as the network name and set it up from WEP to WPA. I have 3 computers / laptops set up already to that name and WPA pre-shared key so the idea is that once I have set the router to the same name and WPA key the computers and laptops should connect wirelessly without having to make any changes to them.
To make the changes I would like to read the user manual for the O2 wireless box so does anybody know where I can download one;) ?Regards

Depending (1) which o2 package you have signed up to - eg o2 Access is just the same BTw product as anyone elses (2) what box you already have; then you COULD potentially continue to use your existing box and just revise its ADSL connection settings to use the new o2 service whether BTw or o2/Be ADLS2+ LLU ones.
So 1) which service you signed up to ? 2) what box you got now brand/model number.
See my o2/Be features summary for links to both the boxes o2 loan out at:

Note that the o2 boxes have an o2 tailored firmware and NOT the generic Thomson.0 -

i laughed when i read your post because i thought i had wrote that under a different name:rotfl: :rotfl: thats exactly what i planned to do from aol to o2,
i phoned o2 and they said although i could keep all the same settings ie wpa and ssid etc... the guy said because it's a different router i would still have to put the settings into other devices such as laptops and wii etc...
can anyone confirm if this would be correct as i would of thought keeping the same settings would do the trick0
