Afternoon all, I've been at a boot sale all morning and have only just read the news, this was one of the reasons I wanted to work locally and bin the commute, I already avoid the most crowded tube station near work.
Thanks for link Ally
I didn't get much of an early night as I couldn't sleep but still managed to get up in time for the boot sale. It was a perfect day for it really, sunny but cloudy so the crowds came out but there was some respite.
After fees I made £49.80 profit, I'd have liked it to be more but it's better than a poke in the eye and I got rid of a load of carp. I donated two boxes of unsold stuff to the stall holder next to me and brought home just one box and a few children's sit and ride toys.
DS is getting worse, his tonsils are covered in white spots so I'm going to get him to the doctor in the morning to get some antibiotics. I had my tonsils out as a child as I regularly got tonsillitis but this is the first time his have really bothered him.
I'm taking my mum to bingo tonight, hope we win againI'm absolutely knackered after standing/bending etc for five hours, I'd rather go to bed!

Hello Sunday Savers,
Day out in Derbyshire using our annual passes. Treated ourselves to breakfast & coffee plus an ice-cream later, but all paid for using our June personal spends so zero effect on budget.
Took flask of coffee & picnic for our lunch.
Free fitness doing lovely walk & I will defo have achieved 10,000 steps by tonight.
Dinner will be some of the cold spicy chicken mr f cooked yesterday with salad mostly from the garden & his nice home made jacket wedges.
Will be setting washing machine timer for cheap overnight laundry.
Watered veggie garden and picked 2 more cucumbers & some wasabi rocket.
Defrosted soup for tomorrow's packed lunch.
Synchronised our diaries so we are organised for the week ahead esp. with things like when packed lunches are needed, who needs the car on which days, etc.....v dull but being v organised always saves us money.
Knit more of friend's sock.
Finish library book & decide on next book to read.....plenty of charity shop book finds waiting on book shelf so no spending required.
Discussed £6 energy bill monthly dd rise with mr f & decided on a plan.
And that was my day.

Ziggy - That's amazing about mr Z being allowed home so soon. They must think he's doing well. Take care both of you! x
La E - No need to spend money on straw!! Just chuck a layer of twiggy bits into the bottom of your compost bin. If you are twig-less, then rip a bit of cardboard up & use that instead. No need to spend any money on composting apart from the bin itself x
FVD - A significant wodge of my pre-LBM debt came from my garden centre habit. If I'm feeling like a bit of a confessional later in the week, I'll maybe post up a sample of the kind of visits that used to go on......often on a weekly basis. DS was craving KFC and, as he's poorly, I went into town to get it for him and then went along to the YS run afterwards. Reductions were back to 90% off again and I got sandwiches for us both tomorrow, a pack of mixed berries, a pack of kiwi fruits and some mushrooms.
A significant portion of my boot sale money will be going on a cab for DS to get to the GP tomorrow. He is too ill to do the long walk from the station to the surgery (I've not changed our GP since we moved) though I might ask if his friend that drives is able to take him if I pay him some petrol money. Originally I was thinking I would take the morning off to go with him but it works out cheaper to pay for a cab than lose half a day's pay.
I could google our nearest GP and see if they will see him too...Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
