NSD 11 achieved yesterday
. Today will be a spend day, I need bus fares today as I'm working a late shift for 2nd job after usual job and won't have enough time to walk from one to the other. I'll also get some milk and bread to do us to the weekend.
Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77
Mortgage overpayment savings - £22.39/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £738.970 -
Well, yesterday was a much better day. Managed a walk, bought some fruit, veg and bread and made a huge bolognese and a pot of red pepper soup. I've lost 1.5lbs (big cheer!)
C is out for the day so I have a long, long list of chores to do. Let's see how far I get.
Much cooler here at the moment but think it's going to be really hot everywhere else.
Have a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Apologies had internet trouble at work and my tablet is having a fit at home so haven't been about since Sunday.
Sunday was a SFD as I didn't venture far from the house, too hot.:)
X_raphael_xx I thought Duncan was a Dachsund :rotfl:
Monday - Spent on Flowers and pressie for daughter plus few other items food 30 pounds oops.:o
Yesterday need bread and a carrot cake for tea party.
Daughter came home, surprised me in work so good to see her. GS remembered her and ran up to her slowly at first but when he realised it was her, full speed for a big hug. Very emotional day. 18 months to catch up on soon.:D
Good news got her old job back so she can save for the next trip next year to Canada I blame Kat as I told her about her.
SFD today so hot in this office I wish I had a fan. So muggy and not even sunny now.
Trying to set myself budgets for few days in Glasgow next week, gig paid for, just need extra train costs thought I would go up to Loch Lomond for a day, have breakfasts in hotel so pig out then. Not sure what else to do will just have walk around few places. Wish I had booked another night and could have done more. Just have to cram it in.:rotfl:
Small victories got a few surveys done today. Dresses bought last week one to return as bit too cosy so cc will be reduced. Other is gorgeous.
Grateful for
Having all my family back for now
Peace in office - everyone gone out and left me.

Glad dd is back calling, safe and sound. Which part of Canada is her next destination?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

How long are you going to Glasgow for,Calling There are a few people here might be able to give you some ideas. Loch Lomond is lovely and you're only just over an hour from Edinburgh (about £11.00 return by bus - not sure of exact fare as I get to go for free).Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

No NSds for me for a while - I have been eating an ice cream at lunch time a day)(oops!) but it has been sweltering with temperatures in the classrooms of my school hitting 32 degrees so I'm not going to worry about that. I'm back on my saving targets and have very little money left to spend and one more weekend to spend it in. Looking to do park trips and swim using my leisure centre card. That way I'll have saved around 25% of my salary this month which is great.
Grateful for:

Today I am grateful for not spending any money, for dd's tennis club teacher (they have also done badminton, table tennis and ball skills as they have had both pelting rain and sweltering heat during the course of the last few weeks), for a talk about a new secondary school opening soonish, for getting a workout done, for drying 3 loads of washing, for fresh bedlinen, for 10mins of tidying clearing a substantial space, for a working fridge and freezer (unlike our local aldee!), for a quick catch up with a neighbour, for dd telling me to stay an extra night when I go to visit mum.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi guys
I've not been around much this week cos not much to tell.
I've been doing a course (free which is good) but I'm not certain that the recruiter was totally truthful about the amount of possible jobs at the end.
On the up side I have an interview next week in a pub ( not really what I want to do but it's money if I get it)
A positive is that I don't need a full shop yet, just odd bits needed so that will keep money in my bank account.
I hope everyone is coping with this heat. It's so muggy and uncomfortable here. The weatherman said we might get a storm which might cool things down but no sign yet.
Sad I know but I'm waiting with baited breath for the new veg offers at A**i and L**l tomorrow. I have such an exciting life.
Nice cup of tea I think
Night all

NSD number 10 for me (not counting my train ticket as it's on the cc and will be reimbursed in full). Still ridiculously hot here, should be abit cooler tomorrow. Managed a workout and a walk but nothing major. Tomorrow should be the same again as I'm on training again, will try and manage a decent workout if it's cooler. Shopping is being delivered too, should be the final shop before holiday.0

Sorry for my absence, I have been reading along but not had much to contribute. The hot weather is wiping me out and I.m not getting a lot done. I have switched to doing things in the early morning and in the evenings, when it is cooler and having a little siesta when it's hottest.
However the world keeps turning and quite a lot of news.
Probably going to apply for carer's allowance. Mum wants me to go on hospital visits, take over the laundry and making her meals (plus odd bits like gardening/ sewing repairs and shopping - such as sourcing suitable mugs that she can hold safely and securely, she has the large shop delivered).
Now her partner is in a home, there are a host of other things we need to sort - single occupant discout for Council Tax, turning her bus pass (she can't use it) into taxi tokens, checking the security measures and changing the payment details.
I went to the doctor's on Monday to do my depression revue - score is down to 15, which is not as low as it has been but a great step forward from last month's 19. Still need to contact the CBT people, doctor will try them too.
DS1 and his fiancee are back from their holiday to Greece (gf has an English mother and Greek father who live there so cheap holiday). DS1 will call for his parcels on Sunday - should free up a lot of space in the front room. They are probably getting married in September next year, in Italy (very small wedding, followed by large parties in Greece and here). Only heard yesterday so still sinking in - paperwork looks complicated, especially if she has to get greek paperwork too). Will not spoil good news by worrying.
Crafts today and a new person in charge. A bit authoritarian and not well briefed. She was saying 'if you just look at this' to the blind girl. Told us what we were doing and will be doing something new next week - previously the emphasis has always been on people working at their own speed and no pressure. Quite a few new people who were 'able- bodied' (problems with addictions, PTSD etc) so perhaps it wasn't as obvious as some weeks when there haven't been enough people to 'help'. Good to have direction but also good to allow people to work at their own pace (and 'helpers' to have time to fill in all the bits people have difficulty with). Maybe will try to have a tactful word. (add to ginormous list of things I need to do).
Car Park is closed until Sunday as part of the Well Fest. About a third of it is covered by a 'velodrome' and the rest by cars, but presume these are just the people setting up the stalls in readiness (well Fest 22 - 25 inc).
Today's small steps - walked to Crafts and back despite the heat, ate a good meal before I went to avoid spending (took water with me and a lady had brought bara brith, plus we had to sing Happy birthday to another lady who also had a cake). Didn't wolf all the bara brith, despite it being slightly addictive.
Today I am grateful for wonderful weather getting my bedcover dry quickly, for free cake and for my lovely turquoise dress which makes me feel happy. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
