Hi everyone :wave:
Glad to hear from you Ziggy. Best wishes to your OH. He looked well in his FB pic
I was a bit of a crazy lady today and cried in my appraisal when my boss asked how things were at home.I knew he was going to ask as I took a day's emergency leave a couple of weeks ago. I thought I was well prepared for answering (had rehearsed a 'yes, things are ok, just trying to not do too much and relax as much as we can'...) but as soon as he asked I felt tears welling up and couldn't get the words out... Think he's got the impression now that I don't want to talk about personal things - think I scared him off and he'll never ask again. Eek, cringe!
I've hired a car this weekend (from this eve - need to pick it up soon) as OH is away from tomorrow morning. I bought car hire excess insurance online for £2.99 a day rather than extortionate car hire place prices.
Need to sort YNAB - pay day yesterday and lots of bills come out today.
Just having a quiet night tonight.. Eating leftovers, watching TV, reading free ebook...
OH had an interview today for a permanent job. Fingers crossed.0 -

Morning
La E I feel your pain as I am having a work related melt down and am a little embarrassed
crying yesterday to my manager because of the pressure I'm under. and while she was supportive the answer was I need to do more work! Today I am working, then directly from that canvassing, then pick up dgd, get her home and to bed and then I'll have to work for a couple of hours
Next week not set to ease up. But hopefully the week after it will. Worked last night for just over an hour
Can't imagine there's time for any money saving activities today but:
* hang out washing
* make a sandwich, drink and fruit will be out of the office for most of the day
* take madam to cm's before going to work
* pay last installment of this month's cc
* made madam lunch - really scrapping the barrel as have had no time to make anything or shop properly
* hang out washing & water plants
* quick shower
* pick up nappies & some sweets for madam while out
that's all. Thank goodness it's Friday!DF as at 30/12/16

-All washing dried outside yesterday so just a few bits to do over the weekend.
-put together a box of items for taking away, condiments tea and coffee

good news and bad news this morning, our FTC has gone down by half as my income has increased slightly. Swings and roundabouts.
I've also had a bid on our massive dining table and 8 chairs so thats going to sell. It's too big for us and the funds will be used for finishing some jobs in the kitchen.

Morning all :coffee:
Lots of love and hugs to all that need :grouphug: LaE - hope you're doing ok, you sound as though you need a break. DNMS - hope work goes as well as it can.
I'm marginally pleased to have woken up to rain this morning because it will give my poor sunburn a rest and I won't need to completely cover up in the boiling weather.
Not a nsd for me as ds and I have a hair appointment first thing, and we're also looking after bestie's son as she's had to go into work today. The good news is that they will keep each other entertained while I continue with the exam marking.
Plans for today are to get caught up on marking. I've had a lovely few days off but I really need to get back to it now. NSD other than the hair appointment. Minimal housework.
Oh, and HK - may I be among the first to congratulate you on being debt freeNot giving up

Morning all
Nice and sunny here today, though a bit of rain forecast for later.
Today's plans look like this:
Load of washing in, will hopefully be able to dry it outsideDone, got it in just as it started to rain!
Freecycle lady coming this morning for some excess cucumber plantsDone, it was nice because she knows my daughter, used to work at the same place. Small world
Look out info, receipt etc for our huge and heavy tent, with a view to selling it. OH bought this a couple of years ago, and we have used it twiceIt was expensive too, serves me right for letting him go out and buy one on his own while I was at work
It is great when up, loads of space, and really solid with integral poles, but it weighs a tonne and takes up loads of space to store. Might enable a family to have a cheap holiday though, or if they look after it properly, many years of cheap holidays
Sold it :j:j:j Got £80, and my understairs cleaning cupboard back
Go to sales unit, as takings from April are available now :jTake a box of stock with me, in the hope that there are spaces on the shelvesDone, managed to fit all the items I took with me in
Buy bread and a couple of other bits while out, Iceland I think! Done
Ironing :eek: Done :A
Water pots in front garden Done
Sort out spare bedroom, as my brother is coming to stay for the weekend :cool: Done
HM meals, got bits out of the freezer for a BBQ later, weather permittingBrother turned up with a takeaway, so BBQ food tomorrow instead,
Dog walk laterOH did both today
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Morning everyone,
Lots of work stress going on by the sounds of things. Hang in there La E and Determined :grouphug:
Where are you off to Julie? Bet it will be a lovely break away
First nights sleep report on the FitBit showed I was awake for 1hr 3m, in REM for 1hr 59m, Light sleep for 4hr 50m and deep sleep for 47m.
I guess that's better than being awake all night but I do wish I had more deep sleep.
Glad it's Friday :T Today's list;
* Walk to shops instead of taking car, need to return some parcels
* Use up some of the sorry looking mushrooms for breakfast
* All meals from home
* Complete surveys...not sure I'll hit the £25 payout today but I'll try
* Home workout in around lunchtime
* Use the charity bag as bin liner in kitchen
* Check on Ebay items I've listed for sale
Enjoy your Friday0 -

Afternoon all!
I had a bit of a result at the small Mr T last night, I knew I was going to miss final reductions as I needed to go to the big one (which has booger all in the way of reductions) but I popped in anyway prepared to pay whatever the interim price was if there was anything good there. I found some fresh cod in breadcrumbs and some extra lean mince that hadn't yet been stickered at all despite being in the YS cabinet and the lovely lady on the till reduced them by 90% for me (even though I pointed out it was too early as I didn't want her to get into trouble.)
So, 31p breaded cod fillets for dinner tonight! I brought in breakfast and lunch from home, I was up and ready a little earlier than usual so watered the veggies and made myself a cup of tea. I bought a huge pack of insulated cups for the soft play venture so I broke out one of those and took my tea on the train with me. Not money saving as I usually have my first cup of the day at work but made a nice treat
My new (to me) sofa is being delivered tomorrow, it seems ages since I bought it as the sellers have been on holiday. I will take the chance to wash the floor while the room is sans sofa so it's nice and clean in there when it arrives. I also need to tidy up all the offcuts from DS's latest craft project.
I might move an armchair up to my bedroom to put 'stuff' on though that might be asking for trouble :rotfl: If it doesn't work I might sell it, I bought it for a bargainous 16 pounds so I'm pretty sure I will get my money back!
The courgettes are enormous, is there anything you can do with the leaves? They look really big and healthy! Auby's flowers haven't opened yet but he looks tiny by comparison, I thought last night I could see another three flower buds but I think they might be just new leaves. My (supposedly) trailing cherry tomatoes that I planted in wall baskets are looking decidedly upright and for the second year running I have failed to grow night scented stocks from seed which is quite a feat. I think the spray from the hosepipe breaks the little seedlings
Why do people plant strawberries in strawberry planters? Is it to do with drainage or pests or just getting more strawberries in your space? I'm thinking I could slip a couple of grow bags inside one of the pallets then prop it up against the wall and cut slits between the slats to grow some? I have wild strawberries which are growing like mad but the fruits are tiny.
DNMS, slow down, I feel exhausted just reading how much stuff you pack into a day!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100
