More horrible news overnight. Thinking of all those affected.

Didn't get on yesterday, other than to read late on as we had a long day out visiting a place with our annual passes a fair drive away. Was fantastic and we'll definitely go back. Took a picnic that did us all day. Just bought 2 hotdogs, 1 ice cream and a bottle of water (although we later found a water fountain and filled our reuseable bottle we took and will head there next time). Ok, so we could have not bought these but came from treat money.

    Today:
    Run for excercise
    Make a cake
Make a pudding as we have visitors
Cooking a chicken and veg for us all for lunch, will put carcass in sc. have some manky veg that I froze before that will get chucked in too
Go out for a walk with visitors
Early night tonight as it's been a long week
Although I may try and do some more work on my business accounts tonight so I can get tax return done asap so it's out of the way
Look for a small cheap chopper as the chopper attachment of my blender has broken through over use :o and I use it loads.
Soak some chickpeas for hummus tomorrow

    Enjoy your day peeps.

I don't know of anything you can do with courgette leaves FVD, I guess the plants need them to make courgettes!

    Found this FVD. (Link)

    Hi everyone

Things are just awful, aren't they? :(

Ziggy - glad to hear he's back home relaxing.
FVD - I hear ya on the garden centre trips - it's so easy to spend £100 in there without realising!!

I need to look into starting my garden composter as need to cut the grass today. I was thinking of buying a bag of straw to start it off so it's drier at the bottom rather than just grass there...but maybe I could use crushed up bits of cardboard/egg boxes so maybe I won't have to buy anything...

I'm hoping to take the dog to an arboretum today. I don't think I have any cash though and there is apparently an honesty box for the £2.50 fee - doesn't sound like the kind of place that will take cards or give change if I stop by the atm...

Started crocheting something last night to use up leftovers and then run out!! Now I need to buy more yarn to complete the use-up project and then I'll have more of that left... #crochetproblems

I've got a roast chicken (in-a-bag type) defrosting... Taking my life in my hands as it says 'not suitable for freezing' and it's been in the freezer since last week. :p I've googled it and it's potentially the packaging or stuffing that isn't suitable for freezing so I'm going to chance it - as long as I dispose of the packaging with the evidence before OH gets home :rotfl:

Need to take car hire back this eve - let's hope I don't waste another 90min of my life!

Hope you have a good day.

    Hi June Joy-Seekers

Poor London. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jittery about going to England on business next week. I know the risk is small....

Morning all , another sunny day

Fatvond I am a business seller so I can't advertise through my shop and accept cash. It's a massive no no, very easy to have your shop suspended or closed. I made it very clear in the listing. If anyone pays through Paypal and buys from a business seller then they are covered by the ebay guarantee. Which means I have to give a refund for up to 30 days after the sale. All my messages go through ebay so its very clear they are going to collect the item, my address is there etc so its very safe for the buyer if they want to get their money back, and it's not worth me risking my income to pocket the cash. In the end they were lovely, but turned up in a fiesta  managed to somehow get the chairs in but we are left with the table for a week whilst they organise transport.

Already have a wash in this morning and will peg out shortly. Last few bits we need to take away.
Each couple is cooking so we will all take the makings of a meal. Im doing a curry so will organise the bits for that today.
Had a lovely girly day out yesterday with my friend. Not something I do very often so it was lovely trying on shoes etc. She spent an absolute fortune on two tops and a pair of shoes. I made her call in the charity shop with me were I picked up a lovely Next pale pink linen cardigan, new with tags for £6;)
Otherwise just a pottering day getting the car and suitcase organised.
    Have a great Sunday x

    Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is safe after last nights terrifying news. I'm in London and this stuff worries the heck out of me. I have a night out in central London on Thursday so I'm already feeling anxious about it :( We shouldn't have to feel worried about going out and enjoying ourselves.

I didn't get on yesterday as I was busy attending a Fitness seminar. It was great fun. I didn't intend on spending any money and had taken a prepared packed lunch with me but I really fancied a coffee and it cost me £3.50 in the hotel!!

Today will be a NSD. Tasks are:

    * Hoover downstairs and dust and tidy
    * Complete surveys
    * One load of washing and dry outside
    * Ironing later....kids back to school tomorrow
    * Make shopping list and meal list
    * Go for an evening walk with DH

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone x

    Morning all :coffee:
Love and hugs to all that need - it's a terrible time at the moment. I'm going to London for work in a couple of weeks and starting to fret about it. I know it's ridiculous but it's really no good for someone with anxiety.
So, just me and the kids today - dh has gone out on his own to the Lake District. Hope he enjoys it. I have a day of exam marking ahead and not a lot else. Bit of tv and a walk to get my daily vitamin D and a bit of exercise.
Ziggy - pleased your DH is home and on the road to recovery.
FvD - you and your garden centre habit sounds the same as me and my wool habit :o
