Hi turtles
Having a break from cleaning so reporting in.
Yesterday went early am walk around NT garden before it got too hot. Treated myself to brew however as my water got warm.
Ended up buying a paddling pool and another umbrella yesterday as the grandkids were over for tea. No shade in my garden so with umbrellas manageable.
Today cleaning house, nearly complete. Dd2 got her flight booked home Tuesday eek excited.
Exercise did 14k steps yesterday. Happy with that.
Will try and pop out walk later pop down beach maybe a breeze there, have friends garden to water as well.

Bit of an upsie/downsie kind of day today. We decided we would take advantage of M & S Dine in and have a roast chicken dinner using some money we had left over on gift cards. Got up early and went for bus only to ind that it was stopping outside town because of 10K run (plus side a bit of a walk). Got to M&S - no chickens left (plus side some nice pork chops). Thought we'd get the train back home (station closed - plus side another walk to the next nearest one). Swings and roundabouts - always look for the positives,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Calling - so exciting re dd2 coming home!
Florence - well done on other people noticing your weightloss.
Toni's friend - I can't even get dh to put the soap back on the soap dish. Good luck with your two!
Mothernerd - did you manage to finish the present? Good news that your mum's partner is in care.
Raphael - you do sooo much exercise! Hope you managed to find a cooler part of the day for a run.
Sorry not to comment on everyone. I am full of sneezes - not sure if related to the weather, or if I'm getting a pesky summer cold.
Keep safe, hug those you love, drink plenty of water, keep focussed on your goals.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Then my bestie came round and we had a sweaty 4 mile walk with Duncan in the woods. Very glad to come home to an ice pop. Duncan got to meet some cows up close. He wasn't sure, but said hello.

I'm back from an absolutely scorching London - 30 degrees in the parents garden today.
Was planning for a no spend day other than collection at church, but ended up having to buy drinks at the airport (coach didn't stop, emergency tube, delayed train, run across Stansted airport.) It was going to be WH Smith or Ryanair prices so I went for the lesser of two evils as I didn't have time to go hunting for a water fountain (We had the empty bottles with us for the MSE way)
Food all over the place, and no exercise as it was too hot.
Gratitudes:
1) Family. Lovely seeing parents, sister, Aunts, Uncles and a cousin who we managed to spring from lock-up for a few hours (she's been sectioned)
2) The verger and choir mistress at my childhood church recognising me (I stopped being a regular attendee over 20 years ago when I went to university and have only been back 2 or 3 times since - once to get married 13years ago)
3) Glorious weather. Even if it did leave me comatose most of yesterday. I think the last 2 weeks of running on adrenaline finally caught up with me - I slept 11pm Friday to 3am Saturday, 9-11 Sat, 5-7 Saturday and then 9.30pm to 10 am this morning:rotfl:
4) DH for making the trip with me despite having loads of other things to do. He's currently writing this weeks surgery rotas:eek:
Right. Going to bed. Hopefully I can get back onto an even keel this week.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I completely forgot to update yesterday. I had to spend on the Dartford crossing so didn't manage a NSD but no other spends despite the warmth!
Came back from my parents' quite early and did some chores, then sat in the garden for a bit. Went horse riding in the evening once it had cooled down and it was LOVELY. We stayed in walk as it was too hot for anything more than that so it wasn't strenuous but you still burn calories in walk! (contrary to what my mum thinks - she reckons you're just sitting there the whole time regardless :rotfl:).
Today should be a NSD, going to get dressed and go for a walk before work too.0 -
I'm dying under a pile of marking, the heat and the anxiety monster trying to get me. It's a bit of a fight at the moment but I'm not giving up. I'll get back on track and be fine once I have a good night's sleep I think.
Sorry I'm not more involved here this month but June is always a bit of a killer for me.Not giving up

Hang in there, ccl!
Today I am grateful for having the foresight to freeze a bottle of water to take to work; for still getting to work on time despite a tall lorry trying to go under a short bridge and realising too late he wouldn't manage it; for getting in plenty of walking; for cold water to sit in; for people on the buses still being polite as we all slowly roast, for my gorgeous dd; for dh digging my water bottle out of my bag and filling it and putting it in the freezer for me; for ham and salad for tea; for working with some lovely people; for dh getting his teeth sorted.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
