Managed another NSD since I didn't go out yesterday and got quite a few things ticked off my to do list. Even though it rained it still got very hot and I didn't manage quite as many as I would have liked. Of course, once you start cleaning you see all sorts of other things that need done so the list is now longer than ever. Oh well, nothing to do but get on with it.

How long are you going to Glasgow for,Calling There are a few people here might be able to give you some ideas. Loch Lomond is lovely and you're only just over an hour from Edinburgh (about £11.00 return by bus - not sure of exact fare as I get to go for free).

Only up there for 2 nights, have concert one night. Looked at train fare seems roughly same. I plan to just explore rest town I never saw last time, arrive afternoon but free that night. Any suggestions welcome - tad daunting on my own.

Wasn't planning on doing any cycling on the exercise bike yesterday as it was far too hot, I just sat on the floor. But OH dragged me out to play a bit of football till I felt too dizzy to continue, so that made me hop on the bike for a 10 minute warm up.

Have just sold £10.21 of books on WeBuyBooks, every little helps.

Today I am grateful for getting the most out of my bus money, for a particular class being surprisingly docile, for dh getting dd's prescription, for more raspberries from the garden, for dd telling me both the good and the bad about her days, for Icyland having p0mbears on offer, for dry washing, for lovely bus drivers, for the weather being cooler, for reminiscing with some pupils about kiddie programmes and their music, for having the time and space to ponder, plot and plan.

He's a Manchester Terrier. At least once a day I get asked if he's a Dobermann puppy.

Didn't post yesterday. Managed only 6000 steps, went to the gym after work, then ruined it by succumbing to a takeaway, so not a NSD.
Today I have had to buy some salad and fill the car with diesel, so not a NSD either. I have, however, clocked up 15000 steps today and completed a run.

Ruined my NSD by buying a coffee at lunchtime. I was at training today and gone fully prepared with water bottle, lunch and snacks, however, I really needed the caffeine boost. So still on 11 NSDs.

I have spent money. I saw a lovely dress last week, £8.49 in the BHF shop. My local history/ mutual suport partner said I ought to go and buy it (probably because he wanted to buy some new trainers having decided his ratty old black ones were the root of all his problems).

I had a number of errand to do this morning, so set off a semi-circular route that would bring me out by the bus station to do the £1 bus hop. It also took me past the BHF shop so I nipped in to see if the dress was still there. It hadn't been sold so was reduced to £4.49. So if I don't lose any weight, I now have a dress to wear for DS1's wedding.

Counsellor and best buddy (new name for him as the other is ridiculously long) both loved it - he kept taking it out of my rucksack to look at it, took some photos of me holding it up and says I should hang it up where I can see it all the time.

So have I given in to capitalism or am I rejecting it by buying a 'mother of the groom' dress for £4.49. I thought my outfit for my own wedding suit was a bargain at £34.99 (£10 more than my previous most expensive dress purchase but only a tenth of the cost of the groom's suit).

Met mum at the market. She sat on a bench whilst I did her frozen food order. I thought the two large reusable bags would be sufficient but mum had put toilet rolls down because they were on offer. Got all the frozen food in one bag but still had 3 x 18 packs of N1cky elite (£10) to contend with (plus my own bag and day rucksack) so asked to borrow the trolley, wheeled it back through the indoor market to mum, phoned for the taxi and took the trolley back.

I am staying home for the next three days as I can't leave the house without attracting more work. I have to finish someone's project from crafts, apply for mum's Council Tax discount and send for a form to exchange her bus pass for travel vouchers (can be used to pay for taxis), a commission from best buddy and copious notes written on the back of an envelope - got to go burning sausages.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Can I scream? The plumber has my bathroom in bits because there's a major blockage in the system and he can't do anything until he gets hold of a joiner and another "rod man". Even at that he's not sure what to do without flooding the hall underneath. I've been telling the local authority for years that there was something wrong with the plumbing but would they believe a mere woman? Now there's some bizarre message coming up on my television and I can't get rid of it. All this in addition to the hammering outside. On second thoughts I think I'll have a drink.
