    Evening all.
Very hot sweaty day in work, when I got home I was unsure whether to head out for a run or try and cool down. Decided I was sweaty anyway so headed out. Did a nice little 2 miles. Bf still nagging for a takeaway but I ignored him and whipped up a mini ploughmans for tea.

Have just had a read through all the posts I've missed when I've been away / catching up with what I didn't get done when I was away. Thoughts are with all of you having a difficult time at the moment :grouphug:.

I am on NSD 5, which is rubbish. I am feeling carp about debt, have a day to go until payday and so am sitting down to do a budget to get me back on track. We (except my son who hates being away from home) had a lovely time away but I feel like all of the good work I'd been doing is undone. It's hard explaining to my children as neither of them really understand why they can't have things when they want. I explained to them that the holiday has cost a lot of money and they couldn't have any treats for a while and my son has already asked for new trainers (which he needs) and a new computer monitor (which he doesn't). There's nothing my daughter really wants, but I cant take her to the shops as she always asks for a 'little toy', which is never little. I know that makes them sound spoilt, but if they are it is my fault as I used to be able to afford to give them whatever they wanted, but I no longer can. My daughter has learning difficulties and my son has autism so it's hard to make it meaningful for them.

My son starts secondary school in September and the uniform list is quite shocking:eek: We are luckily both working but how you'd manage if you weren't is beyond me. I need to start saving up for that now really, I have a little amount saved for Christmas and there is some essential work that my husband needs to do on the house so lots to juggle.

Exercise has been as bad as NSDs this month, but hoping to go for a run tomorrow when my husband gets in from work.

Main cause for celebration is not having to use the dreaded tumble drier at all :j Have also been complaining a lot and have got a £50 credit from my energy supplier, £13.80 credit off my broadband bill and have also got some cashback due in the next couple of weeks.

I am grateful that my family are safe and relatively well given the awful events of the last few weeks, that the weather has been good and the garden is keeping me fit (was like a jungle, slightly less so after this weekend)

Today has been a NSD and a healthy day :j managed two walks today despite the heat. Trying to really keep an eye on my food intake on top of working out as I'm going on holiday at the end of next week. Had a busy day at work today so just trying to wind down really.

Yesterday was NSD 10, hoping that today will be 11. I've taken my running stuff to work so the plan is to run past all the shops on the way home ;).

I did a heap of baking yesterday - flapjack, choc chip cookies and scones, plain and cheese. We had roast chicken on Sunday so I'm going to make chicken soup tonight and have that and a cheese scone for lunches the rest of the week.

Hope everyone is ok, hugs to anyone who needs one.

    Woke up yesterday morning with streaming eyes, wheezing and a splitting headache which was not helped by workmen arriving at 7.00 am to replace all the drainpipes. The hammering continued all day so I sat around in my jammies feeling sorry for myself until my son chased me off to bed when he came in from work. It's so hot and I don't do well in heat (sorry all you sun worshippers - I wish it would rain!}
Anyway, I'm feeling better today. Up and the washing is on. Waiting for the workmen to arrive for today's next dose of chaos (I know it will be great when it's all done). Bits and pieces needed from shops so I'm off for a walk shortly.
I spoke too soon. Hammering has just started - they must have been having a lie in this morning.
    Have a good day.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today I am grateful for a morning off work where I got some of the ironing done (whilst catching up with a tv prog) and tidied/ re-inventoried my freezer, for some free toiletries given to me by my mum, for a new book to read given to me by my mum, for getting OH's and my tax returns all sorted (even if - sadly - we both have some tax to pay), for OH's contract being extended - with a pay increase :D, for a lovely candidate in the exam this afternoon, for lovely colleagues, for sunny days, for fans!

    Evening all.
Another hot sweaty day in work, I had fans pointing at me today, so it was slightly more copeable (at least while sat at my desk) I didn't think my lunch thru though. Piping hot bowl of soup is not the best in a warm, airless staff room. Managed another NSD, although would have gladly coughed up some dosh for an ice pop if they had any in the local cafe. (The boss likes to feed the accountant a bacon sarnie when he pops in every week).
Bf is working late today, so took Duncan out for a slightly longer stroll when I got home. Managed just under 9000 steps today.
I'm enjoying a little piece and quiet with bf out the house, he'll be home around 8 so I'm going to make a cuppa and snuggle up with Duncan to watch an episode of Poirot before he gets home.

Today wasn't a NSD - had to get some keys cut for my house for my sis to let herself in while I'm away for animal feeding duties. It's been a healthy day though and I've managed a run despite the heat, so that's my little victory for today!

Not looking forward to tomorrow as I have to get the train and the dreaded tube into London for training on what's supposedly going to be the hottest day of the year! Think I may melt! I'll have to pay out for travel but I don't count that as a spend as I put it on my cc and then claim it back through work. I'm still only on 9 NSD's for the month and need to get to 15 - not sure how realistic that is but I'll give it my best!

NSD#5 for me... I should add though that it's an NSD because I don't get paid until tomorrow, otherwise would have been shopping..

I have had a minor incident with the car - no damage to mine but clipped the door mirror of a colleagues car whilst trying to get into the tiniest of spaces. Am wondering if there was already some damage on the door mirror as I was hardly moving and mine doesn't have a mark on it..... But I owned up immediately and will pay for the damage, which is a splintered piece of plastic edging (but knowing my luck hideously expensive to repair.

My son is having a massive growth spurt and is permanently hungry. He eats all of his dinner (has an adult sized meal) and half an hour later he's hungry again. So tonight he had sausage casserole, potatoes and mixed veg, then he wanted cheese on toast, now he wants pancakes. So I'm making him pancakes at 10.40 pm (much to my husband's annoyance).

Tomorrow I will need petrol and food shopping so aiming for NSDs Thursday and Friday.

Hope you all manage to sleep ok in this humid weather.....
