So, although I failed in some aspects this month I am also pretty p,eased with myself in others.

I have managed 12/12 NSD which is a massive thing for me. I've also lost a 1lb. Not loads - but it's better than a gain.

Although my spends have not been good I am not in my overdraft - the joint is not in an overdraft and I've set a new budget going forward to help build this back up.

All in all I am happy with how things have gone. I can do better, but I think being positive about what did go right is better than any negative. I might feel disappointed but I have to reminder the wedding fund is growing every month. We are saving £400 a month - it is difficult but it will be worth it!

Today I am grateful for cake morning at work - although is doesn't help the weight loss goals! It was nice and relaxed and I'm feeling good about that.
February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
NST no. NSD 4/15

Hi everyone, work done, 5 mile run completed and dinner digesting, time to recap the month.

Junes Joys:
NSD's Was hoping for 20, but I think I did really well with 16 (reached today)
Pay towards your debt first Only thing I owe now is the money Mum loaned to me towards the house deposit. I'm going to start paying her back £100 a month starting in August, although I have been putting money aside in my ISA. Most of which will probably be eaten up in moving costs (and carpet/lino replacement from the naughty pup)
Set your budgets now I think I did okay here, I spent £213.34 in non-essentials this month, however £100 of that was a tattoo, £33.40 was holiday spends, £25 was my Personal Trainer, and £21 was a takeaway. That leaves just under £35.00 in bits & pieces.
3 exercise sessions a week I think I smashed this goal, I'm now running regularly and back at the gym.
Extra fitness session I was aiming for 10,000 steps a day. I didn't manage it everyday, but by the end of the week it averaged out to around 10,000 so I'm pleased with that. I've done 15,000 today!
Plan your outings Only unplanned outing was a day trip up to see my bro.

Reject consumerism I honestly think I;ve only had the one impulse buy this month, which was the takeaway. (Holiday Icecreams not included) Apart from that the closest I got was seeing a little wooden chest (one of those paint it yourself things) and I bought it to paint up for my brothers birthday.

2017 aims:
Lose weight
Since the beginning of the year I have lost 18.6lbs, this month I lost 9.4lbs, which is more than my 1lbs a week target!

Definitely a win here
Buy a house
We are so close. The only thing outstanding is that the seller is still in the property. She is desperately searching for a rental flat to move into (that will allow her dog) and everything is waiting on her. Once she is out, we should be in!

I'm drawing a veil over this month. It could have been worse. Spending was over budget for groceries and Fat/Unnecessary was horrific. I paid legal fees and my professional fine out of savings.

Exercise was a bit of a disaster and my eating was totally off the wall. I start again tomorrow.

Gratitude:

1) DH doesn't blame me for last weekend, and his hand is improving.
2) I have a job to start in a couple of weeks
3) Tomorrow is a new day.
Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

Checking in before the month is over.
Positives:
exceeded target of 12 NSDs, underspend of the grocery budget and getting through the various visits, medical appointments and meeting of deadlines.
Require improvement:
posting updates during the month, exercise / healthy eating, overspend in a couple of areas that needs to be better planned for the future.
Thank you apple muncher for running the challenge and for everyone's posts.
Heading over to sign up for July.

Went with mum to the classic film - High Society. Chatted with the man next to me, it was his first time. His father was a projectionist and his mother an usherette. His father died when he was five and after a short spell doing war work sewing parachutes in Birmingham, his mother came back to Manchester and the cinemas. The films were changed 3 times a week and he went to them all (sneaked in at the back when his mother was working).

Ended well by filing my tax return, paying voluntary NI contributions for the year (that gives me 35 years contributions = full state pension), applied for Carer's Allowance and renewed my Working Tax Credits claim. I was going to tell them about the Carer's Allowance (I will only get the difference between the two) but it said tell them when you receive a different benefit, so wrote a note to me for when that happens.

Today I am grateful for having fun with mum (my film has been put back till next week so time to recover), for an interesting chat and for dealing with the paperwork.

Thank you so much for the thread apple.

Finished the month on 14/16 NSDs. Exercise 6/12 although pretty pleased with that as I was ill for a week at the start of the month and the last 2 weeks at work have been so busy that I've barely done anything. Achieved at least 12,000 steps everyday though :D

Thanks for running June apple.

Thanks apple muncher for Junes challenge :T:j

NSD’s – I am going to aim for 15 Managed 14

Debts - My aim is to pay £3k off this year so need to work out how much per month I need to pay and then just do it. – put £100 into a monthly saver (which is why things were tight and I had to take back from some savings pots)

Budgets – Food is £350 – overspent slightly on this, need to do a big shop once a month instead of lots of smaller ones., Petrol - £120 – overspent as collected son from Uni plus it was a 5 week month., Bills - £980 – within budget!!., Household - £40 – still got a small amount left,. Animals - £200 – have some of this left but it just carries forward to next month.. Misc spends - £30 – this ended up being much more as paid deposit for girls weekend, had meal out etc(need to sort my budget out and get stricter- she says after she agreed to buy a 2nd hand ride on mower!!)

Exercise – WHHHAAATTTT??? Does dog walking count or not??? Have walked every day – hope that’s ok!!!

Plan – I have 2 nights out planned so far but will need to arrange with my bestie to meet up plus need my eyebrows done. – all went to plan, no extra outings.
