Hi hidden, when I read that your kids were playing happily before, mine were about to kill each other! How do you get them to play so well together? I'm 400 miles from my mum and missed her no nonsense approach today :(

Oh they have their moments! I'm quite lucky really the older two play lovely together apart from the odd disagreement to be expected by an 8 and 6 year old.

Youngest is erm annoying :rotfl: I think its because she's at the age she wants to do what they do but most of it she can't do as 'well' and the other two get fed up of having to let her 'win' sometimes etc.

Saying that the majority of the time they do get on and are nice. If you throw friends into the mix though it does cause fall outs over who plays with who etc.

We've always taken turns in who chooses what to play and set a time (DS and DD are just under 2 years apart so it was needed when they where small and it's stuck. So say DD wants do 1 game and DS wants to do something else. They do the first thing for a set time then move on to the second to make it fair

Thanks hidden I'll try the different activities thing for a set time. The majority of the time mine are ok (24month difference) but sometimes they just seem to want to fight, no matter what I do! Hope you enjoyed your relaxing day.

    Lovely weather again today :D

Kids making the most of playing with friends outside. So I have got my jobs done and sat in the garden now with a cup of tea ;) Miss coffee so much :rotfl:

Have been offered the caravan for the weekend of the 8th and have taken it. I know its not in the budget but it's only train fare I'll need to find unless I can get a life :p

Peace and quiet away from here is too tempting to pass on.

Will probably fit in Blackpool lights while we're already so much nearer. Depends on the budget.

Sounds good Hidden - a nice little break at the end of your first week at work. I've just finished reading your diary from the start so I'm all caught up now. You're doing amazingly well - brilliant!

  • Finally have caught up with you week. Sorry I haven't been on recently been have been sick all week. A lot has happened since I was last on. I really hope your mood has lifted and I agree that your diet will also play a big part in this....or lack of diet.

We all need a certain amount of calories in a day just to exist and then more on top of that to suit our lifestyle, age, gender etc which would maintain your weight. By the sound of your toast and coffee diet it does look as if you are getting enough calories just to exist which can play havoc on your moods. I definitely would not get a set of scales. They just provide a number and they say BMI is not even important. What is important is measurements and photos but I would say you should start with baby steps. Make sure you are having three meals a day even if they are small and I would not cut out carbs, Instead use complex carbs and bulk out your veg but I would not be afraid to have potatoes, just have less of them. You have lots of eggs, just them for lunches or make healthy pancakes for breakfast instead of toast. Look on pinterest for ideas and replace you baking for some sugar free, eat clean baking which you will find lots of recipes on pinterest. Although, they do be more expensive to make but something to think about when you are settled into work. And don't be afraid to have your coffee. You'll end up getting a headache with withdrawal symptoms. Just reduce your intake and replace some cups with herbal tea.

Just also wanted to say how amazing you are for reaching your goals this month. Well done you.

I also want to say I am sorry to hear about your mums health. Sometimes it takes us just to swallow our pride and make amends. I don't have issues with my mum but we are so alike we always cut each other off but lately I have been making sure I don't and give her time as I know there will come a time she will not be hear and I do dread that time. My dad is gone 10 years on the 11th Sept and my brother 2 years 2 weeks ago so know how it feels to loose someone close and doing my best to ensure I have no regrets.

Sorry I am blabbering now. :rotfl:
