HI I think that when we've been under an enormous amount of pressure, and the pressure is then lifted, as yours has been with the extra money, then our body and mind reacts as it wasn't allowed to while it was all going on. You HAD to keep going but now you can relax a bit and it's all hitting you at once. You've been through enough to break most people, and have the emotional hurt of a relationship breakup to cope with as well. I think what you're going through now is a normal reaction to it all, but try to be kind to yourself. If you need to cry, do so, If you need to vent, do so (people on here will understand I'm sure) It's like getting over an illness, it takes time, but it WILL pass.
Thinking about you and sending ((hugs)) XXHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Thank for all the replies, as you've probably guessed still struggling
Have started on my September goals  September already!
From next week money will be extra tight. Income support stops next Friday and I won't receive my first wage until 18th October! So I don't think there will be much movement next month in anything!
Spent the last of the Amazon vouchers on the mattress protectors and some DVD's for the girls. I'm hoping it will be completely finished by this time next week then I can start on DS! After his it will just be basic freshening up elsewhere in the house while I save for Xmas/our caravan week away. Then my room probably after Xmas but that isn't really important.
No meal plan, we have loads in and too choose from and no shopping will be done this week.
The road is still closed from the burst water main and it means the traffic on our road has been horrendous at all hours! It doesn't look like it will be repaired anytime soon.
My mum had some unexpected results from some tests so we've spent quite a bit of time with her. We might not see eye to eye and have our issues, but I'll only ever have one mum. I don't want the same regrets I have from when my Dad passed away.0 -

Sorry to hear about your mum HI.
That's a long time between payments, seems to have stopped really early. Have you looked into what will continue, council tax, housing benefit? I'm sure that you will do fantastic between the switch over though.

Hey sugar, I hope you're ok. Bless you, everything seems to be coming at once for you. You're right, you do only get one mum and good for you for realising, I'm sure you'll be s source of kindness and strength should she need it. Well done on the debt payments, but ray per rubbish re the other payments stopping. But knowing how you cope and what you're capable of, you'll make it through unscathed. I know I keep saying it, but you truly are my inspiration, I have learned so much from you, and would love to have your drive and spirit. Keep your chin up, you're so much more than amazing. X0

Well done on achieving so much with your goals for August. Really impressed with the 11 free days out. Re the rent arrears, will the ex not be liable for half, thereby reducing your liability?paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Sorry to hear your Mum's results were adverse. You are right about making sure you spend time with her. My Mum is over 400 miles from me and has always enjoyed excellent health and fitness until late last year. I've been going up regularly to visit/look after her/spend time with her this year. My Dad went so quickly when he was ill, a matter of six weeks (many years ago now) - so important to be there as much as possible.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I'm pretty sure my mum will be okay long term. However it was/is definitely a wake up call on past is past and I have to learn to forgive and forget I guess.
I start work on the 4th September, although I don't actually go in until the 5th. My kids go back on the 4th though so I'll get to do the first school run and pick up with youngest. I really don't want her to goI'm sure the feelings mutual and she keeps protesting she is not big and she is NOT going to school :rotfl:
Nothing much planned today, have cleaned outside and the bins. Such a delightful jobAlthough to be fair mine are never 'dirty' as far as bins go and everyone comments on it
 Glad I can be someone else's amusement.
Formula 1 weekend so will be watching of course. Will take the time and use it wisely though, meal planning and ironing.
I don't think I have much else to sayPretty rubbish update really
