Belated Happy Birthday! Good news that DD is recovering, and well done on the decluttering

What a lovely post - so many good things, especially you having a birthday and your DD's continued recovery.
Resisting the Wispa bar was still a victory, even though it didn't lead to a downward tend. You've had plenty to worry about so some gains are more likely, but you have made progress before and you will again. Meanwhile it's admirable that you've been out of your comfort zone and made some positive contacts. Never easy, but with hindsight, there are clearly positives for you.

Happy belated birthday from me too 🎂 Sounds as if you’ve had a lovely celebration. Glad you enjoyed some treats - you can concentrate on getting the lbs down the other 51 weeks of the year.
Pleased to hear Dd is on the men’s and she found somebody she trusted. It makes such a difference to find a medic that you trust 👍January spends - £587.583 -

many thanks for the birthday wishes, would anyone like a piece of cake? Despite dd”s best efforts, we still have some left.
Well, it is the first of April, two out of four major assignments were completed before year end while my final two meetings were at 5 o’clock and 7 o’clock yesterday. I am tired but also motivated to get cleared up and stay cleared up. Roughly 22% of my annual income was received in the last ten days so I’m contemplating adding a bit more to the pension pot although some spending money would be nice.
Yesterday I caught up with a friend for lunch. It was good to take a break from lunch and I think it helped.Today I am grateful for
A lovely if somewhat pricey lunch

Mm, cake - yes please! I am making lemon curd fairy cakes or, as the current generation says, 'cupcakes'. 😊
Well done for significant work progress, you are inspiring me to push on with all the bits of things I really need to get done.
I hope you got your fair share of your birthday cake?

Belated birthday wishes from me also🎂🍰, gets plate from the cupboard in anticipation of a slice of cake - hope I'm not too late. Lots of positives in the last couple of posts too and well done for venturing out of your comfort zone.

first off the good news, Ernie gifted me £175 and dh £75. We now owe our current account just over £1000 from the treat pot. This includes payment of a deposit for an October holiday. Lots of shopping was done yesterday with about £110 spent taking advantage of Easter grocery offers plus some routine items e.g. bleach.
The good news continued today as mr wii confirmed I am just back to being within by travelling 2lbs at 12 st 2. On other news, I continued to partially declutter one category of stuff in the house. I have decided that I can put the remainder back from where it came and repeat the sift at some other point. Some of this is quite emotional and time consuming so it’ll be done one bit at a time.DH and I had a money talk to work through some things for this year. We are putting a few thousand into a high interest isa on the understanding that any work done to the house will need to come from that.
the a$$hole ex really upset dd yesterday which, in turn, upset me. It’s a case though of what can’t be cured must be endured.
