You're making a mountain out of a molehill with all this talk of rollers and two men to move it, and how on earth do you think you'll be able to bet the rollers under the machine if it's that immovable?
I'm glad somebody mentioned it. Talk about being melodramatic!
OP, your thread title should be renamed "AO delivered washing machine to my room of choice and took away the waste, as they said they were going to."
Out of curiosity, does remove the waste include the transit bolts? Or is that part of installation? Now there's a fine line for you to think about :rotfl:0 -
Didn't have a chance. I was so taken aback by their refusal to push it under the counter and they left in such a hurry that I only realised that they'd left it blocking the door after they'd gone.
If they had, it would still have required connecting before use-so you'd have needed someone to pull it out again before connection.Sounds you were expecting a free install. If you want that, you should have bought from an independent shop.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
OP, you got what you have paid for.
Once I have ordered washing machine, but without installation. I wasn't sure about transporting bolts, so I asked delivery man and he explained me, what do I have to remove and I connected the machine myself.
Also, it is easier to move if you put old blanket or large towel underneath appliance and doesn't damage the floor.0 -

You get what you pay for.I expect to order an American fridge freezer sometime soon. When you say they removed the doors, do you mean the doors to the fridge, or to the houseI don't understand why people keep insisting they would have pushed it into place if I'd paid the connection fee.I've already had a friend put some plywood under the machine but he still couldn't shift it (he's not particularly strong but a lot more so than I), so I think I'm going to need the rollers but I'll probably get these ones from Screwfix as they're a bit sturdier than the Argos ones http://www.screwfix.com/p/appliance-steel-roller-set/391580

I don't have my kitchen door closed, ever. Nor does anyone else in my family. Indeed several of them don't even have a kitchen door. If you weren't getting ao to install it, you can't expect their driver to shove your w-machine into position when doing so might damage your floor.0

Just because someone doesn't explicitly say "I'm thinking of paying someone to..." that isn't reason to accuse them of lying about being disabled, unless you're just looking for any excuse to attack them or you get a kick out of having a go at disabled people.
I couldn't even carry the large boards myself, let alone install them and don't have room to store them either, even if I could get them delivered and carried up to my flat which no suppliers seem to do, so I'll have to get a builder to bring them to me and do the work.0 -

And..... "just because" nobody has called you a whinging, melodramatic, PITA, doesn't mean you aren't one0
