well, the comfort eating caught up and I’m now 12st 3lb. This is what I weighed when I first joined a slimming club in 1988. It annoys me that I have lived well over half my life being uncomfortable with myself while damaging myself. In other news, year end keeps on coming with a request received last week for an additional piece of work to be completed and invoiced by 31st. That said, I had been grappling with an assignment for the last few weeks and it is starting to come together.
DD has been in pain all week and is struggling with the day to day. She’s back to the hospital tomorrow at ten so hopefully they’ll be able to put her mind at ease. I was also at hospital on Fri to be told that there’s yet another thing wrong with me. I’m trying to get my head around it not least because it’s not in any way linked to weight or sugar levels.Work beckons in terms of making hay while the sun shines. Today I am grateful for
Invoices being paid
Finding the right gift for someone from my hoard
Identifying two items to leave the house and four for dd

oh, one other thing to be grateful for is that I made my annual payment to my pension whenever markets were low this week instead of waiting right to the end of the tax year. Fingers crossed it’ll be to my benefit

Well done on the pension payment.
Hope DD gets some reassurance and you are ok with your issue.

Good work on the pension contribution and breaking through the barriers on the assignment. I hope the hospital appointments are helpful.

Today I am grateful for
Another item donated and out of the house
DD being treated y someone she remembered and trusted
A birthday card hitting the right note

Glad DD is ok

well, another week, another pound on. I’m not entirely surprised as it was my birthday on Friday so lots of cake and goody related over indulgences but really, enough is enough. I’m now in a danger zone of being closer to the next half stone up than the stone down marker. That is despite being proud of myself earlier in the week for not eating a wispa by default and through knowing it was there.
Of the four major assignments to be done, one is over the line and one other is heading in the right direction to be completed today. Hopefully a third will be despatched tomorrow.
last week was an interesting week when I did two things outside of my comfort zone. One meant I met someone I used to work with and it was good to catch up. The other I was introduced to someone who had been so lovely to my clients who I dealt with in my days of running a homeless charity. I was finally able to thank them and let them know how much one act had meant to the clients. I also made a donation to them from our pixie dust non pot as we have yet to ring fence funds. In other news, dd continues to heal and to get back to her normal self. She starts her new contract this week but will initially be working remotely. My meeting with the new accountant went well and may result in more streamlining for me.
Today I am grateful for
Staff at a venue taking care of my left behind phone and of a panic stricken me. They even gifted me a take home box
Positive family engagements
Decluttering more than 30 items combined with voluntary work that went well.
