i laughed when i read your post because i thought i had wrote that under a different name:rotfl: :rotfl: thats exactly what i planned to do from aol to o2,
i phoned o2 and they said although i could keep all the same settings ie wpa and ssid etc... the guy said because it's a different router i would still have to put the settings into other devices such as laptops and wii etc...
can anyone confirm if this would be correct as i would of thought keeping the same settings would do the trick
So its great minds think alike or fools never differ. Only time will tell when we try it providing I can get hold of the instructions to change the ssid and encryption in the router to WPA using the same pre shared key as I already have in the PC adaptors and laptops.
I'm with you in that I do not see why you would need to put exactly the same ssid name and WPA pre shared key into the devices that already contain them.
Hope there are some experts out there who can help us.Regards

I have been looking at various tarifs regarding unlimited downloads and O2 seem to have the best offer at 12.50 (if you are not an O2 customer already like myself)
I am currently with madasafish but they can't seem to offer me as good a deal as this. Is the O2 the cheapest at the moment? anyone rate them?0 -
I am looking to move to 02 as well...£10 a month for me. Sky also do their max package for £10 a month I think but I would rather go with O2 as their customer service is excellent."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

I recently moved the house and planning to go for O2. Rang them today and was told that it is not available in my area unless I go for £17.5, which is delivered over BT network, and expensive.
Is there anyway to tell when it will be available? CSA gave me sort of official scripts saying that he could not promise anything.
I checked the BE website, and it says my post code will be available in March 2009. Given that O2 is running on same network, I assume that will be the answer0 -
you guess correctly. The samknows.co.uk exchange search should also show the current date expected for upgrades to services, and also any changes as those dates slip0

i was on half a meg download speed with pipex, this is with o2 basic package which any pay monthly customer can get for £7.50 if their area has it

Hello newbie here
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned on this thread but after 30/06 the connection charge for the broadband will be £15.
Fingers crossed that the phone-line in my new flat works and I can get it set up straight away0
