pack 1 4days electricity 25% discount. pack 2 5days electricity 5% discount.I believe that’s the lowest discount ever but I suppose it makes the 1st pack look good.1 -
I think your right sheps I’ve been struggling to buy enough packs to cover my increased usage in the lockdown and relying on future packsRegarding Equites new offer. As Powershop say “Our CHEAPEST prices are available to EVERYONE who shops “ and there are no exit fees you should be able to change to the cheapest tariff.Discounts should also be better as the new Top Shopper tariff needs an average 26% discount to achieve it compared with 21% on your old tariff.0

Why do people put up with all this faffing around to buy electricity for more than you can get it elsewhere? I pay 11.45p per kWh all day every day from Symbio, and their current offering is 10.7p per kWh.

Glad your happy with Symbio Talldave. Though they may be £21 a year cheaper than my Top Shopper rate l know they’ve been in trouble with a Final Order from Ofgem that has only just been lifted a week ago so too risky for me.2

Totally agree sheps. Future packs enable you to beat Top Shopper and it’s fun not faff.0

I agree that it's fun not faff! I'm now really quite far ahead in my payments. I'm now paid up to the start of December according to the app's projection.
I'm afraid that I'm too lazy to use spreadsheets to understand the pricing model in comparison to the market so I'm going to ask you nice folk:
Do you have a percentage cutoff when you buy packs?
When I signed up, I was advised to buy everything that is 20% under the baseline rate.
I have bought for a discount as little as 18% under which is probably why I'm so far ahead. Should I be a bit more selective? I pay about £70 for gas + electric in a cold month and £30 in a warmer one if that's any help.1 -
I am also well ahead, paid until early December. I only buy packs that look sensible, such as 18%+.2

Bicky Wicky Special Pack
Is really crappy wappy...
A laughable 14% discount for 3 days worth of electricity for this special pack. Dire month for discounts.1 -
Slightly better for me 3days at 25%. Summer is usually poor for discounts with powershop because of their policy of giving bigger discounts in winter when you need it most. At the moment I have to take almost all power packs till I’ve built up credit again. Unlike Hostage and neilsedaka and I don’t have the luxury of only buying “sensible 18%+ discounts” yet. However it’s worth remembering that powershop will refund on request any low discounted packs you don’t need.0
