Boo hiss to exam marking season - although the money will be fabulous when it arrives.
Sorry I've disappeared. I am catching up with reading but nothing to report other than exam marking and being really busy. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Today has been non stop, been volunteering from 9-2 and then spent a few hours with my share horse, only just got back and am absolutely shattered! Had a fabulous ride and a good day all round
however, not a NSD as I had to pop to the shops on my way home. I'm on 13 NSD's and am aiming for 15, should be doable before the end of the month!

Today I am grateful for a decent night's sleep, for getting a workout done before my brain could object, for scrambled eggs for breakfast, for a smooth journey home, for avoiding central Lunnon on said journey, for being home with dh and dd, for having a plan for tomorrow's complicated shenanigans, for my rasps and blackcurrants being so fruitful, for dd still loving her climbing frame, for re-reading the H P0tter books.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Dropped the upstairs neighbours to Clevedon as planned, they gave me £30, roughly half of that was for petrol, but I also got their bike as no way would it have fitted in the car and the lock is rusted closed.
Bf can borrow some bolt cutters from work to free it. I was planning of buying bf a bike for his birthday, so that has saved me some money too!
Then it was 30 mins up the road to see my brother. We had a 2 hour stroll to and around The Downs. We had a cider lolly each and some bird watchers offered us a peek through their binoculars at the Peregrine falcons.
After our walk we headed for a pub roast. Very tasty.
So not a NSD, but it was an enjoyable day.

Sorry I have been AWOL - life seems to have got in the way.
Including today I am up to 12 NSD's.
I feel I could have done so much better as did not do big monthly shop and so have done lots of little ones which obviously cost more.
Have been busy with surveys and stuff to try and get some extra money as our 'wants' are growing by the day and the budget doesn't allow for it.
Did manage to sell old ride on mower for £100, new one cost £150. Got the other £50 from a Paypal cash out which was money from PA that I had cashed out in Feb and forgotten about.
Sending ((( ))) and xxxx's to those who need them0 -
Did 60 minutes of exercise biking today, a bit less than I normally do time wise but it was a new personal best for distance so called covered during that session.
I am finding that even though I feel knackered after an hour I am raring to go again not long after that so maybe once our washing machine is working and I have more exercise clothes to hand I will consider doing two exercise sessions in one day.
I have the x ray on my leg tomorrow to see if there is anything wrong with it and if there isn't I am going to get cracking with Couch to 5k immediately!
I have just listed a few things on ebay. I hope they sell.
I am going to list some things on gumtree too as the week goes on.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Sorry I've been quiet - had a very long week at work, not getting home until seven - it was pretty much cook, eat, go to bed!
My NSD are looking good though. I'm at 10/12 - I think I'll actually make it this month!
Shopping budget on the other hand has been disastrous. I'm well over my £250 target. Oh well - will try and get this under control next month.
I'm grateful for a good day at work today - finished at 4:30, cleaned the bathroom. The OH is cooking dinner - I'll make sure lunch is sorted for the morning. I'm hoping for a very productive evening!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

NSD today
think that takes my total to 13, will have to check.
Not doing too great on the exercise front, somewhat lacking in motivation. However, I feel so much better when I exercise regularly so need to get back into it.

Damage limitation for the rest of the month. I did finally get my CV in on Friday saying I'm available from a week on Monday. Hopefully I'll have some money coming in in July or things are going to get tight.
The boys don't grow up, the toys just get bigger and more expensive. So glad the rugby season has finished for the year (DS2 has promised to get a skull cap for next season). As long as he doesn't start skateboarding again (or street hockey).NSD todaythink that takes my total to 13, will have to check.

I was thinking of volunteering unless someone has a fabulous idea.
Sorry for not checking in. Apparently there was a 4 day Well Fest in the library, the velodrome outside started on Friday with groups of schoolchildren who were told it was open to all on Saturday and Sunday. The fair (different rides this time - I got lucky with a bouncy slide backing onto my house) moved in on Friday night as part of the Armed Forces weekend, so the library/ town hall square was awash with Sea Scouts. The music was quieter than last time, the military band stayed over the other side and the bagpipes didn't go on for very long.
DS1 came to pick up all his parcels yesterday so I got told off about the state of the house and not looking after myself (I had kept trying, batches of washing up were done, rubbish had gone out and loads of stuff went upstairs). DS3 was told he must help me and DS1 threatened to come back every week to help (he doesn't have much time off and it's a 3 bus trip).
I did the fridge when he had gone, DS3 did some of the washing up and Beloved cleaned the worktop and cooker top. Beloved asked if I had any washing as she was going to do some and I have been pegging out and bringing in clothes yesterday afternoon and this morning.
Went to mum's at dinner, saw the new baby twins. Have been doing gardening for her, picked rhubarb, trained the strawberry runners back off the path, repotted 3 indoor plants and did a little weeding. I also tried to set up my old laptop - got it connected but must have missed a step somewhere. She doesn't need me tomorrow (I have more stuff to take to the charity shop, paperwork to do and start sourcing the next batch of shopping).
Today I am grateful for sleep, for remembering most of the stuff I meant to take (drill would have been too heavy) and for getting loads of washing dry.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Today I am grateful for dh's timekeeping, for good bus connections, for lovely pupils, for the sunshine, for the magpie that perched on the window frame to my classroom not coming inside, for cousins being in touch, for dd having a great day, for leftovers making an easy tea, for good books, for clean feet.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
