Hi May Marvellousos,
Oh gosh, I have a huge non-money-related personal problem at the moment that I'm working through. :embarasse It's going to get worse before it gets better I think. If I go off-grid I'll be back when it's sorted.
Good luck Ziggy.
Anyway, trying to distract myself with DFW-style pursuits.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:
* DW has been gardening with gusto. Flowers and veg a plenty.
* Keeping an eye on Broadband Allowance.
* June budget is prepared. Should be ok.
* Having trouble selling stamps on eBay which is most unusual. Have lowered the price for a quicker sale.
* Staying in today and not spending much.
* Turning power off Broadband box and alarm clock when not in use.
* Giving up on Quidco. Whenever I use it my request gets declined and I have to jump through hoops to prove I've made the purchase and get the cashback. Going to TopCashBack instead.

Fingers crossed, Ziggy, and hope it's soon sorted, Ally
I slept quite late this morning on account of staying up until the wee, small hours watching all three episodes of Three Girls. I awoke to a text from DS asking me to buy him a glue gun as he has been up all night crafting a Star Wars mask from some leftover E V A foam squares. Luckily I got one free from work ages ago and gave it to my mum who hasn't used it so I will run round later and borrow it back.
The last load of washing has been done, it just all needs putting away but my bedroom is looking fairly clear in readiness. I've changed the bed linen, hoovered and feel I am up to the task!
I have uploaded six things to eBay, fingers crossed that some, if not all of them, sell. I gave up on ironing a couple of vintage cotton tablecloths, they will either need to go to the ironing lady or the charity shop.
The lamb is out of the freezer and defrosting for later and I already have everything else to go with it. I do need to do a small shop though as we're out of butter and cheese plus I noticed there is a big batch of raspberries with an end date of today that should be getting reduced later

Hi gang
Thanks for the kick start DNMS - good for you on the job front!
Ally - I hear ya sister :grouphug:
Ziggy - I'll be thinking about you and yours - hope all goes well :grouphug:
We got back from our family holiday on Friday and then my parents came over for the weekend - I am family-ed out. It's been a bit tough as we haven't told them about the problemos we've been having and OH and I have been on a total short fuse with everyone.
Anyway, that's it all over and done with - no more family week-long holidays for us for a good while!!!
Today I'm just catching up around the house - washing, drying, cleaning...
We took the dog out a walk - free exercise in nature is always the answer
Catching up with TV and free ebook.
Need to check YNAB/banking - overspent on hols so had to take some money from our Christmas savings and 'emergency piggy' (not that it was an emergency at all!)
I bought a 1 tonne hippo bag for all our garden waste and I'm going to KM lots and lots this week - v exciting. They then sort all your waste so you can put all recycling into it as well. :T
OH is away this weekend so I've hired a car - cost me £9!!!! Crazy! Much cheaper than running a second car all the time. I'll also buy car hire excess insurance online for £2.99 a day - not the crazy prices they offer you at the counter.
Anyway, sorry for the brain dump!! Catch up soon!0 -
Those Hippo bags are a brilliant invention, aren't they La E? I think someone else on here (Ally?) mentioned them way back when I was looking at skip prices.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I do feel a lot brighter FvD - amazing what a decent sleep and a break from work can do
Ally - hope that you're ok :grouphug:
I've done all the exam marking that I can manage for today. Have also done a massive grocery shop at Mr S. I've done no housework, no packing and no crochet though - so I'm going to start that now.Not giving up

Evening all,
Hope you've had a good BH. A normal work day for us, the joys of being self employed. I wouldn't change it though.
Today I've
-added another £2 to the savings tin
-Wrote a a meal plan and done a food shop at Aldi, with just a couple of bits from Tesco.
-Been out buying today, loads of posting ready for tomorrow
-Filled in my postal vote as we are away that week, didn't want to miss voting
-Spent a long time Stock taking and reorganising storage
It's been wet here today, but the garden enjoyed it.
I'm feeling really tired. We had DGD at the weekend and not very much sleep so I'm still catching up
Ziggy really hope it all goes well tomorrow.
Have a good evening all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Roast dinner all cooked and eaten, just lying down to let it digest before washing up! I used some Rosemary from my herbs for the lamb and made my own mint sauce, I'll just have a row of twigs soon at this rate :rotfl:
I've listed a couple more things to sell and later I'm going to fill in a PPI claim form with one of the companies that take a percentage which doesn't sound very wise but I haven't done it thus far and won't before the end of August and 100% of nothing is nothing.
PS I bought a pair of pretend Birkenst0cks for the summer and it hasn't stopped raining since :rotfl:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
