Morning all,
Twins Thanks for the heads up on claiming back PPI , I'm going to have a go.
My DD came back from her honeymoon yesterday with a gorgeous new plant for the garden so I shall plant that this morning.
The garden is looking lush, so green as we've had a couple of days of rain and then glorious sunshine this morning.
I worked so hard yesterday , loads and loads of parcels going out on ebay and managed to list all of my new stock. Didn't finish until 8 last night so going to have a more restful day today.
Plans include
-check the bank
-have a look at the PPI claim forms
-Add another £2 to the tin
-Pull out mince beef for tonights tea, lasagne
-A nice long hot shower this morning and blow my hair.
-Post our postal votes
-start thinking about our holiday next week and put together some basics to take with us
-Still no response from any of the creditors
Have a good day all x
Good luck with the PPI! I wish we had saved that cash but stupidly we spent itIf I did it now I certainly would have thrown it at the debts.
As for response from the creditors, same here! I think I've only heard from 2 of them and nothing from the rest. Sainsbury's bank called me this morning said they'd accept my reduced payment agreement for 3 months but I have to call them back in July to arrange to pay them more... sounds so stupid! Hope you get some responses soon0 -
Morning all,
A few bits of money-saving today, but have woken up a bit headachey so as I have to go out to a meeting tonight, I think I shall work on feeling a bit more lively.....there's always tomorrow for the rest of my jobs. So, today:
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
*Let hair dry naturally to save a bit of electricity......haven't used straighteners either, so will probably have to tie it up later with one of my '20 for a £1' hair toggles.
*Froze the chicken stock I made yesterday.
*Defrosted home made pesto for tonight's pasta bake. It was right at the back of the top compartment.....made from last summer's basil....thought we'd eaten it all.
*Planted out another 4 trays of bedding plants grown from free seeds.
*Pull last of the radishes to free up trough for planting next lot.
*Watered veggies.
*£5 giftcard from Sainsbury's in resolution of complaint.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Finish friend's sock....didn't quite manage this yesterday because I can't knit & watch subtitles, but it will be done today as just have about another 6 rows to do of the toe, then can cast off.
*Use-it-up......avocado & 2 'getting soft' peaches, which will be incorporated into my lunch.
*Last laundry of the week pegged out on line to dry in the sunshine.
*mr f is dropping me in town for my meeting & picking me up......it would only be £1 to park this time of night, but all those meetings add up into a lot of ££s over a year, so this works for us.
*All free leisure today - reading library book, finishing audiobook & I've updated my blog.
Sending positive vibes to all in need of a bit of super-special positivity today.....which sounds like quite a few of us!

Happy Wednesday all.... although sounds like a lot of us are going through some tough moments right now. Hoping everything starts getting better for all concerned.
It's a WFH day today and I've got to turn around some slides in 2 hours to the boss and present to her. I don't even have the content yet and am supposed to deliver her the results later today  Stuff like this makes me so anxious but if she's not happy I'll just tell her that her deadline was un-realistic.
I read some of Martin's newsletter last night and saw the tip on downloading the free kindle books. Only problem is that the Prime account is in DH's name and the kindle is in mine so it doesn't transfer the purchases. I think I'm going to deactivate the kindle in my name and put it in his then I can download free books and magazines to my hearts content :rotfl:
Today's list:
* Complete surveys on Swags. I'm close to the £25 payout. I think by the end of the week I should have made enough swag points
* Check banking
* Keep an eye on a item I've got on watch on eBay...some curling tongs for DD
* Persuaded DD to just wear one of my outfits for Prom instead of buying a new one. She tried it one and it just needs a small adjustment under the arms which I'll get my SIL to do for free. That's a lot of money saved right there :T Just need to sort DS out now. Probably need new trousers and shoes
* Running low on veg, might have to pop out and buy some
* All other meals from home
* Get in a workout at home around lunchtime
* Put one wash on and hopefully hang outside to dry
Have a good day all!0 -
Good Morning All
DH's op went well and he's doing great, yesterday was a long day. He went into theatre at 8am, we saw him at 7pm and his breathing tube had been removed and he was breathing on his own and didn't need intensive care, managed to speak to him this morning and he's tired and achey (understandably, lol) but was sat in a chair and had had his breakfast - so making fabulous progress. Today's plans:
Check Bank & make PAD - Done
Visiting DH -
Continue purge on emails -
Enter a few comps -
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer -
Check: Lucky Phone, Ashleigh, Numberplatelotto, FPL -
Have a great day all!

Hi everyone
Ahhh, Ithis little thread...
Twins - yeah, you defo should re-register your kindle as your OH. I don't think I'll ever buy a book again. It's v good.
Not much happening mse-wise today...
It's pay day at least - checked banking and YNAB when I couldn't sleep at 4am so at least that was one thing ticked off my list.
Made overnight oats - was v happy with them as didn't have time to make any breakfast this morning.
Didn't make lunch - am getting lazy with this!!
Got an email about postal surveys due to start that next week but I'm not sure I can be bothered...
Looked for holidays but didn't book anything
Looked for good activities/dog walks to go when we are on the holiday we've booked0 -
Ziggy - so pleased your dh had his op and is doing so well :j
HK - I remember feeling flat for a few weeks after I finished my dmp. I think because I'd looked forward to it for so long, then the day arrived, and I didn't quite believe it all. I did feel a lot more happy about it after a while though. I think that's quite a normal thing to be honest.
We're home from a fantastic couple of days away, but I am really tired and really skint already. Good job I had saved some spends for it all. I'm having an early night tonight in the hope of getting up and making a good start all refreshed in the morning.

Ziggy, glad it all went well for your DH, must be a huge weight off your mind
CCL, those sort of trips are the things memories are made of so worth things being a little tight for.
I did the YS run tonight, the first time I've bothered in a good few days. I managed to get two packs of organic strawberries, a pack of 4 finest peaches, organic tomatoes, spinach and pine nut pasta and a wrap.
I reheated leftover lamb and mashed potato for DS for dinner but just ate strawberries myself (obviously he has strawberries for pudding, I didn't eat them ALL myself!)
This isn't moneysaving at all but I've taken to feeding the cats on value paper plates, it's two less things to worry about washing up and I can just chuck them in the bin as soon as they're done rather than have smelly cat food hanging around all day while I'm at work (especially now the weather is warmer.)
I've watered the garden and remembered to put the bins out (the bank holiday threw me a little, thankfully I remembered just in time!)
Hope you're all having a good eveningMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Morning
beautiful day ahead
ziggy so glad your dh's op went ahead and he's recovering well. What a relief for you all x
Work today and I have so much on at the moment. The way the bh's have fallen with my part time hours I have lost a lot of hours this month. Weird being pt bh's aren't such a good thing! I'm meeting with my manager today to talk about my clients so hopefully the anxiety I'm feeling will fade....
things to do:
* make lunches
* all meals from stores
* quick shower
* make note of mileage & do expenses
* I've been out and watered plants, will do this same this evening
* oh has agreed to do the leafleting tonight so I have a night off :j
* need to pick up some oat milk mmmmm will look on mysupermarket to see if anyone has it on offer
* need to make sure my cc payments are all made. There's just oh's contribution
* check banking - might do that now
* do house ins quote - must do it as it's due for renewal in the next couple of days!
That'll do. Have a good day guys xDF as at 30/12/16
